IC~ Kashnea was still racing Smoke, his heartbeat pounding in his ears. You know what? He began to think. I haven't ran this fast, since.. he slowed down to a trot. "Since my own Clan," He murmured. Suddenly Juniper ran beside him, he was running again. She looked annoyed. "What'd you do that for?" She asked him. Kashnea whinnied a reply, almost sadly, "S'nothing. C'mon, then!" Then, for the last time, they raced faster and faster and strained to keep up.
Juni loved racing. It's in your blood, her mother always said. "So it is," She whinnied to herself. Over the noise of their hooves, she could hear Kashnea yelp, "Juni!" So they came to a hard stop on the grass and, curiously, they noticed Giano, Paint, Flame, and Blood go towards a human stable carefully and quietly. Giano unlocked the gate door and one by one, the four entered. Kashnea snorted with disbelief and anger. "Nobody's going to be going near those humans on my watch!" He had whinnied loudly. Then, in a softer tone, he quietly added, "Juni, can you call me Kas now?" Juniper nodded, confused, but excited at the thought of going near some humans. All kinds of thoughts were running through her head: What would they be like? Would they have flat faces, like the rumors.. I should ask Giano. It would be dangerous, too- but not with him by my side.
She was talking about Kas.
