A normal research facility, in appearance, is actually an illegal base of research founded by a doctor who's mental health is disputable. He is researching the bonds between twins, and for that he is kidnaping one twin from a few families, leaving the other one free.
The captured ones are put in groups of two and sometimes forced to feel pain, to oserve the reactions of the respective twin at his/her brother/sister's sufference.
Our characters are the twins (fraternal or identical) and our captured characters are forced to stay in the same room.

We start with your character's arrival and meeting the doc, and then my character.
The doc is Will, so I think you know him.
My twins will be fraternal, Mark and Emily. Emily is the kidnapped one.
Both of them have sea green eyes and blonde hair. Couldn't find pics for both, but you know how Emily looks. So just..post the basics about your characters and I will make the starting post ^^

  • Okkie Doki!
My twins will be identical. Labrys and Artimis.
    Labrys is the kidnapped one.
Both of them have silver-white hair, Labrys's goes down to about her bottom of her spine while Artimis's is just shoulder length. Both of them have blue almost purple eyes. Labrys is about an inch taller that Artimis.
Both are about sixteen. I might find pictures for them... Later...

  • {{OKay. I got it ^^ Though to be honest I like to imagine the character more than to see a picture. Emily was captured about 2 weeks before Labrys, so she's already there.}}

It was a rainy day at the research facility. Nothing seemed to disturb the peace and quiet of the building.
In his office, a man with fiery red hair and piercing emerald green eyes waited patiently.
The door opened, and two tall man stepped inside, a girl walking between them.
The redhead looked at the girl, a smirk tugging at his lips. She was his new patient, in legal terms, but in reality she was just a toy.

  • The girl's eyes were shifted downwards towards the ground. Some her silver white hair fell in front of her blue purple eyes, as they were clouded with confusion and rather terrified. Her vocal cords rather strained from when they brought her in, and her cheek throbbing as she had tried to get away in the confusion of the event. She walked forward with the men as they did, as she didn't want another smack. Her eyes came up slightly from the floor as she noticed a guy, a doctor by guess of his attire. His red hair almost looking like it was a real fire, was different to what she had seen.

"Come on, Labrys... Just calm down..." The girl thought to herself, trying to calm down but it wasn't working as she lifted her gaze from the floor a lit more.

  • William stood up and walked over to the girl, lifting her chin up with his right hand gently. He looked at the red skin of her cheek for a moment, before looking at the two men that had brought the girl in.
"Which one of you?" he asked, the gaze turning into a glare.
"I..I..I did..." one of the two answered looking down.
"Stay here. You can go to your work now." William said. The one who had hit Labrys remained there, and the other one walked away.
"Come on, let's get you to your room. I'm sorry for how rude they are. My name is William." he said to Labrys leading her down the corridor.

  • The girl didn't try and resist as the pain in her cheek had already told her were the limits of the one that hit her was. She watched as the doctor lifted her chin with his right hand, his hand was somewhat cold to her. The girl watched as her eyes constricted slightly, as he asked the two of which one had hit her. She stayed quiet but was there a change in his voice, his tone?

"My ears must be playing tricks with me..." she though to herself as some of her hair was still in front of her face. Though that was the only conclusion she could come to. She found it rather odd that the one to leave was the one that hadn't done anything to her, did this doctor have something in mind? She brushed that thought aside as it might have been worth nothing.

The girl watched as the doctor started towards a corridor, out of the corner of her eye she could see that one guard standing there, waiting to see almost if she would follow. She really didn't want to find out what he'd do to her if she didn't follow the doctor so she quickly made haste after him.

The girl's head lowered once again as she caught up with the doctor, or William since he had just introduced himself. She wasn't fond of introducing herself, but as she looked at one of the doors in the corridor did out of the corner of her eye spot that one man behind them. "Labrys... I'm Labrys..." The girl said as best she could though her voice cracked as she did so while she just followed behind him.

