Plot
Have you ever felt like you haven't belonged? I don't mean not fitting in because of your personality. I mean if you've ever played a game and afterwards everyone is sweating and you haven't even lost your breath. Or maybe someone was cut and you're suddenly really, really hungry. Yet everyone else doesn't seem to be experiencing it. Or you see things and people that no one else sees. If so, then as you've probably already guessed you're not human. And whether or not you like it, you don't belong here either. That's why the GUDS were made. Otherwise known as the Guardians of Unique and Dangerous Specimens; they're an organization specifically made for people like you. Because eventually, if it hasn't already happened, you're either going to be hunted because you're different or because you've killed. Don't worry, you'll be able to go back! Well maybe, some of the members become so dangerous killing them is the only option they have. There are three islands, one for each danger level.

1: You're insane, in fact you have no control over your abilities and struggle with attacking others. You're not quite at the level for killing, but you're pretty darn close.
2: You're insane, but you have a little control over yourself. Not much, but enough to make you capable of not killing people give or take.
3: You are 50% sane and 50% insane with still little control over your abilities and/or hunger.
4: You are sane, but there are moments where you lose it and hurt, sometimes kill, people.
5: You are sane enough to not kill people, but you still tend to harm a lot.
6: Your control is enough now that even when you struggle with your abilities you won't harm other 90% of the time.
7: You have most control over your abilities.
8: You have total control of your abilities and are now learning how to blend into society again.
Manal
Manal is for the danger levels 1-4. It's filled with forest and light doesn't get through the foliage very often, golden sands are at the edge circling the forest. Drinkable water can be found often within it. Out of all the islands Manal is the smallest and most inhabited with deer, owls, rats, and a bear or two. Fish consist of larger ones like squids and sometimes sharks.
Sorla

Sorla is for danger levels 5 and 6. It is a good deal bigger than Manal and is mostly covered in water and snowy forests. The water in the center of the island is drinkable, but the closer you get to the edge the less likely you're able to find fresh water. Land animals are otters, wolves, and prairie dogs. Fresh water creatures are small fish and this strange toxic lizard that makes the water acid at night. Ocean animals are squids, octopus, and hammerhead sharks.
Fal

Fal is the largest of the islands and is for danger levels 7 and 8. It has a variety of land animals and sea animals. Light get through in great abundance and the GUDS have even made small villages and towns for the occupants to begin to get used to social activity. Many of the senior GUDS inhabit the houses to assist the creatures.
Vampires
Creatures with uncontrollable lust for blood and physical interaction. They're senses are five times stronger than a human's and their skin is flawless and nearly indestructible. They are not immortal, but they age on year for every century. Vampires do not burn in sunlight unless they've been in it for an excessive time, a wooden stake isn't going to be able to pierce their chests however silver might, and garlic doesn't do much of anything except smell bad unless ingested. So all in all vampire weaknesses in mythology do not apply mostly. However if they go too long without feeding on anything they begin to age much faster than they usually would.
Werewolves
Rulers of natures, werewolves are one creature you don't want hunting you. Much like the vampire they have a severe lust for blood and tend to get a little rougher than intended when going too long without the crimson liquid. Unlike the vampires however they don't need to drain their victims to feel full. In their human form werewolves have wolf ears and a wolf tail along with fangs and claws. In their wolf form they're a wolf the size of an elephant. The one time a werewolf would be easiest to kill would be a full moon, unlike in myths, the full moon is when werewolves basically become mortal. That and silver burns them like holy water does vampires in the myths.
Demons
The beauties of Hell, these creatures are flawless physically in any and every way. The demons feed off of sin and each of them hunger for a different kind. This wouldn't be so bad except that if they feed too much or too little they can go berserk and get their sin in any way they can. Part of why 99% of the demons are on Manal. Each balanced meal for a demon is different. They also have a jewel the same color as their eyes and if it is destroyed or they get too far from it they return to Hell forever. They can still feel pain except in their berserk mode.
Shifters
These are normal every day to day people with one little problem: they shift into some sort of creature. And when they do they take on a different personality. Wolf shifters are not the same as werewolves. Werewolves still have control in wolf form, shifters don't. Once they shift they take on the attributes of their creatures and that includes the animalistic tendencies. Shifters can, over time, control themselves in their animal form, but it takes many years of practice.
Moonlight Phantoms
These mysterious creatures haunt the night, able to move around as freely as they wish to the naked eye. Their ability to 'eat' the moonlight has helped give their nickname, "Moonlight Eaters" They're known for their incredible speed, and their ability to 'transform' into a higher 'level' of themselves. Their ability are all super-human (which would be slightly below demon,) besides their agility and speed, which is above super natural level. Certain things that hinder them is simple water; their durability is lacking, near human level. If staked with anything iron, that limb/body part will become useless until iron is off/out, and healed completely.
Exiles
Once holy beings of Heaven, Exiles, are the angels who have fallen hint their name: Exiles. They are human with super senses and strength and speed. All in all they are immortal for they do not truly die, however they have black scars on their shoulder blades where their wings used to be. If touched a person can see their memories and if harmed it will temporarily paralyze them depending on how hard you hit it. They also have the ability of illusion and can read people's thoughts as well to a degree.
Kitsune
Kitsune are believed to possess superior intelligence, long life, and magical powers. They are a type of yōkai, or spiritual entity, and the word kitsune is often translated as fox spirit. However, this does not mean that kitsune are ghosts, nor that they are fundamentally different from regular foxes. Because the word spirit is used to reflect a state of knowledge or enlightenment, all long-lived foxes gain supernatural abilities.
There are two common classifications of kitsune. The zenko, (literally good foxes) are benevolent, celestial foxes associated with the god Inari; they are sometimes simply called Inari foxes. On the other hand, the yako, tend to be mischievous or even malicious.
Physically, kitsune are noted for having as many as nine tails. Generally, a greater number of tails indicates an older and more powerful fox; in fact, some folktales say that a fox will only grow additional tails after it has lived 100 years. When a kitsune gains its ninth tail, its fur becomes white or gold. These kyūbi no kitsune (nine-tailed foxes) gain the abilities to see and hear anything happening anywhere in the world. Other tales attribute them infinite wisdom.
A kitsune may take on human form, an ability learned when it reaches a certain age—usually 100 years. Common forms assumed by kitsune include beautiful women, young girls, or elderly men. These shapes are not limited by the fox's age or gender, and a kitsune can duplicate the appearance of a specific person. Foxes are particularly renowned for impersonating beautiful women. Variants on the theme have the kitsune retain other foxlike traits, such as a fox-shaped shadow, or a reflection that shows its true form.
In some stories, kitsune have difficulty hiding their tails when they take human form. A particularly devout individual may in some cases even be able to see through a fox's disguise merely by perceiving them. Kitsune may also be exposed while in human form by their fear and hatred of dogs, and some become so rattled by their presence that they revert to the form of a fox and flee.
Other supernatural abilities commonly attributed to the kitsune include possession, mouths or tails that generate fire or lightning, willful manifestation in the dreams of others, flight, invisibility, and the creation of illusions so elaborate as to be almost indistinguishable from reality.
Some tales speak of kitsune with even greater powers, able to bend time and space, drive people mad, or take fantastic shapes such as a tree of incredible height or a second moon in the sky. Other kitsune have characteristics reminiscent of vampires or succubi and feed on the life or spirit of human beings, generally through sexual contact.
