  • Wow, great job guys!!

I also agree with Palcha as the name (:

I like the idea about the Darkness.

Sorry for the short post, I'm running on fumes right now, didn't get any sleep

  • Okay, I've finished the first intro part-and I know it's long, but there's a lot to explain-remember it's a draft, so anything I forgot please tell me!

It actually doesn't look that much-it's three pages on word!

  • I love that, kitteh!!!

While reading the last part, a question arose inside this thick skull of mine. What would happen if the Darkness won the battle on a moonless night?

  • I'm glad you like it, obviously after that would come the rules and the form and the language et cetera.
I did think of that, and I think that question is best left to Noodles, as she kind of came up with the idea. I don't think we're planning for them to win, but they do take cats and drag them into the Darkness.

  • OOC: Yup! We've got a really good one! All credit goes to Demons~! ( >w< )/

Anyways, I'll just read the intro over and correct accordingly for any errors and such. ^^ I'll also write down any questions I have!

  • Revised intro:
As you push through the dense foliage, your paws stealthily pass over the fallen leaves, making you appear to float. Tail twitching, with the markings [of what?] blending into the dark, shadowy expanse of leaves, you raise your nose, smelling and scent the air. Momentarily taking your eyes off your the path ahead, you lose focus and step stumble onto a fallen twig. Of course. The most cliché way to reveal your presence. With a sigh of relief , you pad on, sensing when you sense no other beings no one else nearby. A rustle in the leaves straight to your left makes you freeze, pupils dilated and fur on end. With an amused purr, a huge black panther steps out of the foliage, lithe muscles rippling like water, the and black dappled pelt shining in the dim sunlight that has penetrated the thousands of shadowy leaves. With a start, you turn, eyes wide with surprise. The panther is smiling, eyes warm. You are only half its height, and it sits to help with the height issues.
“Hello.,” It it purrs, a feminine tone rumbling through the notes. “Welcome to our Palcha. Our gathering.” She smiled,s and turneds, her tail waving, beckoning you to follow. You do so, walking quickly behind the huge panther to keep up with her steps. As the forest thins, sunlight reachinges the ground more easily, and you start to hear sounds, like loud voices talking, and chattering, and punctuated every now and then with louder calls. Ears flicking to pick up these sounds, you meow in surprise as when the panther stops. With a rumbling purr, she turns, and still smiling ., says, “I forgot. My name is Harmony, or Valaney, the name we have for Harmonyan alternate word for Harmony. I’m traditionally called Valaney, but informally Harmony. But I’ll Let me take you to someone who knows more about it this than me.” She purreds, and you widened your eyes look alarmed at the mention of another cat.
With a small exclamation, you clear your throat, then query., “Is this cat as big as you?” You ask, tail flicking. The panther purrs again, another smile on her lips. still smiling.
“Not quite. A little smaller.” She turned, padding onwards.s and pads onward. You follow once more, and push through a line of trees and, entering an area where sharp thorns surrounding a grassy clearing with patches of sandy earth. You meow in surprise again at the sight that meets your eyes. MThere are many cats, including some Servals, Lynxes, some Bobcats, Carcals, and a few Ocelots, and in. What's more, in the centre of the clearing, there are even more huge cats! Harmony led leads you in that direction toward them, and sat sits in the circle, filling up and empty space. There was is another gap in the spherical shape, but you sat sit behind Harmony, eyes wide and curious while as the other cats carriedy on talking, oblivious to your tiny presence. Harmony cleareds her throat, and instantly, the other big cats stopped, looking towards her. quiet down and look at her. You cringed as amber, blue, brown, and green gazes met meet your fur, making you feel uncomfortable. Still, you sat sit in place, waiting. Harmony smiles at the other cats.
“This is a cat I found as I was patrolling. I think we should educate her on our Palcha.” She smiled, then nodded With her smile still in place, she nods toward to a stark white Snow Leopard that had with crisp black markings. The white snow leopard regardeds you coldly, her icy blue eyes matching the gesture. [Explain what you mean by "matching the gesture"?] “Okay, Harmony. I’ll do my duty.,Sshe half-snappeds, eyes narrowed. You feltfeel the urge to run under her intimidating gaze, thethose eyes seeming to hold pure coldfrost.
