    [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; width: 200px; height: 100px; border: 0px transparent solid; overflow: auto][justify][font=georgia][color=white]the tabby sat in her nest within the lighthouse. she had gathered the materials for a nest with little gems on the edges of it, so it looked nice. yet... lovekit couldn't get what standardpaw told her out of her head. love wasn't a big deal to most, but for the she-cat, it was a huge deal. very massive. but don't go thinking ' whoa lovekit's gonna get a mate and have kits soon ' no. nope you're wrong, friend. lovekit let out a long and puzzled sigh. her mind was flooded with both thoughts of romance and the thoughts of who'd become the new guards and medicine cat apprentices. it was boring to wait.

    Candykit had been napping. Yes, napping. She may have been an up-all-night, highly caffeinated kit, but that didn't mean she never succumbed to sleep. When she woke up, she instantly spotted Lovekit nearby, looking at a pretty nest. Candy's nest was nowhere near pretty; it was a lump of feathers and fabric, often strewn about after a night of horizontal running in her sleep. Recently, she'd been stirring more. The topic of high positions stuck in her mind. She kept getting these horrible nightmares of her family screaming at her to be smarter and tough up and be as good as her mother and father already. But she wasn't as good as them, so her family had to suck it up as she cried in her dreams, never getting any more intelligent.


    She didn't cry now, though. When she was awake, she was the real Candykit. In her sleep, she was fake. At least, that's what she believed. Real Candykit never cried. Ever. She was always smiling.


    "Hey, Lovekit!" she mewed. The kit seemed to have something on her mind. "How's it going?"

    Oh. Yeah, Ques understood. The kitten had, in fact, multiple small crushes in TidalClan (none she'd reveal, of course!), but some of them she'd come to think of as merely friends. Friendship was one thing, and romance was a whole different ball park. "I get it," the black cat mewed. "Um, you could try talking to him for a while, and see how you feel about him then!     "oh, darling, love life is hard." southy said with a short smile. she, for one, definitely understood how lovekit felt--she herself was about to birth her second litter, the father of her first litter in thunderclan, the father of her second someone she didn't actually love. kiwanomelon was inactive, anyway, he might never see his kits.     Candykit frowned. "Love can be really confusing." she agreed. That's why everybody's my best friend! "But I'm more of an action type of cat. Perhaps you can sort of hang around him and see how you feel. Or just ask him to go out with you or something and see how it goes." The dilute calico shrugged. Since when was she a love guru?


    Since never. Her information was not really rooted in any evidence. At all. She was just sort of guessing. Love was close to friendship, right?


    She was just trying to help, though. Help was good. She liked helping friends... and, well, since everybody was her friend, she liked to help everybody. And Lovekit, being a close friend, was one of her top priorities.
