Froststar yawned, he streched his legs and got to his paws. another day without her. he mussed, padding out side.

Ruekit sat up, the dawn filtered though the nursery walls. even though it was becoming warm outside, she still felt cold and empty. she saw her father sitting out there, she shivered, then padded out to see him.
'Hi daddy!" she mewed smiling. Froststar just glared at her, then looked away. Ruekit sighed, then sat down next to him.

  • [align=center]The glare of the morning sun sliced through Darkpaw's sleep like a sword, luring the young male into reality. His eyes opened just a sliver, enough to reveal the dusty emerald pools hidden underneath the layer of skin that created his eyelids. A huff slipped from his lungs and passed his lips. He was not in the mood to arise. Yesterday's training had been brutal, and his muscles still screamed in exhaustion. But he couldn't hold it against his mentor for putting him through such intense training, and leaving him with moaning joints and aching bones. No, in fact, he praised him for it. At the age of twelve moons, his warrior ceremony was just around the corner, dancing on the horizon, just within reach. As the charcoal bengal was drawn further away from the comfort of slumber, he became more aware that in a matter of days, he would no longer bear the suffix -paw. Seconds ticked by, and soon a sly grin began to split his face, lips curled back to reveal a thin row of glinting ivory fangs. Oh, he could already taste the promotion. Once he graduated to a warrior and mentored one puny apprentice, he was capable of being promoted to deputy. And once his leader was out of the way, a new era would reign over the Clan. A chuckle came from the dark pelted male as he pushed on his paws and sat up, tail whisking to curl around his paws. This day would bring him one closer to his destiny, one paw step nearer to the reign of Darkstar.

Lightfrost rose alongside the sun, its mighty rays leaking into the warriors den, and curling its evoking fingers around her mind. It delivered her into the morning, and a soft purr of delight was drawn from her throat as its warm touch caressed her face and flanks. The willowy pale bengal's slender tail curled contently, and her eyes slowly opened, her eyes adjusting to the new lighting. The frosty blue pools were dazzling, sparkling as the light kissed them gently, and the young warrior gathered herself to her paws in one brisk, graceful motion. Within seconds, following a short, quick wash of her short coat, Lightfrost's paws were carrying her outside, and she was welcomed into the morning by a blast of warm air. Her eyes shut, and she inhaled deeply, chest rising as her lungs expanded, inflated with air. She held it for a few blissful moments, before releasing the oxygen held captive in her lungs, and opening her eyes to take in the beautiful scenery of dawn. The fantastic splashes of colors littered about camp- the cool blues, the bright yellows, the blazing reds and the lush greens. The sky itself was streaked with a magnificent array of various shades of pinks and golds, and oranges and reds. Lightfrost's personal favorite era of the day was morning, dawn. It displayed what kind of art nature was capable of projecting, and this was far beyond the most dominant of all the day's time periods. Perhaps such moments as these were a good omen for today. Well, whatever today had in store for her, it could wait after she greeted her leader and his daughter.
"Good morning, Froststar!" Lightfrost called in her politest and most respectful voice. "I hope you slept well? And is that little Ruekit I see there? My my, have you grown! Such a pretty little kit, you are." She strode over, dipping her head politely to the two before she took her first steps. She looked at Froststar, a kind smile curled upon her maw. "You must be proud."
The warrior did not bring up his mate, and Ruekit's mother. She had an idea of how painful the subject may be, and was determined not to harm this day's promise. Instead, she settled back on her haunches, and waited to see what the father and daughter did in return.

  • "Hi Lightfrost! Thank you, i think." Ruekit squeed smiling, "can i go hunting with you today? can i? can i?"

Froststar blinked at Lightfrost, he'd been lost in thought of his pass-mate "err, yes. Good morning to you to" he mewed evenly, flicking his tail. "Is Darkpaw up yet?"

    ooc/
Do you want Froststar to be Darkpaw's mentor?

  • [align=center]((Sure, that'd be great))

Lightfrost purred, a hearty chuckle of amusement erupting in her throat. She crouched down to meet Ruekit's level, entertained by the kit's eagerness. "I'm afraid you're a tad to young to come hunting with me, little warrior," she told the kit gently, hoping not to deject or upset her. A sly plan to cheer up any down feelings that threatened to captivate Ruekit's heart developed in her mind, and she quickly added, "But let's see how many beetles you can take down, eh?" She concluded with a wink, before straightening to meet Froststar's gaze. "I'm not sure, but if he is, my little cousin is probably hiding in his nest to avoid training." Her pale cerulean eyes drifted to the apprentices den, and a pang of sympathy for her relative pounded her heart. "Yesterday, when he came back from training, he seemed pretty worn. Not that I expected anything less from having a mentor with such authority as you, Froststar. I can go wake him- or drag him out of his nest- if you'd like." She looked at him, wondering just what the young male was up to.