She padded up to youPadding up to you, she flickings her tail for you to follow her. “I am Wisdom, or Eurell. I assume Harmony has told you how we are called by our traditional names only on those occasions?” Sshe askeds, her voice still cold. You nodded, eyes wide and ears flicking with uncertainty. The leopard sigheds.
“Our Palcha operates on a council that runs the Palcha. Harmony, as you may have guessed, is the neutral leader, as her name suggests. The council is called the Council of Virtues, and we each represent one of those virtues. There is me, Wisdom, or Eurell, Harmony, or Valaney, Strength, or Ro’a, Justice, or Dryka, and Hope, or Sfine. There is also Charity, also known as Kilan, but she was killed under suspicious circumstances a moon ago.” She lookeds down, but her gaze wasis not sorrowful, but a flash of angerangry.
“We each have a Pillar of Righteousness, or informally called, a Pillar. Each Pillar is chosen by our previous Virtues in a part of the Spiritriver, our plane for the spirits of the dead. They are our closest advisors, our best friends, and our biggest supporters. Because the role of Virtue is traditionally known to take turns in gender, the Virtue and Pillar are often mates.”
“The Pillar also becomes Virtue when the Virtue dies or steps down. In the case of Charity, though, both the Virtue and Pillar were killed, so we have to wait until a new Virtue and Pillar are chosen.”
Wisdom satsits down, rolling her eyes. “Our territory is somehow able to support all the races of cat we have here. I may have forgotten to mention that each Virtue represents a different cat. For example, I am a Snow Leopard, Strength is a Tiger, Hope is a Leopard, Harmony is a Panther, et cetera. You’ll understand when you’ve been around here more. The form of each Virtue never changes, by the way. Strength will always be a tiger.” She laylies down, crossing her paws, and keeping her head held high, cold gaze lookings you right in the eye with her cold gaze. You mutter a few words to yourself , then raise your voice.
“What about the spirits?” Yyou ask, still curious. Wisdom raiseds her eyes to the sky, and you realise realize with a start that you are sitting under shady trees once more.
“When you die, you go to a place we call the Crossroads,...unless you are a Virtue. At these crossroads, all we know is that you are met by an ancestor, and you have to choose to trust the ancestor and jump into a raging, rocky, spiralling spiraling river, or go against your ancestor and choose a sunny meadow. This is all we know.
“Anyway, the Virtues go to the same Crossroads, but are offered a third choice,: the place of the Honoured. This is where all Virtues go. Regardless of whether you choose the river or the meadow, the Virtues are able to go between to the Place of the Honoured and their choice., but it is their choice. She sighed, then looked to you, gaze as cold as ever. Sighing, she looks at you, gaze as cold as ever.
“Any more questions?” She asked, and yYou nod nervously.
“Yes. Uh, is it just us?”
Wisdom rolls her eyes. “Obviously not. We have outside threats. Boars, Wolves, and Bears all try to attack us often. They all have trials of strength, speed, and size, to determine who will lead their senseless attacks. Fortunately, they aren’t very intelligent, so we don’t have to worry much. We just fight them and carry on as normal.
“This brings me to another point. All our cats here are trained from an early age to serve each other. There are the Warriors, the ones who specialise in fighting, the Hunters, who provide food, and many more. Each division has one head, which is the most accomplished and leads the section of cats. At a young age, each cat is assessed by the head of each discipline and myself, then appointed into a division. That young cat is then appointed a teacher.
“Also, aside from our outside threats, a group of Dark cats, spirits of evil cats past, attack us every Moonless Night. We protect all cats and fight them. T, so they never win.” She said says the last part with determination, then lookeds back at you.
“Anything else? All I can think of now are things you will learn as you stay here longer.”
    You shake your head, satisfied.
With the first rare smile, Wisdom retaineds her cold glare.
    “I think you’re ready now.”

    Questions:

This question isn't really one that's all that important, but how does stealthily passing over fallen leaves make you appear to float? With the loud sounds of crunching from the leaves as you pad on them, I wouldn't really think you'd appear to float... This is a really small and insignificant detail though, so you don't have to pay any attention to it or change it. It's just me being sensitive to detail. u^^ I guess we all have our different images in our heads, huh?

