Halt, who was in no playing mood, drew his long blade during the commotion, and poked the sharp, yet cold blade on Jake's shoulder, and very sternly, but softly said, "I don't know who you are, and I don't know what you are trying to cause, but it will not happen. I'm not with these people, nor am I against them, but I sure as hell protect people from thieves."

Halt then stepped back, and positioned himself in a way that he could attack if need be, but re-sheath as well. He stood there awaiting something, but even Halt didn't know what.
