    Kelli growled and grabbed his hair,yanking down so he stared into her eyes at perfect height.She crashed their lips together and kissed him with an abundance of passion,continuing to pull on his hair,free hand roaming his chest and stomach.She pulled away after what seemed like forever."Luca...you bozo."She whispered and let him stand up straight,burying her face in his toga."I'll always love you.It's just...you didn't tell me."


    Dakota rolled his eyes and watched everyone while he took another huge bite of cheese."Maybe..."He started,swallowing the cheese whole."He just went for a walk? He'll be back.I mean...it's not like he died.Hopefully."


    Leila snarled."Then stay here and sleep,stupid!"She shoved him and whirled around."Follow me,and I'll show you other ways Venus girls keep idiots off their trail."She marched into the wood and turned before she disappeared,adding with a smug sneer."Trust me,boy.I've had lots of experiences with getting drooling boys off my tail."And with that,she left,head held high.


    Adrian's eyes widened.First at Leila's outburst then at the fact Luca was gone.He scrambled up."No time to wonder how many boys your girlfriend lured,Marcus."He said a little louder than usual."Luca is prone for doing crazy things when Kelli was around.Imagine how crazy without her to guide him.He's probably doing something crazy out of grief."


    Yay!


    Luca was about to say something to calm we down when she grabbed his hair. When he came to the same height as her he was sure she was going to spit in his face or worse. When she kissed him he was completly surprised. Kelli'd never kissed him like that before, ever. Luca found himself kissing her back without a second thought. When she pulled away he stood up straight again and held her close. "Would a bozo come all the way to the underworld for you?" He asked quietly "I'm sorry..."


    Astrid looked towards the forest "I was litterally just in there, I didn't see anyone..." She told Adrian with a worried look on her face "What kind of crazy are you thinking of?" She asked even more worried then before. Astrid had heard of what people did when someone close to them died. They left and wondered around, try stupid things, and sometimes even kill themselves .


    Marcus snarled back at her but found himself starting to frown. He mumbled some words to himself before watching her leave. He stayed quiet for some time before glaring back at Adrian "I wasn't thinking about it.. Shut up." He snaped at him before leaning against the tree.


    Elise finally had some ideas pop into her head "Does anyone know who his godly parent was?" She spoke up with a serious look on her face. She looked around at many blank faces. No one really got close to Luca other then Kelli, he kind of kept to himself.

    [color=black]Kelli sighed and wrapped arms around his neck with difficulty.Luca was a lot taller than her.She looked up at him with a cute smile."So,how are we getting home?"She laughed."If you even know how.I don't mind spending eternity in Elysium with you...but I do wanna see my brother."Her face became sad and downcast."So...I hope you know how to get back."


    Leila shoved through the bushes with an angry demeanor.How dare Marcus think little of her? He had no right! She hissed and grabbed a few mint leaves,bringing them to her nose.She scowled."I need vinegar."She headed toward the sound of bustling townsfolk with rage written all over her face.What she told Marcus was an absolute lie.She'd never dated anyone before him but her charming way was fooling enough.She could make it look like she'd dated every boy.


    Dakota chuckled and popped berries in his mouth."She told you,Marcus!"He laughed,playfulness retuning.He turned to Elise and his smile flattered."Hmm..."He thought for a moment and it hit him like a horse galloping full speed."You think he's a son of..."


    Adrian cut Dakota off,finishing his sentence."Pluto? Seriously? It can't be him.Pluto represents wealth more than death.So it would have to be Hades and we know Luca is Roman! Wasn't he born in Sicily?"He reasoned,getting serious.


    Luca wrapped his arms around her waist and grinned slightly down at her. "Shadow travel... It's going to take a lot of energy but I think I can do it." He told her and pulled away from her, walking over to Midas. Luca petted his head one last time "I promise I'll come back for you." He told the hellhound who licked his face again. He chuckled lightly and looked back at Kelli "Ready?"


