It almost felt like a success that Cordelia was moving on, and Rainypaw didn't have the foggiest idea why. But now she was Betwixt and it seemed - like it was real now. Rainypaw had only guessed that her slight crush on the Viceroy was just because she was beautiful, but now it felt like more.
"Can I be the first to call you Twixty?" Rainypaw purred as she padded up. -
Dacnomaniacalpaw barely reacted as she watched Betwixt from afar, though inwardly, she was quite irritated. This feline changed her name way too many times. First, she was Jessie, her original name. Then Inkspill--or was it Inkspell?--then Cordelia, and now Betwixt. Really, what was with this cat and changing her name? Noma rolled her deep amber eyes to herself and let her attention drift.

"Noma, I know you are there, I found myself. Betwixt means between, I am between moods. It suits me." Betwixt mewed. Turning to Rainypaw, she had no clue whom this she-cat was. But she was going to consider her friend, although a dark feeling inside made herself want to choke this apprentice, she needed to keep her self-control. "Fine."

[fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 350px;]she was fine with the somewhat frequent name changes from the viceroy. sure, it got a little annoying, trying to remember what her name was sometimes, but it you'd usually get comfortable with it. until she changed it again, making you remember her new name. but once again, sona was fine with it. a lot of people wanted to change their names so that they could find a perfect name that would fit them well. walking over, the blue tortoiseshell only offered a weak smile before returning to her usual depressed expression.

Dacnomaniacalpaw's gaze snapped right back to Betwixt when she heard her sentence. She cared only for one word, or rather, name: Noma. Anger made her blood boil and she resisted the urge to bombard the tiger with a string of curses for calling her by her unofficial and extremely irritating nickname. Biting her tongue, the silver tabby forced herself to look away, glaring at her paws.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px; height: 150px; overflow: auto; padding: 4px; font: 10px georgia; color: black; text-align: left;]"Her name is Dacnomanicalpaw, you know." Akhenaten called over loftily, sticking up for what he knew his friend wasn't saying. He wasn't going to press it, and it sounded more a suggestion than a real challenge. Maybe his friend wouldn't appreciate it, but even the socially awkward lynx knew that sometimes you had to say no if you really disliked it.Maybe he wasn't one to talk. He mentally called the silver apprentice Dae. But he did try to avoid the nickname as he didn't want it to spread. Noma was enough as it was and he made a point to avoid it at all times. Besides, he supposed it was a waste of a perfectly good name if you chose a diminutive form, even if the said name was... quirky.
Really he didn't care for the tiger's change of name. Good on her he supposed she'd found the one that was really for her. But the problem was she was changing it so often he doubted this would last much longer than the rest. However that was her business. He wouldn't pry or question.
"Betwixt sounds nice." He added, feeling some some of comment was needed.[/fancypost]

Seeing obvious tension between Noma and the newly named Betwixt, Silverstrike threw them both an amused glance before speaking. "Girls, girls you're both pretty, play nice." So maybe that would piss off Noma, as a lot of things seemed to do, but hey, oh well.

Hmph.
Noirstar raised his nonexistent eyebrows slightly. It seemed as if Cordelia - Betwixt, now - changed her name every time something relatively important happened in her life. While the tuxedo would try his best to be accepting and all that he was supposed to be as a Monarch, he had to admit to himself it was getting ridiculous. She had been Jessie, and then Inkspell, and then Cordelia. He had rather liked all of her former names, and accepted them, but Betwixt quite honestly rubbed him the wrong way. Well, he supposed, most things did. It had taken him a while for him to get used to Noirstar, anyway. Perhaps he was just getting used to it.
"Well, Betwixt, I hope your new identity lends you happiness."
He shrugged, coming at a loss for words. -
"Congrats on finding yourself...."Lewenkit said unsurely with a click of his tounge. He felt unproper like his usual self.

[fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 350px;]She figured she should cut the other she-cat some slack and all that, seeing as she'd changed her name as well. But she didin't plan on doing it again, or repeating the process as frequently as she seemed to do it. Besides, the only reason she'd changed her name from Jessie Luxure to Quinn Fabray in the first place was the escape the ever present horror of her past with her BloodClan mother, Navyseal. The ex-third tier had named her that, and the blonde cream point she-cat hadn't exactly been anywhere near on good terms with her mother, so naturally, Quinn had gone and changed her name. The surname of Luxure was tainted, anyways, Navyseal's bad habit of sleeping around had made a joke out of it. But, she figured she couldn't really be complaining, after all, she'd allowed her friend Spottedpaw to get her pregnant, but luckily know one knew of that yet, and they'd all believe it was her boyfriend that was the father rather than that idiot RiverClanner.
"Nice new name," Quinn meowed blankly.

Dacnomaniacalpaw was secretly relieved that Akhenaten had stepped in to stand up for her, but of course, she didn't show it. Silverstrike's obnoxious comment only angered her further, but the silver tabby bit her tongue and tried to control herself. Noirstar was near, so if she let herself react, he'd probably punish her. Even though they provoked me, the trainee thought with a grumble to herself.
