"No, I'm just some completely unrelated species that happens to be offended by a remark pertaining to a dragon. What do you think?" The covers shifted slightly as the figure rolled over. Twilight let out a sigh. "That... would be Spike," she confirmed. "A friend of mine and personal assistant." "Spike's the name, 'sistin's the game, now could I please get back to sleep?"

She giggled a bit, Looking at Mark. That sentence was so over used by people who tried to be cool. "A personal assistant? Impressive, think I could borrow him sometime?" She said in a playful manor.
-
Twilight didn't seem amused by the request. "Considering you're both technically nonexistent beings from a dimension I've never heard of, not to mention I just met you... No."
-
She snapped her fingers, "Darn. Just have to hate being non exsistant in another dimension." She broke down into laughter at this, the idea was just so crazy to her that it was funny how she could accept it so quickly.
-
"Waitwaitwait... If we 'technically don't exist', how is any of this even possible? Shouldn't there be a hole in space-time or something?" Mark looked scared suddenly as he ran through the various laws of matter displacement in his head. "Well, yes and no. Dimensions are a weird thing, and part of the logic behind them is that no matter where they are in relation to each other, each one is still a separate plane of existence. Thus, they are infinite and cannot contain holes. When you left your world, other matter just fell into place where you left off. It's like... air. When you walk into another room, there isn't just a void of nothingness where you came from- Air floated in to fill up the space."
{Oh how I love pseudo-science.}
-
"Alright but that doesn't necessarily mean that what filled our place wont be disastrous. If you walk out of a room wearing perfume that Perfume fills where you were just standing, so what if where we came form whatever comes might not be good? Also wouldn't it be pulling something out of another dimension to fill up that space? And if so then should a circle of never ending sucking be put into place until everything was put in its proper place? Like a circle of never ending movement to fill up the gap we made..."
(....I just read what I typed and I think I over complicated it alot...)
-
"Actually... No. Not everything that involves extradimensional travel ends in some black-hole disaster. When you went through to our world, some air from behind you came in to fill the space. Sure, if you were in a structure, it probably collapsed from the force of said air, but we can worry about that some other time." "Well, there goes home base," Mark muttered.
-
She sighed in relief, she had never actually giving dimension hopping much thought. Funny how it was her biggest concern now, "Well now that thats out of the way I guess I should start studying your cutler.''
-
Twilight narrowed her eyes. "My whatnow? Is that some form of slang, or..?"
-
Coulter*)
"No, Its how your society thinks and does. Like in Japan they have Manga and speak another language. But in America we speak English and have picture books. What makes each place different is there heritage and coulter."
-
"Oh, I get it. I suppose it makes sense, considering you'll have to live here now. So-" Twilight clapped her front hooves together once, falling back to sit on her haunches. "What is it you'd like to know?"
-
"Well what is it like? I mean everyone here doesn't seem to be too horribly mean. Is it like that everywhere? Or is it just because we are guests? And can you teach me how to read your language? I am kind of a book worm and well I have a feeling I am going to be having a lot of reading time.
-
"I'm not sure how it was in your world, but here, almost everypony values the harmony that comes alongside peace and friendship. Because of how fragile this harmony is, very few have had the reason, let alone the means, to disrupt it. It's in our nature, really, to be accepting to others, even if they've wronged us in the past. The bonds we've built here, some of which were with past enemies, have saved entire kingdoms. And as for the language, we can enroll you in a school if you'd like. The literary side of our language will most likely be similar to the literary side of yours, seeing as the verbal half is near identical."
-
She paused, "Our world is like that, in it is the exact opposite. We arnt born hating others but we don't learn to either. We are naturally chaotic and well very very few could ever keep peace and harmony. It is rare to see people who hate each other forgive and put it in the past. Its always hold grudges over what someone did years ago or pick on her because she is not perfect," Dawn stopped when she realized she was ranting.
-
"Dawn. Dawn. Dawn!" Mark attempted several times to cut her off before she finally stopped. "Anyway, humans are a lot more... prone to anger than you are. We tend not to forgive nearly as easily. Human nature, we call it."
Twilight raised a brow, but didn't question the sudden rant. "I see... Well, ponies aren't perfect either, We can keep quite a grudge if we really want to." She cut herself off with an almost random yawn, and she almost punched herself with how quickly she put a hoof to her face. "I suppose it is getting a bit late..."
-
Dawn winced, she hadn't noticed Mark. "Yeah so our bedrooms are just up the stairs?" She said trying to get out of the awkward silence that now seemed to fill the air, or was it just her who was tense?
-
"Just upstairs," the Alicorn confirmed with a nod. "Also, I apologize ahead of time if some ponies find it difficult to adjust to your presence... Even for us, it's a bit weird seeing something like this."
-
She smiled, "I honestly cant think of how anyone would react differently," She said as she headed up stairs. She sat on her bed and looked out the window, "Well tomorrow I get to meet new people and find out stuff. Well this shall be.....Interesting." She looked at her phone and texted her mother Night mom I will be home soon. She felt a tear slide down her cheek as she silently added, I hope.
-
On the second floor was what looked like a makeshift study, with a desk against the wall and an abundance of storage crates crowding the room. A few bunk beds were also there, however, offering a place to sleep. "Well, at least it's not the floor," Mark said once he caught sight of the condition the room was in.
-
Dawn fell asleep relatively easy. She woke up the next morning with the sun in her eyes as she flipped around in her bed, now facing the wall instead of the window.
