    A small blush formed on Lynx's cheeks as she followed close behind, almost like a puppy. After a few moments of silence, she finally spoke up "How far is this café?" Her cheeks still dusted with a slight pink as she looked at both of their hands together.

    After a minute more, Ame literally skidded to a stop in front of a nice cafe, barely breathing hard. "Here we are," Ame smiled, swinging their joined hands idly. "It's really nice, right?"

    Ame blinked, glancing down at their hands. She turned red, pulling her hand away from Lynx's and stuffing her hand in her pocket. She flipped her hood, hiding her face in her caramel curls. "S-Sorry," Ame mumbled, turning her head so Lynx couldn't see her face. She took a shaky deep breath and took a step towards the cafe. "Uh, y-you don't have to come. Sorry if I forced you, Lynx."

    But Ame made a small noise, hiding her face in her hands. Tears dripped between her fingers, landing on the toes of her dirty boots. She hung her head and was thankful for the way her curls and her bangs fell into her eyes. Ame stepped out of the doorway to the café, thinking, despite her situation, it's rude to waste cold air conditioning in the Summer...
    She sniffled, pressing the heels of her hands into her eyes hard. Ame looked like a mess when she cried, all sniffling and gasping and the like.

    Ame nodded, but kept silent. She turned suddenly, her long caramel curls reaching all the way to Lynx herself. The tips of her curls brushed against Lynx's hand, feeling soft and feather-light, and carrying the smell of almond shampoo. Ame walked in, one hand in her hoodie pocket and the other holding the café door open with a trembling grip.
    When Ame reached back behind her to hold open the door, her hoodie sleeve yanked up, revealing jagged, faint scars all along her wrists. Her wrist was unbelievably bony, as if her clothing had been the only thing hiding her real size. But Ame didn't seem to notice any of this.

"Those are old scars, I promise, lynx. You don't have to worry." Ame flashed her a smile that was suspiciously sweet and hastily tucked her hands in her pockets. Something beeped and she fished a small oval object out of her jacket. Ame peessed a few buttons and was rewarded with a round of pleasant beeps and then she put it away and instead held out a was of cash and change. "Look, Lynx!" Ame giggled, clearly having changed the subject. "What do you want? I'll go order for you okay?"