  • "I know your name. I know everything about you." William said with a slight smirk, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he walked. He knew she wouldn't run. Not with the guards and the other doctors. A simple little dart with a sedative would make her limp in seconds.
For a few seconds, his thoughts wondered around, mostly in the future.
He almost imagined that one day he would finally end up with a satisfying result from all his research work.

Of course in real life his dreams were impossible, or so most of the people thought. He was called crazy, a lunatic, and everyone cut every way for him to do what he had in mind.
But against all odds, and against law, he began researching on twins, and it went on for a few years.
No one had discovered that he was the author of the kidnappings, and even if they did, he would still be safe. He had who to blame.

William snapped back to reality soon enough and stopped in front of a metalic door. A simple signal with his eyes and the guard that had followed them opened the door. William looked at Labrys and stepped inside.

The girl that was already there stood up immediately. The room was a medium size. The only furniture inside were the king sized bed, a small coffee table and a cabinet and two chairs.
The girl had blonde wavy hair that was reachind her elbows, and emerald green eyes. She didn't seemed impressed, or happy to see someone else, she had a neutral expression.

  • "You.... You do?" The girl stuttered say at Williams comment, not knowing what he meet by that though something in her guts told her it couldn't be good. Her eyes scanned the area around the corridor, metal doors, slightly dark in the corridor as the light in the corridor was coming from the dim lights above. Her eyes narrowed slightly, she hadn't seen much of another soul around this place except for the two guards that had brought her in and doctor William, but she wasn't going to bet that there wasn't any other staff here. She could see that the doctor was off in his own thoughts as he lead her down the corridor, but on what was her question.

"Calm down, Labrys, calm down." She thought to herself trying to calm her nerves, as her eyes continued to scan around her. There were slight cracks in the walls close to the floor boards, but most of them were covered and filled in. She could only tell because she spotted a small inch of a crack showing were a small piece of paint had fallen off. Only confirming the fact that the building had to have been here for a while.

She pushed the strains of her white hair back behind her ear, as she watched the doctor stop in front of a metal door. It was a large metallic door, though she watched as at a simple flick of the doctor's wrist did the as the guard that had hit her op.en.ed the door with ease. Then as William looked at her then walked into the room, she took that has she had to follow him, or else that one guard might get another swipe at her which was what she didn't want. The girl slightly followed in behind the doctor, knowing that the other option wasn't a good idea to her.

She watched as she entered the room, it was slightly brighter than the hallway, but her eyes quickly darted to the girl in the room that had quickly stood up as the doctor that had entered before her. The room was somewhat large, but not extremely large like the building exterior would have one believe. Though the only furniture in the room was weird to her, a King sized bed, a small coffee table, two chairs, and a cabinet. "Why... Why the one bed?" She wondered as true it was big enough to fit two but it was still weird to her. Her eyes darted to the floor of the room, it was a dark dirt brown carpet. Her thoughts a stir over what the color the carpet could have originally been and what could have happ.en.ed here. She shook her head to get rid of the thoughts for the time being. "Oh, Labrys, you have been playing too much Phoenix Wright before being dragged into this..."

Her attention went to the girl after that, her hair was a wavy blond that went down to the girl's elbows. Then the girl's Emerald green eyes looking at the doctor and her. The girl had a neutral expression on her face, though she could guess she wasn't happy to see anyone else like her or doctor William. She looked at the girl right in the eyes, her eyes somewhat shaking though narrowed after sometime to control her nerves. This was a development that she didn't like and the pains in her gut only told her it could get worst fast.

  • {{Only one bed cause if you were illegally kidnapping kids and keeping them in a building like that, how much would you be willing to spend on furniture? :P}}

"Well of course I do. What kind of a doctor would I be if I wouldn't know everything about my patients?" William asked, with the always present smirk on his lips. He glanced around the room with quite a bit of satisfaction, seeing verything was in place, until he looked at the blonde girl and saw she was keeping her hands behind her back. He walked over to her.

