  • "I'll be fine whether or not I head out." She said, returning his smiling and walking tiward Hewn and Leo. "I'll yell you if I need help. But IRS not hard to clean this smalk house. And you won't need to hunt. I am capable of such minority." Allison said said with a smile, and ruffled their hair. "You should head to bed now, its getting late." She said

  • Allison caught Leo off guard when she ruffled his hair. At first he gave her a strange look of mild confusion, but then he slipped a small charmed smile. "Yes, miss Allison" he said politely, before heading off straight to the open bedroom.

"Miss," Gewn said before following her brother. "Woulld you allow me a place to wash up just before bed?"

Ooc: Little bit of a muse road bump today...

  • She smiled back, and watched them head to the bedroom. She watched as Gwen turned around, tilting her head. "Of course. It's down the hallway in that room." She said, pointing to where it was. "You don't need to call me miss. Just call me Allison." She said, smiling sweetly.

  • Listening to the three voices from down the hall, James slowly began to slip into a state very near sleep, where everything seemed sort of surreal. A few moments later, he fell asleep entirely, becoming blissfully unaware of the world around him, living only inside his head.

  • Leo fell back on the soft bed with a sigh of relief and blissfullness. This place seemed like the kind of place he and Gwen would comfortably be able to call home, he decided. Leo began to wish Allison had caught the two of them earlier, had he known they would be treated so well.

"Thank you very much, Allison" Gwen said with a smile, before heading down the hall. After entering the bathroom, Gwen was slightly shocked to see her reflection in the mirror. A small, boney frame along with a pile of golden locks stared back at her. It had to have been a month- two? maybe three?- since the girl had last seen her reflection. She could have assumed that her looks might have changed somewhat over time, but she definitely hadn't expected this. Splashing handfuls of water on her face and in her hair, Gwen tried her best to fix her small predicament. After running her fingers close to a hundred times through her wet hair, she finally became satisfied with her clean appearance. After finishing up in the bathroom, Gwen slipped out and headed to the bedroom.

  • Allison sat on one of the three chairs in the room her and her brother had spent most of their time, just talking. She moved into a small ball, hugging her knees to her chest as she thought. As she always had done, it having been a habit of hers. She heard the door, but ignored it, to caught up in her thoughts. He's later than usual. I wonder why, and where exactly he is. It normally only takes him maybe four days. It was simply so this should have narrowed the time frame down to two days. I don't even have the slightest idea what route he took. So tracking him to find him is completely out of the question. I should have him tell me from now on. But that'll have to wait. First I need to make sure that James, Leo, and Gwen are asleep before I even think about leaving. And I'll also need to make sure no one comes when I'm gone. So, I'll need to set up traps around the perimeter. And having to do that makes me have to give him a sign that they're there, he'll fall into one if I don't. Jeez, why is having others over so complicated? Leo and Gwen are only kids. And James seems like he could really protect himself. She thought, her mind flooding and she lost focus on reality.

  • James was asleep, and so would not normally have heard the door open. However, his time in the dungeons had taught him that if he was asleep when someone entered a room, they would probably wake him in some sort of unpleasant fashion. For this reason, the soft sound of an opening door slipped through to his sleeping mind, and he awoke. He did not move, however, wanting to see who was coming in without startling them too much. If it was someone with ill intentions, perhaps he would go unnoticed. If it was Allison's brother...then perhaps he would not appear to be a threat. He closed his eyes almost entirely, watching through the open slits and waiting for this newcomer to show themselves.

  • ((Hey, how old are James and Allison? Gewn and Leo are 14. I don't know if that's kids, or teens, or whatever. I guess it depends on how old your characters are.))

  • (So Gwen and Leo would be sort of in that strange point between being a kid and being a teenager, I suppose. They're too old to completely depend on someone and not quite old enough to completely take care of themselves.)

  • Allison's brother, Cade, had come in through the back door. He walked into Allison's room, expecting her to be there, and not James. He walked up to the bed, and saw someone other than his sister, and raised a brow. "Looks about the same age as Aly. But still don't know why he's here. Probably saved him. That is strang. She normally hates to help others. Calls it a hassle, and troublesome. Oh, and so you know. You are abnormally good at faking to be asleep. But Aly's better than you." He said aloud, having only the final part meant for James before he walked toward the door. "She's going to be infuriated with me." He mumbled, walking toward where Allison was, seeing she hadn't been paying any attention to what was happening in her surrounding.

  • James has been quiet and still when Allison's brother had started talking, but when he had finished, he sat up, regarding this newcomer with curious grey-green eyes. "I'm not sure whether to thank you or apologize," he replied, one corner of his mouth twisting upward. "I am sorry for intruding in your home - I take it that you're Allison's brother, yes? However, your sister did rescue me from burning, and I am grateful to her."

  • Cade stopped walking, and turned around, leaning against the door. "To thank or to apologize for what? Have you embraced my sister while I was away? Or merely cause some form of a dilemma? Intruding on our home? That's no bother, yet I would still like to know why Allison has let you stay here. And beyond a doubt, I am Aly's elder brother; by five years." Cade said, looking at James with what could be called disinterest; however, his eyes were filled with wonder, and just a trace of the older brother wishing to kill James, of course depending on his answer to Cade's first question.

  • His eyes widened a little. "Embraced your sister? No, never! I just came here today, actually, and the thank or apologize bit was referring to your assessment of my ability to feign sleep." He offered a cautious smile. "My name is James. I have no idea as to why I am being allowed to stay, or why your sister saved me, but to the best of my knowledge I have not caused a dilemma of some sort." He hesitated a moment, then added, "However, your sister did also find two young siblings hiding in the house, stealing food. So far, she is letting them stay here as well."

  • "I'm Cade. And I hope that you realize you just denied my sister anything like that from you. Do not forsake yourself by doing something related to my sister. However, I did complement you on your ability to fein sleep, I only said you were not as trained in the process as Allison. I was also wondering when they would be caught by her. I merely found it arduous to find them in this house." Cade said, smirking a bit at how James reacted to his first comment about Allison and him.

  • He narrowed his eyes slightly. "I am not about to deny your sister anything - I think she might kill me if I did - but I will promise that I will not do anything to her without her explicit permission." He paused for a moment, then sighed. "You don't need to worry, though. I'm pretty sure she's not interested in me in that way, and to be honest I am alright with that."

  • Gwen came to a stop in the small hallway when she heard the muffled sounds of voices from the next room. That was odd- she was sure that James had already gone to sleep, yet the voices sounded as if they came from his room. Peering into the bedroom she was designated to stay in, Gwen observed her brother who was already drifting off into sleep. Knowing that Allison was in her own bedroom, Gwen couldn't guess who on earth James could be talking to. She had just begun to conclude that James might have been sleep-talking when she turned the corner. Gwen let out a short gasp when she saw the man standing above James's bed. She stepped back in shock and slid her hand onto the doorframe to brace herself. She could not speak, and even if she could, what would she say? Her eyes darted to James, looking for some sort of explanation or assurance.
