  • Daisy Lilly was the new girl in this small town. She's from the big apple and her parents forced her to move with them down south in Alabama. There are about 4 thousand people in this same old style town and about 4 hundred kids in her new high school. In her old school there was more then that on her grade only. Now school is out and it's summer vacation when she moved to this little town. She wasn't too sweet girl, she wa back at her old home because she wasn't forced to be here.

This town wasn't as high class as New York. There were old computers and phones same with cell phones. And everyone either talked on the phone or walked over texting wasn't needed. The most fun they had was riding horses and swimming in the creek all hick stuff.

Daisy sat on her front porch steps. Looking out into the dirt road. She would be a senior when school started again. Though she wasn't looking forward to school. She was about 5'2 and was about 109 pounds. She was a small girl but ate like a pig never gaining weight and normally was a fun girl. She just didn't want to move from her old home. Her parents never home, she sat in the front wondering what she could do on this hot June afternoon. Her friends tried cheering her up about saying there are hot country boys and cowboys there but she had a boyfriend when she left they dated since freshman year but they broke up because of the move. She sent emails to her friends but they've yet to answer. This town didn't believe in internet, really. They were the type of town that had a hand full of shopping stores a few restaurants and go to church on Sunday and watch football all Saturday. She sighed bored as every, she hasn't met any of her neighbors yet nor seem them but a few younger kids riding there bikes and playing.

Tucker walked off towards his stables with a smile, plucking a blade of yellow grass to chew on as he swung open the doors. He loved his simple, country life - wouldn't trade it for the world. Tucker let out his brown stallion, the feisty one, and quickly saddled him up, riding him out of the barn and onto the dirt road towards town. He needed to grab a treat for his little sister, just because. Well, not just because... Her birthday had been yesterday... And only Tucker seemed to remember he forgot a present. His parents were too busy working in their fields to recall their mistake, but Tucker had slapped himself for forgetting. This was his sister; the little cutie he'd rocked to sleep almost every night when she was just a tot. And here he'd been, forgetting her sixth birthday!

Tucker passed the closest house to him, spotting one of his old class mates. "Howdy there!" He grinned.

  • Se looked up hearin something come down the road and when she looked up she rolled her eyes a guy on horse back of course. She looked away hating this town so much. When he hear his voice her eyes went over to him, wondering who he was talking too defentitly not here she didn't know anyone here and all the neighbors came by yesterday to say hello, with all that pie she really didn't like. So she wondered who he was.

  • When getting no response, Tucker waved a bit, steering towards her. Being the stubborn guy he was, Tucker wasn't about to be ignored. "Are y'all settlin' in well enough?" He asked, still rather far away from the girl. That's Daisy, ain't it? He thought to himself, Yes, my folks brought her that lemon meringue pie... Not that she didn't get hundreds of those... His bright smile changed to a smirk of amusement; she was that big-city girl, from the Big Apple. Oh yes, Tucker would definitely have some fun with this girl.

  • She looked over at him,"what?" She asked her tone almost bitter as she stood up. Moving her hair out of her face and sighed annoyed with all this heat and dirt. She wipped off the dust on her short shorts and looked over at him,oh lovely, hottie here thinks he can just come over all cowboy like and try saying hi, and act like this is Miami or something, she thought annoyed though she did like his horse and wanted to pet it.

  • She looked annoyed, and sounded quite bitter. Tucker held in laughter. "I asked if y'all were settlin' in well." He replied, answering her question. Golly, I wonder what's wrong with her. Probably missing the polluted cloud that's York. Heh. His stallion trotted a bit closer, now Tucker was off the road and in the girl's driveway. "You kinda went from a big city to something close to population zero."

  • She nodded" I guess I'm not really liking it here," she said with a sigh looking up at him. She walked over looking at his horse,as much as I rather not talk to what I'm guessing is the town hottest guy, I do like his horse, she thought loving animals though never had any pets other than a fish. "The airs really thin here," she said looking up t the aky

  • Tucker dismounted, keeping a tight grip on the reigns. "Well I thought as much." He shrugged. "It's probably the elevation... You'll get used to it." Tucker felt a bit awkward here; this girl didn't seem to sociable. "So... I have this sister, and I need to get her a present for her sixth birthday... You're a girl, obviously. Do you have any idea what she might like?"

