A nightmare before Dark(Private!)

Rion smiled slightly as he looked over at the bed once he was ready. He was so happy and lucky to have Kali as a mate. He walked over to her and lightly kissed her head again.

Goodbye, my beautiful mate. he thought to himself. See you later.

Alec opened one eye and smiled at his mate. "Morning." He said softly.

Ebony looked up at him and said, "Let's go."

With a last smile at Kali, Rion left the room and the den, heading towards the border to await Ebony Shadow-WanderPawe.

Seattle smiled softly at her mate.

"Good morning." she said softly. "I hope I didn't wake you, love...?"

Gregory sighed and nodded, giving Ebony a quick kiss, before getting up and helping up his mate, then making sure the fire was out completely. He turned to wait for Ebony.

"No, you didn't wake me love. I was thinking about Travis and his mother and brother." Alec said as he hugged her close.

Ebony got up and said, "Go and have fun. I'll be fine, I promise."

Seattle sighed and nodded.

"I feel so bad for them..." she said softly. "This is probably killing them... I doubt if either Jace or Travis are ever going to be the same again..."

Gregory sighed and tilted his head.

"I can, at least, see you safely to the border..." he said softly. "But it's up to you, babe."

"I know, but Travis must be punished. The you, Rion, Ebony and I will go see my brother." Alec murmured.

"If that is what you want to do. I just don't want to make your father and brother wait." Ebony said as she shifted.

"Don't worry, babe.. .I'll take a short cut and meet them at Freyby's Ridge." Gregory smiled softly.

As Gregory shifted, he howled to let his father and brother know he was accompanying Ebony to the border. Talk's slightly panicked howl answered that there was no need as Ebony wasn't going near the border and to get his tail to the cave.

Mommy Talk is getting his knickers in a knot. Gregory grinned at his mate. Shall we get going? The sooner I get them at Freyby's Ridge the sooner my brother can stop sweating bullets.

Ebony chuckled and then said, Let's go. She then raced off towards the border.

Seattle nodded with a sad sigh. She knew that Travis had caused a lot of trouble and needed to be punished, but she could also see he felt bad. She smiled slightly at her mate as he mentioned going to his brother.

"Even though the circumstances aren't ideal... I'm looking forward to meeting your brother." she said softly. "I've heard much about him from Kali and Ebony..."

Gregory huffed a laugh and raced after his mate.

Alec kissed her forehead and said, "You'll like him. He's a good man and I'll miss him when he goes."

Travis paced in the holding cell. He was terrified, but he knew it had to be done.

Ebony looked at Gregory and said, If you want you can tell Talk that you know about what happened. It'll at least ease his panic some.

Seattle smiled as Alec kissed her forehead.

"You're a good man too, Alec... even if you don't think so." she said quietly. "And no matter what anyone thinks, you're an excellent Alpha... it's me who's lacking."

She then nodded.

"Well, we'll need to get you two together as often as possible so you can spend some quality time and build good memories... that way, when the time comes... at least you'll both be able to accept it easier..."

Jace woke early and walked into the kitchen to see his mother talking to a warrior.

"W-what's going on?" he asked.

Shelby turned to her son.

"Drake's here to make sure you stay put during your brother's punishment, Jace." she told him.

Jace scowled.

"Like hell I'm staying here...!" he growled. "Travis is my brother! I have the right to go!!!"

Gregory chuckled.

Nah, let him sweat a while more before I tell him. he said with a wolfish grin. It serves the little runt right for lying to me!

Alec smiled at his beloved mate. "Sea, you always seem to know what to say to make me feel better. I know that the pack is still giving you a hard time, but it'll get easier, I promise. As for my brother and I, I really hope we can make up for all the bad years we've had."

Ebony looked at Gregory and said, "Don't get mad at him. I was the one that told him to lie. Talk was only doing as I asked.

Seattle smiled warmly at her mate.

"Then that makes two of us, since you always know what to say to make me feel better too." she said softly. "And I know that things with the pack will get better. They just need more time."

She bit her lip slightly as she gazed into Alec's amber eyes.

"As for you and Danny... I believe you can." she said slowly. "I have faith that you can mend your bond. I get the impression you were once very close... but it'll have to come from both of you Alec."

Gregory grinned at his mate.

I'm not mad... just really, really, really enjoying this. he chuckled. I enjoy teasing my little brother... but I'll let him off the hook when he's just short of jumping off the Ridge.

Gregory's eyes showed he was joking. He then nodded.

Don't worry, Ebby, I'll tell him when I see him and dad.

His ears lowered slightly as he realized they were nearing the border.

Drake turned to Jace.

"You'll do as your told boy, this comes from the Alpha himself."

Jace glared at the older male.

"I don't care if it came from Lupus himself... I'm not staying!"

Shelby turned to her son and Jace's eyes widened to see his mother was barely keeping it together.

"Please, son... please, just do as you're told." she whimpered. "One of you is bad enough... but if I had to watch you get punished too..."

"I don't know what I'd do without you." Alec said as he nuzzled into her neck and gently kissed it.

Ebony huffed a chuckle and then saw Rion up ahead. She slowed once they were near the border and then looked at Gregory. I promise I'll be alright.

Seattle giggled softly at Alec's words and actions, then snuggled closer to her mate.

"I didn't do or say anything all that noteworthy, to be honest... it was just my true feelings." she said, then sighed. "Come on, Love.. .as much as I know we don't want to get up and as unpleasant as the business will be, we have things to do and duties to take care of. We need to get our rumps out the bed..."

Gregory nodded with a sigh.

Alright... be careful babe. he told Ebony as he gently nuzzled her.

A warrior saw Kali out on her walk.

"Beta...? Where are you going?"

Jace hugged his mother and sighed, nodding slowly.

"Alright... you win... I'll stay here..."

"Your true feelings mean a lot, love." Alec said as he pulled back and got up. He then started to get dressed. He tried to relax but it was hard.

Ebony nuzzled him back and said, I promise I'll be careful. See you soon.