    Marcus shot Dakota a glare. Marcus was the only one in the group who knew who Luca's godly parent was, and he wasn't telling. Pretty childish, but they were being mean to him so he wasn't budging. Marcus looked in the direction Leila disappeared to and felt a pang of guilt.


    Astrid shook her head "Sicily is both Greek and Roman domain. Persephone, the Greek goddess of Spring, was born there." She pointed out, crossing her arms and looking at Dakota, Adrian, and Elise.


    Elise nodded "Astrid's right. Luca could be Hades or Pluto's son, they're both possible." Elise agreed with her and looked up at the sky. The moon was already out, high in the sky

    [color=black]Kelli smiled and held onto him."Yep..."She looked at the hellhound and smiled."Bye doggie."She gave the dog a final rub and went back to holding onto Luca.She nuzzled his nose with her's."You're lucky I love you,Greek."She joked and held onto him tighter when they Shadow traveled.When she opened her eyes again,they stood in the middle of Adrian,Astrid,Dakota,and Marcus."W-Whoa!"She gasped,clinging.


    Dakota was about to suggest something else until they appeared and he screamed."AHHHHHHHH!!!!"He jumped back and took Astrid with him."Gods almighty! Luca...KELLI!?"He gasped,absolutely blown away."H-H-How'd you...what!?"


    Adrian squeaked when Dakota screamed and grabbed Elise,pulling her close."Oh gods! Guys! How'd you...get here? Kelli's dead body is right there!"He pointed to her cold body."And where did you go Luca!?"He asked,protecting Elise.


    Luca grinned and kissed her nose "I am pretty lucky." After he said that they shadow traveled. When he landed in between everyone he stumbled back a little. He looked a little scared about answering their questions. "Well.. Um." He started but never finished. He looked over at Kelli's dead body an murmmered some words in Greek an the body disappeared


    Marcus looked up to see what all the Commotion was about "K-kelli?" He had no emotions when he looked over at her. He ran towards her and gave her a big hug, not letting her go.


    Astrid widened her eyes as Luca and Kelli just randomly appeared "Shadow travel..." She whispered to no one in particular. "Is that really Kelli?" She looked at Luca confused and shocked


    Elise was about to say something else before they showed up. By they, she was talking about the dead girl and the lost boy. Ironic. She looked at Adrian who was already panicky before and now a little more "Hades..." She murmmered

    [color=black] Kelli yelped when Marcus hugged her and smiled,hugging him back.She hated how she was older but he was taller."I missed you."She kissed his cheek and pulled away,suddenly realizing everyone knew Luca was Greek."Leave him alone!"She hissed,pressing her back against Luca's chest."He can't...help...being a weirdo!"She fought for words."He's perfect just the way he is!"Her eyes burned with the rage that always got her in trouble.


    Dakota smiled at Kelli and how protective she got over Luca."Hey,we're not gonna stone him.Gosh."He shrugged,looking pretty chill.He shrugged."Man,you could've just told us you were a Greek."


    Leila stumbled from the bushes,grumbling.She had to flirt with the clerk to get the vinegar.She held a flask of vinegar and mint leaves between her teeth.She shook off a few brambles from her sandal and walked over.She gasped when she saw Luca and Kelli."MMMM!!!"She yelled,voice muffled.


    Adrian gulped and backed up."I...um...my parents didn't really like or trust Greeks.Not sure they're...safe."He whispered,going to stand beside Astrid because she was the same way.Being her brother and all they practiced the same beliefs."My dad says Greeks are not to be trusted.Dirty little liars that solemnly live for killing Romans."

    Luca raised his eyebrow "Excuse me?" He started gettig a little angry, glaring at Adrian. "Have I ever lied to you?" He growled. He didn't like being called a liar. In any minute, Luca could have a whole army of skeletons come up and take care of business.


    Astrid agreed with her brother "How do we know you're not lying right now." She returned a glare. No one was going to agree with them. It was obvious. But Adrian and her were ging to stick to their beliefs.


