    Erin nodded. "Yeah, he works at a really nice piano store downtown. He loves the store like it's his, well, I guess child," she laughed quietly. "Happy is probably and understatement."
    Erin started down the stairs again. "Well, everyone tried to convince me there was monsters down there," she rolled her eyes. "I used to be terrified of it when I was really little, but I went down there and it's hair really pipes and concrete," she said, shrugging, although she was smiling gently.
    Erin turned to look at Xavier to see his response. Smiling, her eyes sparkled gently.

    Xavier smiled as he listened he stopped before he walked into Erin as she stopped suddenly.
    "Ah well many people aren't happy in their current jibs but its what puts money in the pocket and food on the table" he smiled softly.
    He knew how it felt to hate your job but he wasn't the one to stick it through if he hated it, he had too many oppertuinites to choose from to stay in one place forever and that was why he was still single and with just his dog and cat for company.
    "Ah i knew it every lovely house has spooky basements" he laughed as he watched shepard go back up the stairs and then back down to them.
    "I hate basements" he added as he looked at a photo on the wall.
    "How can you stand a basement?" he asked her as he looked at her...

    Erin shrugged. "I don't know. Guess I'm either fearless or there's something wrong with me," she said, laughing gently. "Anyways..." Erin looked at him with a gentle smile on her face. "Why don't you like basements?" as she spoke, she gently put her hand on the stairs railing.

    Xavier smiled at her.
    "I'm sure nothings wrong with you, you just have no reason to fear them" he laughed as he watched her.
    "Watching too many horror films i guess, and having sibblings of course" he smiled as he watched Shepard look at them both.

    Erin smiled as he said he was sure there was nothing wrong with her.
    She looked at him curiously and smiled a bit. "You have siblings? How many? I'd like to meet them sometime."
    In the background Erin faintly heard her aunt call for them to eat, but she was completely and totally focused on Xavier and Xavier only.

    Xavier smiled at her, she seemed to zone in on just him he was still smiling as he locked eyes with her.
    "Yer quite a few actually, they usually all come to christmas dinner and my parent's place maybe you'd like to join us sometime" he smiled as he gave her the offer.
    Shepard trotted past them after the smell of food and barked happily at the smell and unhappily at his owner who was keeping him from his delightful smell...

    Erin beamed and gently folded her hand into his. Her slightly smaller hand fit nicely into his slightly larger one. "Yes, I'd love to join you. Very much," as she said this, she remembered to take in every aspect of that moment, and a warm smile spread across her lips.
    Erin took a step down the stairs and examined a picture hanging on the wall. "I bet your family is full of great people. Or so I'd presume."

    He felt her hand in his and smiled more, he locked eyes with her as he listened to her speaking.
    "Then you should join us maybe bring your family too" he smiled as he watched her.
    Shepard was sat watching them.

    "Thank you. Yes, I bet they'll love to come." Erin looked down and her breath caught in her throat for a moment. "Xavier, can you make me a promise?" she asked, with a almost sad, but defiantly hopeful look on her face. "I know that I'll know you for a long tome, I can tell that already. Promise me... whatever happens... You won't leave," she said slowly. Quietly, she added, "They always do. I swear, they always leave."

    He smiled and looked at her as she spoke.
    "Good i'm sure they'll love it" he said as he watched her.
    As she spoke he looked up at her and watched her eyes.
    "I promise Erin" he said though he knew his work would eventually make him move again.

    Erin smiled. With a quiet voice, she said, "Thank you Xavier. You have no idea what that means to me." Out of the blue, Erin gave him a quick and tight hug. "I haven't had a friend like you in a long time." Blushing, Erin backed up after a moment.

    Xavier smiled at Erin, but wasn't the hug so his reaction to it was late.
    He smiled as he rubbed his arm blushing lightly.
    "I believe it means a lot to you to hear it, and don't worry i'm not going anywhere anytime soon" he smiled as he took her hand softly then let it go and made his way to shepard who was barking loudly at them.
    He petted him and looked at Erin he smiled softly.
    "I think they've been shouting us" he smiled as he watched her...

    "Yeah..." Erin's gaze drifted towards the stairs for a moment. "Coming! Just a minute!" she called down, her gaze then returning to Xavier. She gently rubbed the palm of the hand Xavier had held for a moment. "Xavier I..."

    IC: Xavier nodded and smiled at Shepard as he trotted off and followed the smell but wouldn't go in the room without Xavier.
    Xavier stood and looked at Erin, he smiled at her and watched her.
    "Yes Erin?" he said as he turned and looked back up the stairs at her now forgeting again about the meal waiting for them.
    "Are you alright Erin?" he asked as he placed a hand on the rail.

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine," she said, trying to reassure him. Coming down the stairs the rest of the way, Erin put a hand on Xavier's shoulder. "See, I'm fine," she whispered in a very unfine way.

    Xavier turned and watched her he smiled after her but he was courious as to what he'd be worried about.
    He followed after her smiling and patted Shepard on his head.
    Shepard stuck close to his masters side as they moved next to Erin.
    Xavier smiled at Shepard and looked up at anyone in the room...

    Soon they were all gathered around the table, everyone eating and chattering almost quietly. Almost. Erin sat next to Xavier, and Erin kept on glancing up at her Grandmother Susan who was slipping Shepard bits of turkey. As she watched, she smiled brightly. She stole a glance at Xavier and found herself blushing gently.
