Everyone in the room was exchanging nervous glances- Minus Mark, of course, who sat down against the wall to prevent himself from falling -but none of them looked close to any sort of solution. "Listen... I-I know you might be kind of scared by what the future holds, but think of this way- It's possible. We know that much. A portal can be made, as long as the timing is right. So I think I know the solution. We have a number of powerful unicorns here, so if we make another portal, we can try to sustain it long enough for someone else on the other side to create another... Does that make you feel better?" By now, the purple Alicorn was close enough to hold out a hoof- Presumably to shake.

Star took a breath, get ahold of your self! your humiliating! She calmed down, pushing her emotions aside for now. "Sorry, but the chances of something like that sound very slim. So we may be here awhile, is there anywhere we can rest for awhile? And also I would like something to eat if that is alright."
-
The leader seemed to be a bit amused by that, as she gave a slight chuckle. "Of course, but before you settle in, I encourage you to join me and my sister on the upper balcony. Once there, you can see firsthand the magic that runs through here. Come." With that, she turned, making her way to a set of large doors at the opposite end of the hall, several of the guards moving to join her.
-
Star hesitated, then grabbed Mark. "I cant go alone, come with me please?" She batted her eyes all cute like she does whenever she wanted something big. "We need to stick together, I don't want to be alone in this...What ever it is."
-
"Not like I have anywhere else to go," he replied absently. Even for him, it was strange to see talking horses that considered magic normal. "This is so weird, isn't it? I mean, it's one thing magic being real, but it's obviously, like, a big thing here if it's ingrained in their culture like this. That, and horses being the dominant species."
-
"Makes me wonder what happened to the humans..... I wonder if humans ever lived on this planet, i don't think so though, I mean it make sense that they would adapt to some form of energy to make a civilization..." She said as she followed after where she had seen the white pega-Alicorn enter.
-
The remaining guards flanked them as they walked through the large doors. Strangely, they connected to a large balcony overlooking a cliff, of all things. After another moment to adjust to the light, it was possible to see the white Alicorn standing near the marble railings. Her head was turned to the side, allowing her to see yet a third of her kind flying over from another tower. Unlike the first, its mane was a navy blue, and its mane was similar to a mirror image of the night sky, stars and all. "Sister," she asked once she had landed, "Did I... miss something?" "Indeed you have, Luna. Twilight managed to perfect her interdimensional travel spell and confirm her theory. However, it seems we have... inconvenienced these two individuals in the process. Speaking of which, we have yet to have a proper introduction! Must have slipped my mind during the tension. Regardless, I am known here as Princess Celestia. You are..?"
-
She paused, could she give these people her real name? "My name is.....D.S." She said taking her first and middle name Dawn Star Lavese was just so crappy. ''Woah woah woah wait...Your a princess?'' She said as her eyes widened. She was now really glad that she hadnt punched that pony when she had really wanted to.
-
"Princess, co-ruler, royal sister, immortal goddess, etcetera." The purple character from before listed off her various titles.
-
Dawns mouth dropped open the more titles that got listed of. "Wow."
-
Celestia gave another short chuckle. "Yes, plenty can happen in a few thousand years... Ponies have begun to run out of adjectives, really. I'm hoping they have enough left for dear Twilight." The purple Alicorn, supposedly named Twilight, gave a smile while making a cartoonish noise that could only be described as a 'squee'.
-
Dawn ignored the little squee, "Alright but there are no such thing as goddesses. And if you are a queen then why are there 3 of you? Unless its a diplomatic queen ship..."
-
OOC: Because there's always room for atheism. Always.
IC: "You see, we are not all rulers of the same thing. Though we all reside over Equestria itself, none of us have total power. I, for instance, hold power over the time of day, while my sister commands the night. Twilight, on the other hoof, still does not have anything of such magnitude assigned to her, as she still has much to learn and master before her ascension is complete."
-
"How do you control the day or night? Its impossible, The earth rotates on an axis around the sun, not the other way around. How advanced are you people exactly?" Dawn said/asked skeptically. They really thought they could rise and lower the sun and moon? It was an insane impossible notion.
ooc: Well someone must be the skeptic XD
-
"And thus why mine sister brought thou to the balcony, we presume?" Celestia nodded in response. "Very well. 'Tis that time of cycle, after all. Sister, if you would?" With that, Celestia brought herself to the edge of the belcony and spread her wings. After a few moments of concentration, the horn atop her head began to glow a bright golden color-
And then the sun began moving.
In response to Celestia's command, the sun was, indeed, moving downward toward the horizon, its light slowly being blocked out by the mountains it retreated behind. At the same time, Luna's horn began to glow as well, a faint blue radiating from the strange appendage. As the sun dipped halfway below the horizon, the moon miraculously appeared beside it, rising on a parallel course.
"No such thing as magic, hmm?" Twilight couldn't help but remark, shooting a smirk in Diess' direction.
-
Dawn rolled her eyes, "Complete coincidence! I could use a flash light and make it look like I am lowering the sun too!"
-
Suddenly, a faint pink aura appeared around her hand, forcing it up to slap her face. A look to the side revealed that Twilight's horn was glowing the same color. "Think that was a coincidence? I understand that this all seems a bit strange to you, but at least try to accept it. We all know you're going to be here long enough that just pushing the world away will do nothing but hurt you. I had to learn that the hard way."
-
She glared at twilight. "I never said magic wasn't real. If it wernt, we wouldn't be here. I am saying I just find it hard to believe that some one has magic enough to raise the moon! Sorry if I offended you but I am entitled to my own opinion! Now may I go to where ever I am supposed to sleep tonight? Or must I stay and watch some more?'' She said it in a respectfully I am going to kill you voice. It was....Odd.
-
Twilight let out a sigh. "I'll take you to the guest wing," she replied. The Alicorn signaled to two of the guards, both of which moved to flank them on their exit.
-
She followed quietly, dragging Mark behind her, not realizing she had never let go of his hand. She relaxed some what, but was too prideful to apologize. She took a second to gaze around the magnificent palace. "Its beautiful!" She whispered.
