Ravenn goes blind in canon, remember?
And then Castle just blurts it out and lets Ravenn know where he is and gets himself killed

I KNOW BUT IT STILL HURTS
Also with how you describe Ravenn in canon I still question why Esprit isn't dead
Because she gave him the love no one else ever had. Ravenn's a monster, but he wouldn't kill the only person who patches him up and hugs him (even though he doesn't like to be touched) and genuinely wants him to be happy.
"even though he doesn't like to be touched"
are you telling me that boy doesn't enjoy Esprit's kisses and hugs of death bc if not I can take them away
but I getcha
He loves kisses and such but the hugs of death he can do without
I mean regular hugs are fine
just not death grips
(on the flip side of the coin he likes her tail coiled around him this boy is strange)
He is.
I also really want some random plot that involves Esprit saying to Rav, Y u gotta do me like di$ bruh
If there ever was a Three Letters Back game, this would be the soundtrack for regions and such.
(I'm so bored.)

Despite its name, ShadowCasting isn't necessarily magic that involves manipulating shadows or darkness. It's hardly even magic.
Originating with Lorian natives due to the naturally altered state of the planet back in ancient times when it was first colonized after being broken off from Alternia, it's a natural ability; the same way as glowing skin is a natural ability of rainbowdrinkers.
It generates a type of electricity-esque power resignating in a special chamber in the brain specifically designed for 'purifying' energy given off by cells that, when left unaltered in this way (like in us humans or normal trolls) would normally just be used for the cell itself or energy for the whole body.
This 'electricity', referred to as Casting, is a defense mechanism. It's hereditary, and discolors the eyes and turns normal outer body parts into a silver-like metal. It depends on the severity. Some inherit what's called TrueCasting which is extremely rare and gives a troll ALL of the traits of Casters: silver claws, silver teeth, Casting electricity in the eyes (which is what gives Casters 'silver' pupils), mercury-colored blood, and full control over their energy (with practice).
But again, finding a TrueCaster is extremely rare--they're obsolete, actually, the only ONE ever recorded being in the Trader family, and hadn't lived into adulthood.
The actual metal of silver has been found to enhance the outward effects of Casting. ShadowCasters on Lorian specifically have weaved silver into their cultures no matter what origin they hail from, and decorate themselves with it. Wristbands, piercings, necklaces, horn decorations, earrings, anklets, ect. Sometimes they even include melted silver in coloring for tattoos.
Though silver helps the flow of the energy into actual, usable electricity which is mercury-colored, casting shadows on everything else (hence the name ShadowCasting) which is very similar to lightning in behavior; again, Casting is entirely inherited. While some could deck themselves out in damn silver armor or something they could still only generate a small static, while others can just dO THE LIGHTNING THNGI BOOM BOOM with almost no silver on them.
Casting is pretty much useless in modern times besides to just look pretty or win fights. Especially lazy Casters use it to pick stuff up and bring it to them from across the room, turn lights on and off, light small fires, or to just look pretty cool in front of others. It's also quite useful for creating non-computer-generized dubstep.
I said to myself I wanted a Caster
and then I remembered
Ferrara
Ferrara's a Trader. She's born into a family that's literally all ShadowCasters. c:
aND I DON'T EVER HAVE A CHANCE TO ROLEPLAY HER AND IT PISSES ME O F F
All the fantroll threads on here suCK
I KNOW.
EVEN THE ONES I MAKE SUCK SOMETIMES OR MAYBE IT'S JUST THE PEOPLE WHO JOIN THEM AND THEN STOP REPLYING AFTER SO LONG
we could do a Trader family thread or something because the Traders in general need more screen time because who doesn't love a family of quirky Italians who are all overly obsessed with certain things, can manipulate electric energy and collect 978327198273981273 dogs
Ye
I mean isn't Ravenn the only openly murderous Trader anyways
He technically isn't the only one, Verona and Turin are the same way. But Verona is was just really bad with anger management and shot people who annoyed her and Turin is just a loony toon. But Verona is dead and Turin doesn't travel with the family so no worries
In fair Verona, where we set our scene
woops I just started reading that
