  • Wonderful ^.^ we can begin whenever you'd like. Right now i'm about to pass out so...i'll either start us off tomorrow or reply if you'd like to start off.

  • Eyes scolding the dogs across the street, Madara sat in pure frustration. They were so lucky, pampered like fairies and treated as if they were human. Yet he was only 20 yards across the snow sheeted road and he slept in a plywood shack with 3 other muts. If only his owner wasn't so devisive and stubborn. If a person didn't like his prices he told them to take a hike, in rather harsh words, lacking any will to come to a better price. So all he ate was the bare minimum, and sometimes he'd not eat at all. Yes, maybe his ways of living were unsannitary, but they had no idea. The way they looked doen on him and the rest of his group, my could they lick the scum between his toes. The only thing stopping him from causing havoc over there was the flimsy metal gateblocking him off.

The reason for his anger, was yesterday he had found paw tracks while on the run to check on traps his owner had set. Almost on the same path was their foot prints, and little did he know they had set much better and advanced traps just a few feet beyond their own. It was as if they stole the the prey of that area right under their noses, and yet their was no law prohibiting the placement of traps, whether close to others or not. The massive alaskan malamute was furious because of this, seeing how inconsiderate some people were. But being this way, having so much anger contained, only gave them a better reason to call him a dirt bag. He failed to realize that.

  • new that the dogs across the street had it rough, but she never felt bad. There were humans out there, good, honest humans, who had even less than the dogs across the street and were dying because of it. The female let out a soft whine at the sight of her master getting ready to go out; it was time to check the traps. She had no idea if he realized that there were other teams where they got their game, but she could recognize one of the scents as the dogs across the street. Within a few moments, Tukuna and the rest of the small pack, five dogs, were hooked up and ready to go out and check the game traps. The run wasn’t very long at all, and Takuna wasn’t out of breath as they came to their first trap until…. There wasn’t any game there. The rest of the traps were empty as well, but there was a heavy smell of blood in the area leading to a different trap. They weren’t the property of her owner. It must have been the other dogs…

They returned to the home there, and Takuna looked over her shoulder to see Madara. A low growl rang in her throat as she stared at the skinny male before feeling a comforting hand on her head, “Takuna…” The man murmured, crouching down and gently scratching her ears. The female whined faintly, “You don’t understand….” She barked out, knowing that her words were wasted due to the language barrier, “You don’t understand at all….” A smile crossed the man’s face and he undid the harnesses, putting each dog in their kennel and giving them their meal. Takuna whimpered a few more times before finally giving into the hunger she gained from the run. The dogs across the street were still there, and most of them were watching with starving eyes. It was painful to see it then, she must say, and she moved away from her food and retreated to her little dog house to get away from the eyes.

  • Largely jealous of their proportiin of food, Madara sat in even more frustration than before. Especially when he noticed the expression of the females face. The lead member. Takuna. He growled in return. The skinny dog, large in stature yet bare to the bone, growl rattling his bones, refused to accept this blasphomy. He wanted to be normal, and average so to say. He didn't care if it was lame, it was better than the stuff he had now.

At 6 oclock the bell rang signifying it was going to be dark soon. This is was the worst time. Tue cold became colder, and the snow fell harder, and the weak shacks sheltering the sled dog team had no type of insulation whatsoever. So he'd bundle up with his partners, normally with his sister Ava. She was smaller, a white alaskan malamute with two significantly seperate colored eyes. One completely blue, the other gold. Very intriguing, however her beaury went to waste, being she was skinny and lined with a dirty pelt. And the only thing protecting her from being violated by the other males was her brother Madara, which she was so delicately close to. If she was aparr from him fir to long, her heart would shatter and she'd mentally he unstable for the time givenhe was gone. Thats why at almost all times he was with and comforting her.

  • Ooc:
How are they going to interact with one another?