Huh. Looks like that's my only question. xD Anyways, yeah. Correcting this and reading it over was fun! Good job on it! ( >w< )b

Well, think of it like this: If you're passing over fallen leaves and trying not to step upon them you lift your feet. Therefore; your , I dunno, feeling as if you're floating? I think? I don't know, it made sense to me. Though I'm weird like that XD

  • OOC: xD Well, it's nothing much. It doesn't really matter all that much. ^^ To me, it appears more as if you're more conscious that you're on Earth, but oh well. *shrug* xD

    Can't wait to RP Tiger, or Ro'a~!!! \( >w< )/ Hehe, I'm excited. X3

  • Looks sweet, kitteh! nice work on this intro- it kind of also eliminates the need for a history and belief system section. My only things to note are that you could tell them that Kilan/Charity is a cougar, and also perhaps call the warriors and hunters Sharpclaws and Longfangs(Since messenger is now also a job, they could be called Fleet/Swift/Quickpaws, whichever you like best, Elders could be Grey/Silversnouts and cubs would just be Young ones I guess. Mothers I don't think have to be a rank- what do you think, they still retain the rank of whatever else they have, they just happen to have cubs now? Like Mother isn't a job, a she-cat would still be a Longfang for instance, just on leave for a bit), seeing as you describe what the job is, having the Palcha name for it should be fine even without using The Language name for it, again just to stray from Erin Hunter.

About the Darkenss, yeah, they'll never win, but I suppose if they did, They'd just move onto attacking any other creature that tried to live on the same land, effectivly making the land cursed/haunted.

  • I like the form, but should we add appearence description or something since it is an advanced thread. So we can see their description skills as well? Just a thought, but that's how I usually see it down and how I'd have it for an advanced form for this kind of thread so we have not only a picture but we have their descriptive skills on something they can see and choose to portray as they like. 9:

  • Yeah, I was going to modify the form just a little and shoot it back to you guys. Anyway, I'm happy to replace all the corrections, Bunny.

Her eyes match her cold demeanor, as the colour of the ice matches her frosty attitude.

Okay, now, I just wanted to work on everything else like the rules. Here's what I have so far:

Yeah, I get the feeling there's a lot more to that, but I got lazy...if there's anything I missed, please say so.

I'll do the RP rules in a second. I've got my cousins reading over my shoulder and it's driving me insane.

  • OOC: Oh. You'd better make that more clear in the intro then. ^^ To prevent any confusion.

As for the Palcha Rules, the only mistake I see is "towards" should be "toward." Not only do I think "toward" is much more formal than "towards" (although when I looked it up, it said that neither is more correct or formal than the other, but you should use "toward" just to be on the safe side), I think I also recall my English teacher saying something about this. About how one is correct and the other is incorrect. Or something.

And yeah, I hate when people look over my shoulder. It makes me uncomfortable and embarrassed, as well as pressured if I'm playing a game and I'm doing pretty good. You know when you say you can do something and then when you go to demonstrate, you end up failing? That's kinda what happens to me. u^^

"N-no wait! I swear, I can do it! That's just bad luck!"

  • Oh my holy crap xD
-I got Justice, don't worry (no pun intended) xD
-In real life, oh my god I have no label I am everything, even though I look pretty emo according to my friends o_o I'm wearing my new Paramore shirt (with Hayley Williams back facing front), my Batman men's boxer's (because I don't care who walks in seeing me in my underwear, I'm old enough to not be ashamed of my fat flabby bod xD), and hamburger socks... yes, HAMBURGER SOCKS!!
-It's hot where you are. Here, we have SO MUCH FRACKIN' SNOW.
-My mind drifted off after the naming of everything, but yeah I was just spitting it out for yucks.
-I'll shoot by some banner ideas, but you guys don't have to use them, especially since I can only draw cartoony.
-I forgot; Hidden Demons/Broken Kitty loves Darkness, so Hidden Demons agrees! (talking in 3rd person)

See? I feel like minimal contribution DX Sorry I was gone earlier, I went shopping and turned in a job application to Hot Topic. Everyone who works there (except the manager) is my friend, so I'm excited, hopefully I'll get the job.

  • OOC: M-men's boxers...?? But... *glances below your profile to see the female sign* ...are you some kind of...pervert? xD Jk, jk~! I'm just confused now. u^^ So...I'd like an explanation. *raises hand as if I'm in class* ( >w< )/

    And I want snow... ( -w- ) Snow~! I didn't take advantage of it before. I want to take advantage of it now! Snow~! C'mon, snow already~!

And don't worry~! You're definitely contributing! \( >w< )/ We give you credit for the awesome sign-up form you made!