    Marcus felt more protected when Kelli hugged him back. When she pulled away he turned to see Leila. She wasn't going to talk to him for a while so he just looked away. He didn't really know if he hada problem with him being Greek. His dad hated them so should he?


    Elise looked Luca then Dakota "I don't have a problem with you being Greek..." She said quietly. Knowin no one would really care what she said, but at least she tried.

    [color=black]Kelli growled and turned to Luca,kissing his lips so he would focus on her rather than them."Shh...calm down,Luca."She could tell by the way he tensed and his jaw locked that he was getting angry."Calm down."She said gently,running fingers through his hair."Let them think what they wish.I love you either way."


    Dakota scowled."Hey,Astrid."He looked over at his girlfriend with disapproval."No need to become a jerk about it.Come back over here."He locked eyes with her and his frown deepened.


    Leila spat the leaves out into her palm."Who's Greek?"She walked over to Marcus and forced him to look at her.She chewed up some leaves and spat the paste onto her hand.She rubbed it on his cuts and took some vinegar from the flask,not wanting to talk.She was helping him and leaving him.


    Adrian gulped.His sister sounded so brave.But he sounded like an echo in the distance."Well um,it's just...the Legion only exists because of opposing countries...and Greece is part of the reason we're even out here.So it's not our fault you were born as a...rat."He whispered.

    Luca pushed Kelli away and looked over at the two siblings. "I'm no liar." He snarled at Astrid then looked at Adrian "A rat?" He scowled at him and shoved him roughly with a growl. No one was going to push him around for being Greek.


    Astrid's eyes lit up with fury when he shoved her brother "You filthy Greek!" She spat at him and shoved him back with no regretts. "Why don't you go back where you came from!" She sneered at him, hand drifting to her dagger


    Marcus let her take care of his cuts and felt even more guilty. He looked over at her with big blue eyes "I'm sorry..." He whispered and looked away, watching the fight. He really loved her but sometimes he just got angry and couldn't control it.


    Elise looked at Dakota with a look like Arent you going to do something? Sometimes she couldn't change Adrians decision in words so she just didn't even bother.

    "Luca!"Kelli grabbed his arm."Stop it!"She pulled with all her might but he was too muscular.He was like a boulder when Kelli pulled."Please! I just got back from being dead!!! I missed you so much...just please stay with me.You could be...American for all I care!"


    Dakota frowned and grabbed Astrid,holding her tight against his chest."STOP! من أجل حب الآلهة."(translation: By the love of the gods) He screamed,hugging Astrid tight against him,glaring in all sorts of directions.He looked around like a wild animal."You all are CRAZY!"He didn't realize he spoke Arabic just now."God..."(I decided not to make him Roman...but to make him EGYPTIAN!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA...he came here from Egypt and simply learned Latin)


    Leila looked over at Dakota with eyes wide.She was gonna forgive Marcus and walk away but she was frozen with hands on his face."What...did you just say? You spoke way to fast...and way too not...Roman...or Greek."


    Adrian scrambled over to Elise,heart pounding and eyes wide,tears streaking his face.He sniffled and wiped them away with his arm.He looked over at Dakota,wanting to faint."E-Egyptian..."He murmured,fainting.All this excitement was too much for his brain.

    Luca looked back at Kelli with a slight frown before perking up when Dakota spoke. He looked at Adrian then back at Dakota "Really?..." His voice was very quiet when he pulled Kelli close to him. Egyptians were a threat before the Romans, but he actually forgot about then for a bit.


    Astrid looked up at him with wide eyes "You're- What? How-" she tried making full sentences but failed. Just like her brother, Astrid's brain couldn't register a lot of things at once. And that was a lot. She turned around to see her brother faint and started panicking silently, waaaay too much.


    Marcus mumbled words to himself. Greeks and Egyptians? And they didn't notice? That's literally insane. Well if they didn't notice it shouldn't be a problem, right? "How did you get here?" He blurted out, moving her hand from his face but holding it in his hands.


