    "W-W-W-W-Well, you s-see I-I-" Umbreon was loosing his cool, literally- he was red hot with embarrassment. "-I didn't know which night. I'm just always up at night- I'm sort of nocturnal, not really, but I just can't go to sleep at night. I-I'm sorry, Espeon..." Umbreon let out quickly, his face rapidly turning from red to black again.

    IC: "Oh, sorry, I guess I just got paranoid there for a second..." Espeon started to laugh, "look at us, a couple of days ago we were too timid to say a word to each other, and now-" Espeon smiled warmly, "now we trust each other with every old secret... did you hear my singing?" Espeon asked, smiling. She found herself more comfortable in the subject now.

    Umbreon began to feel hot and sticky. His glance darted to and fro, and his mouth widened in a forced, hesitant smile.

    IC: "And to think that you called me up tight just yesterday!" Espeon laughed, "come on, did you hear my singing? And by the way, you aren't very good at hiding emotions." Espeon stopped mid-step (she was moving to be in front of Umbreon) knowing she had said something she shouldn't. She then continued and sat facing unbreon, pretending she hadn't faltered.


    OOC: (if you are confused) get it, "you aren't very good at hiding your emotions"? He had been trying to hide his emotions from her for years!

    OOC: lol XD
    IC: Umbreon looked at Espeon sadly. The truth is better than nothing. "No," He muttered. "I was out and about."

    OOC: wait was "no" the truth or not?

    IC: Espeon tried to hide her look of relief, but, to her own surprise, she began to sing to Umbreon.

    "I had my eyes,on you,
    no one else held my mind, like you,
    and the winds blew hard when you weren't around,
    I was all alone then!


    Now I can see the light!
    Can see that it's in your eyes!
    you mean more to me than anything I know of!"

    OOC: Umm... Umm... wut O_o
    IC: Umbreon looked slightly taken aback at Espeon's sudden singing, but eventually he closed his eyes and listened intently.

    "It was a surprise
    the look in your eyes
    when I saw you hiding


    the glow gave you away,
    though I was aloof that day
    I soon knew;"


    Espeon's voice wavered slightly.


    "from the first time you stuttered
    asking a simple request,
    I recognized the reaction,
    from the first time I spoke to you
    though I didn't know that day what I was doing,
    it was all a reaction,
    I did know one thing-


    how I felt.


    Then you ran away
    I thought of that day
    and I realized why,
    why you acted the way you did."

    IC: Umbreon listened. Had she come up with this on the spot, or had she made it up before? He knew she loved him and all, but he was beginning to feel slightly awkward.
    OOC: Dat's all I got

    IC: Espeon had stopped singing, and opened her closed eyes to see Umbreon's unnerved face, and decided not to try to read his mind, (psychic type, remember?) "what did you think?" Espeon asked cheerfully, hoping to brighten up the mood.

    "It was beautiful." He purred, trying his best to sound engaged. Flinching, he looked up at the sky. It was no longer dark, and the stars were bleached with the faint rising of the sun on the horizon. Umbreon dived into the shadows of the leaves below him, careful to keep his rings glowing so Espeon knew he hadn't run away.
