Your character can be whatever you want (Trainer, coordinator, breeder, etc.)

No, sorry. But it can be in your main party. Or, you could get your starter and decide to use mareep as your starter instead.

A pikachu? No, it's got to be on of the original starters. But...

When you get the starter you can catch a pikachu and make it your starter.
