"No, why?" he said running towards the window seeing meteors fly past the night sky. He put on slippers and ran outside raising his sonic screwdriver and looking back at it, "No, no no no! Not now!"

Fey's eyes opened in alarm and she followed the Doctor out, her eyes wider than before, "What did you just do? What is going on?!?" She asked suddenly, "Doctor, what aren't you telling me?" -
"It's nothing," he said as the meteors went away, "It's fine." He walked back into the house and crawled back into the bed pushing Hobbes aside.
-
The human looked down and became silent, slowly following the Timelord inside, "Good night." She whispered softly, not pausing to say anything more or to fetch her cat who was now laying on the Doctor's chest, sleeping. She got into bed and curled up, holding a small locket hanging from her neck. -
The next morning The Doctor climbed out of bed to fell Hobbes rubbing his feet, "Morning Fey!"
-
Fey was still in her room, sleeping, when the Doctor called 'good morning'. She made a quiet sound and shifted, "Good morning..." The woman mumbled, slowly sitting up and then wincing, "Ouch... Can you get me some aspirin and a glass of water, please? I have a splitting headache... The pills are in the bathroom behind the mirrors, and there's cups in the cabinet above the stove." -
"Not a problem." he said, he then ran off towards the bathroom opened the mirror and found some aspirin, grabbed it, got a glass and put water in it halfway and gave it to Fey, "There you go, no hassle."
-
Fey smiled a thank you and took the pill, laying down, "Wow. I don't know why my head hurts so badly... I didn't do anything strenuous last night to cause it." Hobbes jumped up beside her and curled protectively by her stomach, nuzzling her arm as she gently stroked his head, "What was that thing, Doctor, that you used last night?" -
"Oh this old thing?" he said pulling out his sonic screwdriver and turning it on, "Just a light." he said smiling at Hobbes purring besides Fey.
-
"Liar. It's not just a light." Fey said, studying him, "There's some sort of display." -
The Doctor looked at her and quickly changed the subject, "What's for breakfast?" he said, "I'll make it if you feel to bad."
-
Fey frowned, "I'm not hungry... Go ahead and make whatever you'd like, just don't destroy my kitchen." She sighed quietly, nuzzling into the blankets. Hobbes nuzzled her, letting out a worried 'meow'. He jumped off the bed and nuzzled the Doctor's leg, letting out another meow. -
"I'll try not to, oh and Hobbes, it's better if you stay with Fey." he turned around to the kitchen. He came running back a shocked expression on his face, the fire monitor beeping, "Um," he started, "The microwave is on fire."
-
Fey paled, "Oh, God..." She murmured, hurrying to the kitchen and grabbing the extinguisher. Within moments, white foam covered the kitchen, the fire out. She sank to the floor, clutching her head. -
"I swear, I just opened it and it BURST in flames." looking at Fey he felt really bad knowing he did this his hand pulling his hair back.
-
"It's fine." Fey whispered, "Don't worry about it, Doctor." The girl winced and rested her head on her knees.
-
"You know, we can just go out for something." he said, "Because THIS," he pointed at the microwave, "Isn't going to work." He looked at Fey and started to chuckle.
-
Fey waved him off faintly, "It's okay... I don't feel well enough to leave the house, Doctor. You go ahead and go get yourself something to eat... I might see you again later." The saddest and smallest smiles flickered over the pained author's face and she looked down, "Thanks for staying. It was nice." -
"It was, hey Fey I might see you again!" he said pulling his trench coat around him and pulling his shoes on. Hey waved goodbye and headed towards the TARDIS. He slapped the telephone box gently and said, "Well old girl, l-lets go." his eyes started to water, "I can't." he said lightly to himself. He opened the door and walked into the large room and sat down wiping his face.
-
Fey sat silently before hearing soft crying. She slowly stood, Hobbes following her, and made her way to where the crying was. To her surprise, the doors were open to the telephone box, and the inside was so much larger... "Doctor?" She asked softly, stepping in. Hobbes hissed faintly.