    Elise had her jaw wide open, looking at Dakota speechless. Then Elise heard a thump. "Adrian!" She exclaimed and picked him up and tried getting him to get him awake again. She shook his shoulders back and forth, not too violently.

    [color=black]Kelli sighed and shook her head.Back to being alive and listening to everyone bicker.Same 'ol same 'ol."Guys! Stop talking and listen! Maybe Dakota has a reason also? Same as Luca!"She was back to defending her boyfriend.


    Dakota's throat formed a huge lump and he struggled to swallow."W-Well...uh...um."He twiddled his thumbs."Okay,don't stone me immediately,alright? My mother,Chione,moved here to Italy when I was a child.I was only like....four.I didn't talk until Latin was fluent for me."He admitted."I met Astrid when I was six and created a reputation for being a Roman my whole life."He whispered.


    Leila squeezed Marcus's hand.Dakota was...Egyptian? No way."How long were you gonna hide this from us,Kota?"She asked,scowling."What's up with everyone!? Anyone else have some secrets they'd appreciate to share with us all? I trusted all f you but I'm growing more weary."


    Adrian lay sprawled and unmoving.He could hear everything but ceased to talk or simply move his eyes.He listened as everyone started questioning each other,glad he could stay quiet.It was too much

    Luca looked at Dakota surprisingly calm and nodded. He could definitely relate. The whole moving to another country and learning their language wasn't too foreign to him. "What about your dad?" The words spilled out before he closed his mouth. No demigod liked talking about the parent that abandoned them, that was a fact. But maybe Dakota wasn't a demigod. Anything is possible.


    Astrid looked like she was about to throw up. That probably the reason why Dakota never talked about his past, to hide it. She wanted to say something but bit her lip and stayed quiet, also trying to make sure she didn't puke. It must've been hard trying to fit in, but then again she did become friends with him. Astrid still found herself close to him.


    Marcus nodded and looked at Leila "I'm feeling the same way..." He said quieter then squally and looked at Luca and Dakota cautiously. He looked around to see if anyone spoke up. So far, no one.


    He's probably okay Elise thought and sat down next to Adrian, looking up at Dakota "And you're mom?" She added to Luca's question. Everyone seemed either mad or hopeless. Elise personally didn't find it that big of a deal. SHe didn't have a secret but why judge?



    Kelli wasn't judgmental either.Astrid and Adrian just had different beliefs.She tilted her head at Dakota."And how long were you in Egypt?"She asked,smiling.She looked over at Astrid and frowned.She was probably gonna puke all over Dakota in a few seconds so she took a few steps back,holding Luca's hand.She cared and all but all she wanted to do was sit down and make out like Luca use to tease her about,but she was more respectful than to leave.


    "Oh...my....father."Dakota faked a calm,charming smile,but underneath he was boiling with hatred."Anubis...god of the dead,but not like Hades.He's associated with Thanatos.He's the real god of death.Not underworld god of death.As in I can wave my hand and you'd all be dead.Your souls mine."He looked at the ground."And my mother...was an attention hound.She wanted Anubis to be with her so she pulled all these stupid stunts.Getting drunk and stuff like that.She moved here after awhile so maybe he'd notice she was missing from our home in Egypt.But once he didn't come back....my mother hung herself."He sniffled and wiped his eyes with his arm."And I was in Egypt for...four or five years."


    Leila's eyes widened and she scrambled behind Marcus."D-Dead?"She squeaked in his ear,gripping onto him.She felt bad for Dakota but she didn't see him as the funny,upbeat,excited one anymore.She saw an outsider...a little boy who just couldn't fit in.He looked cute and sad with his bottom lip trembling and eyes watery, but she had no sympathy.None.

    Luca held her hand tightly while listening to Dakota. He didn't know if he was supposed to tell his story after but he decided not to, Dakota obviously needed a moment. He never really knew anything about Dakota, but now he had a new respect for the guy. "Hey, you got us now... No need to tread in the pas-" he started before Astrid hugged him tightly. He looked over at Kelli and grinned coldly "Let's get some sleep." He said quietly.


