    Northernkit was fast asleep, curling her tail around her nose while keeping herself warm. While she slept, Southernkit rolled his eyes. She was playing too long yesterday, he thought, keeping his amber gaze on his sister boredly.

    Clawstar woke up and stretched. He walked out of his den and looked around the camp.


    Lostecho opened her eyes and shook her fur. She closed her eyes and walked out of the den. It didn't really matter to her if her eyes were open or closed. There was no difference.

    Clawstar dipped his head in greeting. "Hello, and good morning," he said.


    Lostecho yawned and opened her eyes. "It is a good morning," she mumbled still yawning.