  • She shrugged thinking it over,"well if I was six I'd want an iPhone 5s, and a new prada bag," she said though she didn't know if these girls like that stuff. "Maybe even new Mac laptop," she said though he wasn't even ire if this town sold that stuff ere

  • Tucker's eyes just widened. "... I don't exactly have that kind of money..." He laughed nervously, scratching his neck. "You think a Barbie would be fine? And a nice card with a couple bucks?" In truth, money wasn't Tucker's only problem with those suggestions. His baby sister was not about to have all that useless junk to plug into. She needed wholesome activities she could look back on with a silly smile. Maybe she ends up putting that Barbie on the barbecue for a tan and melts the poor thing... Or... Tucker shook the thoughts away with a sheepish smile.

Shucks, them city girls are way more plugged in than I thought.

"Why don't you just come with me? It's better than sitting all alone anyways." He suggested, though he wasn't so sure about the idea himself. This girl could be pleasant or shallow, and Tucker was bad with guesses.

  • She looked at him, well of course there wasn't much money ere. Her family was one of the wealthiest one here now. she thought though felt bad the little girl couldn't have that stuff everyone in New York had one. She looked up at him surprised by the offer. "Umm..." She said unsure looking back at her boring house. She sighe thinking he was right,"okay..." She said reluctantly.

  • Tucker offered a hand to help Daisy up onto his stallion. "I'm Tucker, by the way, and this is Willie." He smiled, introducing himself and the horse. Trying not to let her reluctant tone deter him, he let his thoughts wander a bit. "Do you even try to like it here?" He asked bluntly.

  • "Daisy, Daisy Lilly," she said petting the horse with a very small smile. When he helped her onto te horse she was surprised how big the horse was and couldn't believe she was on it. Her friends back at home wouldn't believe this at all. "There's nothing to like ," she said with a shrug though the small smile was still on her lips.

  • "Then why are you smiling, Miss Lilly?" Tucker smiled back. Rather than get on in front of Daisy, though, Tucker lead the horse by its reigns down the dirt road. "Ain't the quiet a nice change? Or maybe the star-speckled sky is more to your liking." He drawled.

  • She was surprised he didn't come up too most guys would do anything to cup a feel even at stupid time. Well she didn't know any gentleman either. She frown at his comment though it was forced. "No, I liked the noise I liked how people yelled at each other and honked and people talking on the phone and men trying to sell things. It was all so alive," she said with a sigh..."though the stars are a pretty change I wouldn't mind going back though," she said holding into the saddle never been on a horse so she was kind of scared, though she used on hand to pet the horses neck.

  • "Alive." Tucker chuckled, shaking his head a bit. "I suppose that's one way to describe it." He noticed her nervousness, and decided to direct her. "All 'ya have to do is grip with your legs. And make sure you hold onto the saddle's horn." He smiled softly, the little shopping center coming into view. It consisted of Wal-Mart, a grocery store, and a gas station. "I guess one thing I might like about the cities is that they have a few more options."

  • She gripped her legs on the horse and held tight on the horn. "That's true, there not much here huh?" She aske with a look around. "What do you even do around here?" She also asked him curiously wondering what he did.

  • "Well.." Tucker tried to hide his flushed face. His... Redneck activities... Were sure to be frowned upon. Why he cared, he wasn't entirely sure. "Sometimes we go fly-fishin' or horseback riding.. But in the hot summer some o' my friends and I like to head down to a river and swim around. We even built a rope swing for kicks a last year."

  • She nodded,"oh well that seems somewhat life fun other than fishing, fish gross me out unless it's rolled up in some rice and paper I won't eat it," she said talking about sushi. "A river...they still have those things," he said teasingly acting like a girl who thought there were no river since she lived in the big city away from any water. A small smile appeared on her lips again.

  • "Oh geez." Tucker laughed. "What do they do to you? Lock you in computer labs all day?" He teased, walking up to Wal-Mart's bike rack to tie up Willie. "You need any help getting down?" This girl was nice. So Tucker offered another smile.