    Astrid couldn't take it anymore. She'd never seen that side of Dakota before. Before Luca could finish his little speech, she hugged Dakota tightly. Hiding her face in his toga. "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked, but it was muffled. His whole life was pretty hard, but he covered it up. She wrapped her arms around his neck, not wanting to let him go.


    Marcus gulped at Dakota's life. Now that he thought about it, he was kinda spoiled. There was always food, always drinks, and always someone there for him when he needed them. He looked at Leila and sighed, that was a pretty stupid move. He looked over at Dakota "I'm sorry man." He then looked at Leila again and frowned "And I'm also sorry again."


    Kelli nodded up at him and walked away with Luca, to a far off tree.She was exhausted,feeling drained of all energy.When Luca started to lay down she decided to pull one more annoying trick before she went to sleep."Ah!"She suddenly gasped,making it sound fake so Luca wouldn't think she was serious."Knees...weak.Gravity...increasing...on me!"She let out a loud,low moan of fake agony."Same thing...happened...last week! Luca,baby,catch me!"She wailed and grinned,falling on him.


    Dakota was shocked.He started to thank Luca until Astrid grabbed him and squeezed the life out of him."Don't blame yourself,Astrid.I didn't tell because I didn't want word getting 'round.It wasn't you.I wish I could've told you sooner."He wrapped arms around her waist and smiled at her mop of blonde hair that was burying itself in his toga.


    Leila smiled at him."It...It's fine,Marcus.I didn't mean to snap."She gave him a quick hug and looked up at him."By the way?"She dusted off his toga."I've never had a boyfriend before.Much less lost one.So don't worry about me going around with a whole bunch of boys.Promise."She kissed his chin and sat in the grass,sprawling out."Come on.I need someone to sleep with me."


    Luca stifled a laugh and caught her "You're hilarious." He told her sarcastically. He looked at her with a small grin and wiped some dirt from her cheek. "Hey, I know what you were thinking over there. You totally wanted to make out with me." He smirked down at her "Which I'm fine with doing. It's been a lot day and I need something that'll make me sleep well." He joked while wiggling his eyebrows at her.


    Astrid looked up at him "I wouldn't have told anyone." He was at least a little happier now. "I could've helped you out. No one should've gone through that alone." She shook her head with a slight frown "But it also was pretty brave." She added, sounding impressed. He couldn't have gone throught what he went though, much less alone. She ran her fingers through his hair without making a sound.


    Marcus grinned at her "I doubted it every second." He joked with her and laid down next to her. He tuned to look at her "But just know, if any boy just looks at you, I'll beat the crap out of them." He smirked at her before giving her a light kiss on her nose. He laid back down on his back and put his arm around her and pulled her close. He close his blue eyes but stayed awake for a little longer, listening to the crickets chirp deeper in the forest.

Leave me alone."She looked up at him and laughed,smiling.Her face brightened and she wiggled her eyebrows right back.He was so tall,muscular,and hot.Her face became thoughtful as she pictured him without his toga covering his stomach.She got a dreamy look on her face as she sighed,loosing herself in the thought."Mmmm..."She whispered,not paying attention to him anymore."Do you have abs,Luca? If you do can I touch them?"She asked,not really...there.


    Dakota tried not to cry anymore.He cradled her."Let's get some sleep,okay? Like Luca said.You guys are my family now.Except for you."He said quickly,scooping her up in his arms."You're my love."He kissed her cheek and grinned lightly,chuckling as he walked away from Marcus and Lelia,settling down with her away from the others.


    Leila smiled and rolled her eyes."Sure,Marc.I'll believe that when my mother leaves Mars.Which is never."She yawned and pressed against him,falling asleep almost immediately.Her breathing was soft and her breath ghosted against his neck.She slept soundly.