    ~

Darkpaw's body twitched as he let out a soft, yet nonetheless heart laugh. The thoughts of being leader where blissful, and caused him much comfort and encouragement. His chuckles suddenly cut off at the sound of voices, and his eyes widened, ears flicking forward in a flash. Were they already awake? He wondered, a stab of fear piercing his heart. Oh dear StarClan, please don't let them have heard him! The apprentice growled lightly, pushing aside the emotion of fear. Shut up, he scolded mentally, directing the command to the chamber in his heart where his feelings were developed. He inched forward, only getting close enough to peer out of the den. His optics brushed over the familiar pelt of his mentor and leader, Froststar, along with his daughter, Ruekit, and his very own cousin, Lightfrost. He pulled away, a light hiss drawn from his lips. He couldn't get just a few moments to dream, now could he? The male scoffed before getting to his paws, pausing to give his den-mate Flamepaw a gentle yet rough enough shove to wake him and grumble, "Time to get up," before slipping outside of the den. The sun gave his charcoal bengal coat a glossy sheen, and he flicked his tail in greeting as he strode over to the three cats, each step causing an aching sensation to ripple across his muscles. Putting on his firmest face, Darkpaw greeted, "Morning, everyone," with an off sense of kindness lacing his voice. "Seems like you all slept well enough to wake this early. What do you have in store for me today, Froststar?" He looked at the leader with admiration in his eyes, a look that he had grown so used to, that it was almost invisible to the naked eye to detect the falseness hidden in the depths of his dusted emerald eyes.[align=center]

  • "Yaybeetles beware!" Ruekit cryed out then scrambled off to add some of her own prey to the pile.

Froststar watched Ruekit silently; "that'll be quite alright Lightfrost" he mewed nodding to Darkpaw as the tom emerged from his den.
He then got up "come Darkpaw were going hunting. Then your assessment. I imagen your ready."

Sorry for the short posts my computer id being fixed and I'm on my phone.

  • [align=center]((No harm done))

Lightfrost lowered her head as Froststar spoke, and her eyes flicked to the side of their sockets as her cousin pulled into view. As if aware of her glance, Darkpaw looked at her as well, although it didn't appear that their gazes were directed to each other. Don't mess anything up, Lightfrost warned mentally, hoping her kin caught the message. He gave the slightest nod of acknowledgement, for although she couldn't reach him telepathically, they knew each other well enough to guess what she was saying. The female watched as her cousin padded forward, nodding.

"Sounds good," Darkpaw meowed, his face bearing an unsettling grin. There was a look in his eyes that betrayed his cool demeanor, something... darker. But it only lasted a second, a mere flash of predicted trouble, and before the next moment could pass, Darkpaw had brushed passed his mentor and on toward the exit of camp. "Let's get on with it, shall we? I don't want my warrior naming to be delayed longer then it needs to be."[align=center]

  • Spottedfall was in the forest, hunting everything she could find. She looked at her pile, 3 mice and 2 voles. She carried them under her chin and her jaws, to take them back to camp.

Featherstorm was sorting herbs everywhere, borage leaves, cat mint, juniper berries, you name it! She looked at the poppy seeds, and thought, I'll go collect some more.

  • Ruekit burst into the medicine cat den. "Featherstorm! Featherstorm! Can help you gather whatever you wanna gather today?"

    ooc/
hey, what do you guys think of a gathering with another clan?

  • I have many clans to think of. How about Solar Clan? And how old is Ruekit? OOC

Featherstorm smiled. "I can use a few paws to help me." she purred. "Follow me." Featherstorm meowed, stepping into the sunshine.

Spottedfall entered camp with her prey, and put them at the top of the pile, when Featherstorm was passing by.

  • oc/
the clan is Skyclan, and theres a plot involved if the leader agrees to it. if they don't then i'll ask her if Solar Clan can join the gathering.
    Ruekits 5 moons.

    ic/

Yay!" squeed Ruekit, bouncing after the silver she-cat. "Hi Spottedfall!"

  • [align=center]Ooc;; I think it sounds like a great idea!

    Ic;;
Darkpaw slowed his steps to match Froststar's speed, his powerful muscles rippling underneath his short coat of charcoal bengal fur. His sharp eyes flicked to his mentor, and chuckled under his breath, before focusing forward and continuing onward, strides shrinking just enough so Froststar could stay ahead of him.
    [align=center]

  • Spottedfall smiled at the kit, purring hello.

Featherstorm led her to the place where she usually finds the seeds and signaled the kit to come.

  • [align=center]The apprentice nodded, straightening his posture and directing his nose to the sky. His maw dropped open, and upon the opening of this new route, the numerous aromas of IceClan land began flooding the glands at the top of his mouth. A new apprentice would have been fazed by the impact of all these odors, but as a skilled and trained senior apprentice, Darkpaw welcomed them without a scrap of fear. He narrowed down the scents and singled out the one of a young mouse, the trail of a promising kill, and licked his lips in anticipation. Without as much as a glance at his mentor, Darkpaw padded forward and on after the rodent. Minutes passed before he finally came across it, a small yet round-bellied mouse, one hardly passed the stage of living solo. He chuckled lightly, lowering his body down into a crouch. Step by step, his paws drew him forward, a silent killer looming over an unexpected mouse. Finally, it entered his leaping range, and his lips pulled back in his unique toothy grin. Easy kill, he thought as his muscles bunched in preparation to spring. He launched himself forward by his hind legs, and landed just short of the rodent. Its head swirled around, but in a matter of seconds, its fate had been sealed. Darkpaw's jaws clamped around its belly, and he tossed it into the air with a ferocity a bit overwhelming. Before it could hit the ground, he leapt after it, and caught it in his jaws again, landing neatly on all fours. The prey was dead, and its hunter was beaming, eyes glittering with pride and zeal.[align=center]

  • Froststar smiled, a bit a of a creepy smile none the less, "Good, very good. now, for your assessment." he mewed, rapping his tail over his paws.
    "bring me something interesting.."

  • Ruekit followed Featherstorm trying not to get under her paws, she looked at the gorund and started to dig.

OOC Can she be Featherstorms apprentice soon?

Featherstorm showed the kit how to get the seeds out of the poppies.

Spottedfall settled in her nest, and slept.
