    Joel nodded as she spoke. "That's alright. I shouldn't have acted that way in front of you anyway..." He said folding his arms across his chest and leaning against the door frame.

    Joel looked at his feet. "I'm not the only guy in the world you know." He said without the usual proud tone to his voice. Joel reached out his hand and touched her shoulder lightly. "You'll find someone." He said with a small smile.

    Ally smiled weakly, but enjoying his touch on her shoulder, "Thanks," she said, looking at him with gentle eyes. She just wanted to hug him and feel his arms around her, but she knew she couldn't do that, and didn't want to be mean to Nina.

    "You better get some sleep." Joel said smiling. "I'll see you tomorrow." Joel closed his door and took off his pants before hopping back into bed. He hopped Ally would feel better about him and Nina the next day.

    Ally smiled, "Goodnight," she said before going into her dorm. She got in some pyjamas and quickly went to the barn and put on Harley's night winter rug. She said goodnight to him and went back to her dorm. She slowly fell asleep.

    Gabby yawned. "I'm going to bed, I'll talk to y'all later. Oh and Bree, I did do Raven's stall, he must've been hungry and thirsty." she said. Gabby hugged and kissed Luke's cheek, hugged Bree, ignored Justin and walked out of the barn. She rubbed her eyes and walked to her dorm. Not even changing, she flopped on her bed and fell asleep.

    Ally slept for a little while but then kept waking up. She was very restless for some reason and she sat up on bed. She yawned and stretched, rubbing her eyes. She grunted in frustration, wanting to sleep.

    Gabby woke up at 3 am screaming and crying. It's just a dream Gabby, calm down. She was breathing heavily and tried to calm her heart down. She was still crying and turned on the light.

    Joel awoke to the sound of screaming and rushed out of bed. He pulled on some sweat pants and a t-shirt and ran bare foot across the dew covered grass to where the screaming was coming. He knocked on Gabby's door urgently and waiting, preparing to bust the door down if he had to.


    Bree very early and got dressed in some riding pants and a hoody. Then she headed to the stable and fed Raven his breakfast and refilled his water trough. After he was done easting, Bree tacked him up and set out on the trail for a sunrise ride. It was long before she thought anyone else would be up but Bree hadn't heard the screaming at 3 am. She held Raven back for a while before letting him have his head. Her black stallion raced along the path until they came to a large meadow with beautiful yellow flowers. Raven galloped through the grass, his mane flying up into Bree's face.

    "I-I'm fine!" Gabby managed to stutter out. She wasn't fine at all. Gabby had the nightmares come back. She couldn't see why she got them back. Gabby was tapping her foot with her hands in her hair. She had finally stopped crying, her breathing was uneven.

    Joel raised his eyebrows. "Gabby you're a terrible liar." He said grabbing her shoulders and pulling her into an embrace. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked before letting her go. Joel looked at Gabby with a worried expression. She seemed deeply disturbed about something.

    Gabby pushed out of his embrace, the last guy who wanted to know ended up like the rest. She looked out the window. "You wouldn't want to know." Gabby said, barely above a whisper.

    Luke walked in up to Gabby's door "Gab let me in, or I'll break down this door! he growled Chester started grazing. Luke looked at the guy standing at the door.

    Ally woke quickly to screaming, she got up quickly, still in her pyjamas and ran to Gabby's door. She saw Joel and Luke there. "What's happened?! Gabby are you ok?!" She asked desperately. She went to Gabby quickly, forgetting that she was in her pyjamas, she didn't really care.

    The battered old horse truck rumbled up to a stop in the driveway.
    A woman and a girl got out.
    "OK, Chrissy, this is it. Remember, you've been here before for a trial day so you know where everything is. And you can catch a bus that will take you home in half an hour if you need to. Call me when you're settled."
    "Alright, Mum." the girl replied, going round the back to unload the three horses; a 16.3hh lanky and long-legged chestnut gelding whinnying like a colt, a calm cream-coloured horse reassuring his owner and behaving impeccably as always, and a dainty light brown arab mare who was shivering and looked about her with wide eyes.
    They met with a member of staff who helped settle the horses and put the tack away, before Chrissy kissed her Mum goodbye and promised to visit next month.
    Chrissy walked up the dorm hall with her suitcase. She heard a commotion in the next room. Feeling awkward as usual and hovering uncomfortably, she knocked at the door.

    "I told you I was fine! E-everything's alright!" Gabby stuttered again. "Just go to sleep guys. I'll be fine." she said clearly this time. Gabby pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged her pillow. "Completely fine..." she said quietly.

    Ally sighed, "You don't seem it," she said, rubbing her back gently. She looked at Joel and Luke, "Do you know what happened?" She asked curiously.

    Gabby glanced at Luke. She hoped no one noticed. Gabby wasn't quite ready to tell anyone else. She shrugged ally's arm off. "Just go to bed. I'm fine."
