Different...

Rex made a signal with his hand. He looked at a device on his wrist. He then looked up,peering over the treetops. He smiled."Right there." He pointed straight. The sky was dark around an area. Some beast-like echos were heard faintly.

Zypheria was fuming her veins were solid black,her eyes glowing blue. Darkness decayed any life that was left around her. She grabbed burnt tents and wood,throwing them into others. She collapsed on her knees,her hands balling into fists. Her sharp nails dug into her palms, black blood dripping from them. She stared at the ground,visibly breathing heavily but making no sound.

Rex set off at a very quick pace. The signaled fro the group to split into three to surround,but made sure to tell them to be extra 'careful'. He had fire in his eyes and a smile on his face.

Rex realized the girl was at the Novo camp he ravaged. He was a little confused,but glad that she didn't go far. As they walked he felt the air get colder and it was noticeably darker. He started to feel the effects of the darkness the closer he got and he noticed some of his men did to. Eyes got wider,hairs raised, and breath shortened. It was fear.

Zyphera was on her knees in the middle of the charred earth. It was nearly pitch black around her,but her glowing blue eyes shone. She had a fistful of black earth,she was crumbling it in her hand.

Rex dared not use his walkie talkie. He knew the girl cold hear. He put a finger to his lips and looked at all his groups in the distance. He pointed forward,him and his men started creeping forward slowly,weapons raised.

Zypheria was too enveloped in rage. The tension in the air was visible,the darkness spreading. Soon,it would be visible to all. Her body shifted between Darkrai and human.

Rex moved closer until him and his men were just on the outside of the charred camp. ll their weapons raised. The forest seemed silent,too silent so when one man loaded...

Zypheria heard a soft *click* and that was it. In a single blink she turned fully into a Darkrai. The darkness around her seemed to go into her,then expanded out with a loud boom. It was a shockwave. She let out a strangled roar as she did it,the sound piercing.

Rex was unprepared for the shock wave. He stumbled back,fear washing over him .He gritted his teeth and shook his head.'Its not real. Its not real." Some of the newer or weaker willed men began to break down,curling up. He yelled over the whimpering."Open fire!" She raised his weapon again and began to shoot. They weren't bullets(he didn't want to kill her...yet) but they packed punch.

Zypheria instantly became a shadow,the dart-looking projectiles passing through her. She hissed,sending out a dark pulse to a group of mean and Nightmare to another group.

Rex signaled a man that was holding a large weapons. There was a short buzzing as it fired at Zypheria.

Zypheria growled as something actually hit her. Her shadow flickered until she was solid again. She quickly dodged a lot more projectiles but there were too many. She got him. She let out a grunt and she was hit again and again. at first she was enveloped in rage, firing darkness all around her. She started to slow, her eyes searching wildly for Rex. Then she spotted him. She charged full force at him,hitting him with a thump, but she wasn't done yet. She continued forward with him, dragging him further way. She blocked out the mens yells behind her.