"What are you hiding?" he asked in a low growl, his eyes getting a threatening glint.
The girl showed her the few pieces of paper and two pencils in her hands, sustaining his look with a glare of her own, apparently not intimidated.
"What's this?" he turned to the guard and pointing at what the girl was holding.
"Y..you see....she draws...and...the rest of the doctors..agreed to let her...do that...." the guard gulped, remaining at the door. William remained silent for a few moments.
"From now on I demand to be informed about any change regarding my...test subjects. " he said and motioned for the guard to go out.

"Well, Labrys, I hope you two will get along. " William said after that, his apparently peaceful state of mind returning and he stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him. Seconds after, the click that was signaling the door was locked was heard.
The blonde girl sighed in relief, throwing the paper and pencils back on the bed and sitting down.
"Don't worry, he won't be back for a while now. Also, you might not want to try to escape, to insult or cause injuries to the guards or medical staff, because you don't want to know what the punishments are..." she said with a slight smile.
"I wouldn't like to see someone like you going trough that..." she added with a slight sigh.

  • {{Of course, though some reason In my mind its usually no bed. XD}}

The silver haired girl didn't really like the sound of that from doctor William. He knew everything about her, that one sentence made her skin crawl under her sleeves and a fridge chill down her spine, but she didn't show it on her face. Not wanting to give anything that could be used against her. She could only just watch the doctor questioned the blond haired girl about what she had. It was only a few pieces of paper and two pencils, she could see why the doctor was getting rather upset, in her opinion, with the guard on his explanation of why the girl had them.

She wasn't fond of William sudden demeanor change, that had to be the quickest change she had ever seen for anyone, and usually for her it wasn't without a reason. Her blue-purple eyes somewhat following him as he walked out of the room, as the door easily closed behind him. Then the sound of the door's bolt engaging was one of the things she would have loved not to hear.

She turned back to the other girl in the room, a sigh of relief escaping her lips as the one 'doctor' was gone. That was when the other girl started talking. Her first statement, sank some of her spirits, he was going to be coming back. "Great..." She thought to herself as she listened to the girls warnings.

"Sadly, I'm more prone to it happening anyways. So that might be unavoidable... even on my best behavior." She said with a slight smirk as she already knew for a fact it was true, since elementary school if is she acted good. Someway, somehow she would get on a teacher's bad side. As she had said that she took a few paces into the room towards one of the two chairs. "Though I guess those warning come from experience..."

  • Emily listened to the girl quietly and sighed.
"listen, I was the only one who escaped this place once...I spent two years here before I managed that, and now I've been here for 2 weeks now. Of course I'm talking from experience. Don't brake the rules....." she said with a serious look.
She knew the consequences of that very well, as in the first year here she never followed any of the rules.

"That's why he's so suspicious of me. Even for some paper and pencils..." Emily continued, smiling a little.
"You must be tired..." she added looking at the girl. "I....will be back in a bit. Don't make too much noise or we're both in trouble..." she said and hopped on the bed, easily sliding out one of the metal pannels of the ceiling and jumping up, dissapearing in the darkness that was in the hole.

  • "Yes, mother... I'll follow the rules...." The girl said rather sarcastically as she had already told the girl that even if she played 'the innocent' girl. One way or another she would still get in trouble or break some rule, the ending was unavoidable in her mind. She couldn't help joking at the girl's serious look. "But I can easily bet that before one whole day, twenty-four hours, from now. No matter how hard I try I'll somehow break a 'rule'."

At that she sat down in one of the chairs, the wood had been worn the cushions on it as well. So it wasn't the most comfortable chair she had ever been in but not the worst. She ran over the present development in her head, this girl had escaped once two years ago and had been caught two weeks ago. "Well... well... If Alcatraz can be escaped from then so can this place" She thought to herself relaxing on the chair, as out of the corner of her eye she watched the girl exit through the tiles in the ceiling.

