    To get into that you need to understand aging. You can age RL (for every day RL your cat gets a day older) and when you have a kit born IC your kit can be an apprentice in six moons. Double aging (2 days per RL day) your kit could be an apprentice in 3 months.


    The general standard for a warriors' age varies among groups (SnowClan you have to wait longer for your warrior name) but the basic age is about 12 moons. Thus it typically takes 6 months to a year to age your kit all the way to a warrior.


    When your cat's old enough to be an apprentice or warrior (or even elder) you can either post in the ceremonies threads that Clan leader RPers will put up or you can assume a name change.


    Basically, yes, it all depends on your cat's age. 6 moons to be an apprentice, 12 moons (standard) to be a warrior.