    Ic:
Takuna watched the dogs across the street still, light brown eyes taking in their every movement and studying Ava. The female felt very bad for the other. She would have been beautiful if not for the abandonment she received by everyone but Madra. Honestly, it was horrid to see dogs suffer, but Takuna couldn’t do anything to help. The female shifted in her house and sighed, closing her eyes. It was so cold out, even with the hay….

She could hear the wind blowing hard, much harder than normal, and jumped at the sound of crashing metal. Was it the gate blocking the dogs across the street? Her head poked out of the little home she had, instantly blasted by a furry of snow and icy wind as she squinted out, “Is everyone okay?” The dogs in her pack yipped out yes’s and she focused on the shack over the road, wondering if they’d even reply.

The town is very simple. Lets say owners can bring dogs anywhere, markets. And I'll get the plot started soon. Where the evil business dude comes and pretty much...runs people out of business. That's when our characters will really begin interacting. For now they're just stuck in their pens.

    Ic:
Replying to the leader of their rivals? There was no doubt, nobody would reply. However their own leader proposed the same question, which only a few of their members replied. Madara and Ava being one. However, it really didn't matter because even if their was a distress call nobody would jump to any rescue. Carefully watching the fae from across the road, Madara sized up his opponent. She seemed so innocent in appearance, how decieving. She was better than himself in every way, always beating him to the best places. Outrunning him and lasting longer. She was to perfect and he hated it.

For once he replied to her call, her annual call every 6 oclock. "We're just fine!" He yelled in a sarcastic uncanny voice, tucking his sisters head under his and shutting his eyes. Why would she care about his own pack. She had better things to do.

  • Ooc:
Alright : ) Sorry if my posts aren’t perfectly advanced… My muse is fluctuating.

    Ic:
Takuna could hear the call of the other pack leader asking his own pack, hearing only a few replies. Then came Madara’s call, a sarcastic call to mock her. A soft huff left her lips; He decided to be a jerk, did he? The cream husky cross shook her fur out and retreated to her little den, falling asleep until the next morning, “Takuna!” It was her owner, calling her to go to market. It was a rough town, and Takuna was pretty reliable, so he hooked her to his sled and started her down the street. Passing Madara, the female slowed and looked over at the shack, breathing in the scents. They smelled funny….. She continued to run after a moment, getting to market and whining as the sled was ‘braked’, “Stay, Takuna. I’ll be out in a moment.”

The female hugged once more and laid down in the snow, her thick belly fur getting the slightest bit damp before standing and circling faintly to make a hollow. A few people crossed by; a little boy, an old woman, and a gentleman helping a woman along. They all stopped and stroked her fur, ‘ooh’ing and ‘ahhing’ at her gentle nature and build since she was not just Husky.

Oh dont worry your absolutely fine (:

    Ic:
Morning came quickly, his resting periodic throughout the night. Awaken by the neighbors call of his leading sled dog, Madara had only wished otherwise why they'd be up early. The market. Which today was scheduled. He and his sister were the ones who always were taken to the market. Madara was clueless on what his owner was going to buy. Most likely nothing for the dogs, as usual. It was a pattern for both the owners to go seperate weeks, but oddly enough they were surely going today, as the rusted gimped man kicked the back door open and called for his muts. Madara woke ava quickly and they both rushed out in a hurry.

Seconds later they were tied up and heading towards the market, and frowning in unsatisfaction, Madara clenched his jaws together as Takuna camr into view.

"Dont chew her legs off mad," the old goon mumbled as he hopped off the sled, parking it so unconveniantly right next to Takuna. The malamute huffed in frustration and glarred at the fae behind a masked expression. "Mornin'," he nanaged to grind from his teeth towards the femme. His sister sat cautiously beside her brother, casually lixking the underside of his ear to calm him.

  • Takuna’s gaze snapped over to the malamute who was now beside her, “Good morning…. The wind didn’t upset your sleep, I hope?” She was trying to be curtious what with the people watching. Her gaze flickered to Ava, and she smiled slightly, “Good morning, Ava.” Once again she was looking at Madara, searching his face, “How’s the runs doing? Getting much?” It was a risk to even mention the runs and trapping, but what else could they do? Her ears flattened as a little kid stroked them, avoiding Madara and Ava on purpose before they left. She sighed faintly and lowed her muzzle onto her white paws, studying the two other mutts in silence.