She would have like to go after the other girl, but on this one it wouldn't be her best option being her 'first' day here. She cl.os.ed her eyes her mind running off in though as she did so. Lounging in the chair, with her legs over one of the arms of the chair and her back against the other arm of the chair. Her hand went behind her silver hair, under her hair that they were hidden under neath it. She just stayed there, drifting off in thought.

  • After about two hours or so the blonde girl came back. Well, sort of. She had missed one last jump needed to make an impressive entrance, and fell on the bed on her back. With a sigh she stood up and looked at the other girl. She seemed peaceful, though the chair wasn't so comfortable. She couldn't really do anything to help with that without waking the girl, so she left her there, thinking she was asleep.
She plopped on the bed and focused only on drawing something on one of the pieces of paper.

  • She didn't remark as she could hear someone landing on the bed. After all this time the girl had come back, the girl's landing could have been better but she had no room to argue on that. Her mind was going over other things, like trying to make a step map in her head, and little pieces of evidence she found on her way here. Guessing with the punishments around her would be painful, she might forget some but in this little situation it might happen anyways.

"One hundred and seventy-nine..." She murmured aloud keeping her eyes closed, she would have moved her legs but by not the were probably numb or numb like. The pins and needles feeling in them were giving the basis for that guess. She slowly started to move them so she could get rid of those pin and needles feelings in them.

  • "179? What's that?" Emily asked pausing the drawing for a minute and looking up at the girl. So she wasn't asleep after all. She remained silent for a few minutes, trying to figure out what the number could mean, but when her mind didn't managed to come up with something, she directed her attention to the piece of paper again, but only to fiddle with the pencil a bit.
"I'm Emily by the way...what's your name?" she finally asked, a bit tired of the silence that they were in. It was getting a bit awkward.

  • "Steps from the start of the corridor to here... One hundred seventy-nine." She said once more as she had caught the girl's attention on that one. She shrugged, guessing the other girl had guessed she was indeed sleeping in the chair. After a second she turned out of her position she was in on the chair so she could get the pins and needles feelings out of her legs.

"I'm Labrys. And I already know its a weird name." She said after the girl, Emily, had asked the question. Then usually guessing the next part that was always a keen to 'that's a weird name' or something like that. Though she was just guessing that was the next thing to come. Yet, anything was better than the awkward silence that could come back at any moment.

  • "It's not a weird name...I like it" Emily smiled looking up at Labrys once again. The fact that she counted the steps from the beginning of the corridoor until the door showed that she had a hope to escape, so maybe she wouldn't have to escape alone this time.
"But if you're thinking about escaping, there's no way we can take that path. After the corner, there are more than 3 corridors you would have to follow, and I don't think you would count on luck..." she added smiling.

  • "You're probably the only person I've ever heard say that one." She said as other people she had know usually said that her name was unusual or down right weird. Her eyes went to Emily, she seemed rather emotionless on face value but she could only guess at what she was feeling on the inside. True, escape would be the best play out of here, as Emily had already warned her on the punishments and with her luck she would end up in some of them. "Of all the times I wish I wasn't so accident prone..." she thought to herself as she came back to the conversation.

"True, taking the corridor itself would be asking for trouble." She said in response to that, as she could bet that this doctor wasn't an idiot or his staff for that fact. "Unless the sub ceiling stretches that far."

  • "Well, everything has a first. I think my name is too common" Emily smiled.
"That passage? It stretches only as far as the empty room at the end of the corridor. But it's better then nothing, since that's a room that connects to another corridor, and in one of the archives there should be a plan of the building." she said, though not very certain of the exact place the plans would be.

  • "Its not to common to me, Sarah's the most common name I've hear." The girl said with a smile, then coming back on topic with a serious note. "Yes, it is indeed better than nothing. It would be great if we could case the place to find those plans and blueprints as well, though I doubt the 'Doc' would let us out of here 'unsupervised'..." She said with a slight sigh towards the end, as it mean that when ever they could get out of that one room they would have to secretly. "And the fact that he could be back any moment isn't so great either."
