    Emberheart gave up her search for the leader and padded over to the medicine cat's apprentice. "Good morning, Hopepaw," she mewed. "Are you preparing for your journey to the top of the volcano?"

    Orangepaw yawned to himself as he laid in his nest near the back of the apprentice den, his mentor hadn't came to fetch him yet so he took the time to just doze and stretch himself out so he wouldn't get to hot.

    Orangepaw blinked awake at a shadow coming across the den and he got to his paws scenting it was Emberheart, he poked his head out smiling weakly at his mentor, "What we up to today?" He asked softly ears perked as he stepped fully out of the den.

    "Always ready!" Orangepaw replied excitedly since he loved battle training quite a bit more than hunting, "Can I grab something to eat first..? I'll be real quick!" He stated rushing off before he had a good answer though he knew Emberheart would want him full of energy than with none and he needed to eat to have full energy.

    "Of course!" Emberheart mewed, but he had already run off. She shook her head and smiled. That apprentice was a handful. But she had high hopes for him.