  • "Oh it did." Madara replied, gritting his teeth carefully. He listened her to most of the time, eyes creased and brows furrowed, unable to contain his slight irritation. His sister wasn't as harsh as he was, and when her name was mentioned her ears rose and eyes lit up. "Hello Takuna!" She spoke quietly, silenced by a low growl rumbling from her brothers chest.

"The runs hmmm. Oh they've been just fine. I think we have what.....four traps out just below the rocky terrain. Each caught nothing." His last sentence spoken had risen in tone and released a large amount of tension he was holding. "I've seen you've been doing very well lately yes? About two to three prey a trap. How ironic we can't catch a thing while we're only....what, ten feet away." He waws beginning to become angry once again. Yet when a child came to pet the female and avoided him, his chest lowered as well as his posture, and his sister repeated the same process. He looked away and waited for his owner. His sister having the guts to glance over at Takuna every set amount of minutes, even seconds, sometimes giving a sympathetic gesture for her brothers small fit.

  • Takuna felt a low growl rumble, "We haven't caught anything for a while either, thank you very much." She snapped, "There must be another team somewhere because since last week the game disappeared." Her words were slightly angry and she barked them out, resulting in her master coming, "Takuna." He said sternly, shaking his head, "What has gotten into you?" He loaded the sled with some meat and was about to go when Takuna whined, flattening her ears and looking at the other two dogs. She did feel bad, causing her to make her owner stop and study the siblings "Here." In the sled was a package of meat that he opened, giving several pieces to the two dogs beside Takuna.

The female then barked sharply, "See you,Ava, Madara." She said before they were off in a burst of snow.

  • The malamute snarled as the man and his dog ran off, barking and making a massive scene. She thought it was so right of her owner to give him meat. It was only a token to rub in his face. Yes she could afford this, and she got this everyday. "You rotten god da****," he hollered as she ran off, kicking the meat with his hind legs. "Thanks for rubbing your wealth in my nose!" he added seeing he couldn't break from the straps holding him. His owner really didn't care about the scene his dogs were making, and merely hopped on and gave the two a wack, and off they went in the same direction as the fae did.

  • Takuna didn't reply as she ran harder. He didn't appreciate anything.... And she wasn't trying to show off. Had he any idea how much work they put into buying that meat, and he didn't even care about it! The female growled as her owner stopped, checking the empty traps. They had been sprung, yes, but none of them had game.

  • Wanting to follow the fae, Madara resisted his owners directions, and was wacked in the hind pretty hard for it. She didn't understand. Their was a pride he contained, where everything he had he'd gather himself. He didn't want the mercy of others. Whether they believed a dog such as himself could have any type of emotion or feelings he didn't care. He couldn't bare having to owe the female because her owner gave him something.

They didn't check their traps, as usual. They just went back home and placed in the yard to do nothing. All he could do was sit with his sister and wait, and bark at the next door neighbors when they said something ignorant. For now though things only seemed to be getting worse, and he didn't take inconsideration Takuna saying they haven't been catching much either. He wouldn't believe that. They always had more than them no matter how hard he pushed that sled to get there first, it was just the luck of the draw.

  • Takuna came to a stop at their home, whining softly as he owner unhitched her, “We’ll try again tonight, old girl…” The man murmured, stroking her ears, “we’ll see what’s happening then, I promise….” He gathered the meat and dished out dinner before slipping inside. Takuna didn’t touch the food. She felt horrid. No game, no money, no food. Her master would starve and so would the pack. The wind started to pick up and she didn’t go inside. Instead, the female nuzzled into snow and closed her eyes, allowing a drift to build against her flank. There had to be somehow she could find out what was happening to the game….
