• "Sure, that would help" meowed Earthquake earnestly to Crackedmirror. The red tabby really was rusty at fighting and the large she-cat was determined to get back up to speed.

Narrowing her eyes, Earthquake regarded both of her sparring partners. They both outweighed her with ease. Great thought the red tabby, I picked two of the largest felines in the entire Tribe to spar against! Earthquake dropped lower so that her belly fur brushed the ground, the large she-cat had an unusual stance but it helped her move quicker and keep balance. She would not make the first move and the large she-cat would have to try and use her relatively smaller size against them.

Jester crouched, his eyes blazing with new energy. His butt was in the air, not at all what it was like in his first hunt. "Come at me!" he said with wink slinking sideways to circle the other cat.

  • Well, if they weren't going to strike first Nefarious was going to. The snow leopard spun in a tight circle, attempting to whip his long tail across Jester's face, which would temporarily blind the tiger cub if it hit correctly. He then ducked his cranium and hurtled forward, attempting to headbutt the Host square in the chest.

    [[ assuming that they're all fighting each other, no partners/allies c: ]]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 1px solid black; background: url(http://i39.tinypic.com/2hefzhe.jpg); height: 140px; width: 450px;][/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px; Width: 476px; font-family: Cambria; color: black; text-align: Justify;]
Jester, who's focus was on Earthquake, was unprepared for Nefarious's attack. The tail whipped him across the face and he yelped, his eyes watering. A tiny yelp escaped his lips and he was flung back, sliding across the floor.

"Fox-dung!" he growled, struggling to his paws and trying not to wince at the small pain in his chest.

  • He didn't stop there. Rearing onto his hind legs, the snow leopard curled his sheathed front paws into fist-like formations and began to box, attempting to bash the cub around the head, neck, and ears. Nefarious was striking more softly than if he'd been in a real fight, though hard enough to really get Jester's battle blood flowing.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 1px solid black; background: url(http://i39.tinypic.com/2hefzhe.jpg); height: 140px; width: 450px;][/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px; Width: 476px; font-family: Cambria; color: black; text-align: Justify;]

Just as he managed to get his paws under him, Nefarious was on him, batting at his head. The first few punches sent him staggering back, but he managed to dodge one, giving him just enough room to start his own fight.

With a growl the tiger launched himself forward, aiming to close the distance and slam Nefarious off his paws.

  • While Nefarious was distracted the she-cat had followed his movements, reading his speed. Yes, she could keep up decided the red tabby and moving swiftly towards the big male decided on her approach.

Leaping into the air, Earthquake attempted to land solidly on the large snow leopards shoulders hoping the weight would be enough to temporarily off balance the larger feline. She was careful to keep her claws sheathed though; they were only sparring and she didn't want any of them to walk away with anything more than bruises. If successful, the large she-cat would then attempt to shove the male over with her shoulder to hopefully land a couple of blows to the big cats soft belly before he recovered.

  • As Jester rammed into his hind legs Nefarious flipped backwards, flailing comically through the air before landing in a heap. It didn't take long for him to regain his paws -- mere seconds -- but then Earthquake came at him. The snow leopard felt her paws clamp down on his shoulders and her blow as she attempted to topple him once more. A grunt of effort escaped the leader as he fought it, digging his claws into the frozen earth. He managed to stay upright, though only just. Feeling briefly triumphant, he hurtled forward and forced himself into a ball. Using the speed his run had granted, Nefarious somersaulted rapidly towards the red tabby. When he got close he slammed his hind legs back against the ground and plunged forward, aiming to bowl the Baroness over with his leftover momentum.

  • Recovering from her failed maneuver, Earthquake saw Nefarious coming just in time to leap up and only be slightly flung instead of bowled over. Thank Cunsun! That would have hurt! thought the red tabby as she regained her paws. Now where was Jester? Earthquake was careful to keep her eyes on both of her opponents rather than be caught unawares.

Deliberating on how next to attack, the large she-cat caught sight of a branch above the snow leopard that was heavy with snow. Climbing quickly, Earthquake attempted to dislodge the snow so that it would land on the big cats head. If she succeeded, the red tabby would jump from the limb onto the distracted leopard's back and try to land a blow on Nefarious' ears.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 1px solid black; background: url(http://i39.tinypic.com/2hefzhe.jpg); height: 140px; width: 450px;][/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px; Width: 476px; font-family: Cambria; color: black; text-align: Justify;]
Jester watched the scene for a few moments, looking for an opening. Finally, unable to find one, the tiger circled slowly around, until he was behind the two wrestling animals. The tiger then jumped forward, aiming to grip onto Earthquakes back and use his weight and momentum to fling the she-cat off and over him.

  • "oomph" grunted the red tabby as she was flung by Jester. Scrambling quickly to her paws, the large she-cat shook her head in an attempt to clear it. That had hurt!

Moving quickly, Earthquake attempted to catch the cub off guard with her quick recovery. She sprang at the larger male attempting to slide under him and pummel the cub with her forepaws.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 1px solid black; background: url(http://i39.tinypic.com/2hefzhe.jpg); height: 140px; width: 450px;][/fancypost][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; border: 0px; Width: 476px; font-family: Cambria; color: black; text-align: Justify;]
Holy. The Siberian hadn't expected her to get up so fast and soon he was being hit from underneath. With a release of breath the large feline collapsed to the side, gasping for breath and trying to not throw up his last meal.

"Cusun. he growled, trying to pull himself to his paw.

  • Purring in amusement, the large she-cat didn't move to attack again. She knew no opponent would give the cub a break like this but Earthquake knew he was only learning and she didn't want to hurt the young Host.

"I'm smaller than you and I don't weigh as much but I do have some experience" purred the she-cat as she watched Jester struggle back to his paws, "Don't count me out!"

  • Nefarious, taking his opportunity, lunged forward and attempted to slam Earthquake to the ground, belly first. If successful, the red tabby would be both in his control and wheezing for breath.

  • Taken completely by surprise, the red tabby was quite literally squashed by Nefarious. Gasping, the large she-cat didn't lose her head and ran through her options. There was no way she was forcing her way out of the big males grip so instead she played dead, or unconscious in this case.

Purposefully letting all her air rush from her lungs, Earthquake made her muscles relax and lay motionless beneath the snow leopards paws. She had timed it so that this happened just as the male's full weight settled on top of her. If he fell for the ruse, it should allow her just enough time to try to wiggle from his loosened grasp. If she managed to wiggle free the she-cat planned to try and bat him on the nose and then spring out of reach.

  • Nefarious did not fall completely for her trick, though his slackened grip was loose enough to permit her to squeeze herself free. He flashed the red tabby a grin. "Nice one."

  • "The tom who trained me had a motto. 'Always keep your head or someone will keep it for you' that was his rule and I've never forgotten it" purred Earthquake. The red tabby flicked her tail as she lowered herself into her unique attack stance looking for an opening.

Open confrontation was never a good option with a feline as big as Nefarious and the large she-cat wasn't sure how to approach him.

"Any suggestions for fighting a larger opponent when you can't avoid a straight on confrontation?" meowed Earthquake hopefully. She wasn't sure he had any since she didn't think the snow leopard had ever ran into the problem.

  • "Mmhmm. Use the height difference to get under their belly - you can also reach their, ah, private parts more easily than they can you." he paused for a moment, then scooted backwards, crossing his forepaws over his lower belly. "But, um, not on me. I'd like more children first."

  • Purring in amusement, Earthquake stalked forward teasingly.

"You afraid of little old me? Why I'm hurt!" joked the red tabby with a grin stretching across her muzzle.
