"Just what I was thinking" Canada said grabbing Reinetier's hand and rushing down the hall dragging her along with him and trying to open the door. To find it locked.

Her white eyes widened with fear at the fact that the door wouldn't open. "Why is it not opening? We were able to get in, so we should be able to get out!" she couldn't keep panic from her voice.
-
Canada started to wretch on the doorknob, hoping that it would open with force but it only ended up with him breaking the doorknob off and falling backwards onto the ground. "I am guessing that wasn't a good idea" Canada admitted.
-
She helped Canada up. "No. It is was not the best of ideas." A shiver went down her spine, "Now what do we do? The isn't going to open for us."
-
"I don't know. Maybe this was one of America's funny tricks..." Canada said a bit scared now that he remembered that he was stuck in a house. He dropped the doorknob and brushed himself off, oh how much he could give to be having some pancakes and watch hockey right now.
-
She looked around, "If this is one of his tricks I'll ring his neck. Anyway, maybe there is another exit somewhere in this place."
-
"I only hope" Canada said, starting to sweat. The scariness of the house had multiplied from before and now it was all getting to him. He started to shiver as well, trembling. What if they couldn't get out? Was this really only America's trick? More and more questions flooded his mind. It was just making him even more scared.
-
She led her brother down the other hall still avoiding the place where the plate had shattered. 'Truly I hope this is another trick of America's. At least if it is we won't get hurt much.' Thoughts flooded her mind.
-
"I would rather it is then if it wasn't" Canada said nervously, following Reinetier. Still terrified of the mansion, he didn't know what to do. Why? Why did this have to happen? Why couldn't they just leave? It just hurt his head and made him more scared the more and more he thought of it. But he couldn't help it.
-
She started to look for other doors. She hated seeing her brother so scared when she herself started to become frightened by the mansion. She found a door, but it didn't lead outside.
-
Canada started to open doors, hoping they lead outside but there was no luck. He looked around nervously but then noticed that they had opened all the doors on the main floor except the one that the plate had shattered in.
-
She looked at him, "Should we try the place where the plate shattered? It might be our only hope."
-
"I guess so" Canada said, knowing that he had to brave it out a bit longer. Or at least till they found a way out.
-
She took his hand again knowing they both needed the comfort. Walking with him towards the only remaining doors on this floor, she opened the door at the very end of the hall.
-
Canada peered inside, and looked around. He saw the shattered plate on the ground, he wondered how it could have fallen. Maybe it wasn't placed right, it looked like a kitchen. It had a fridge, a stove, a sink and a dish rack.
-
She sighed thinking who would make a mansion with only one exit when many houses had more than one. She walked over to the broken glass.
-
"Be careful" Canada told her, the plates in the dish rack looked very unsteady and untidy so he only worried that they would fall on her.
-
"I will," she promised and carefully picked up the shards. She moved lightly as to not allow the dish tack to shake with the vibration of footsteps.
-
Canada sighed in relief once Reinetier had moved away from the unsteady dishes. "So what are we going to do?" He asked, even though he was older. He wasn't the leader type and had no clue on what he could do to get them out.
-
"I guess we'll have to search for useful items that could help us get out," she said. She really was hopeless when she was frightened or worried, but this was a strange time when she was able to think out of fear.
