  • Eurus snarled at the other rouges as they stepped into view. For a second he was torn between standing beside his packmates and running to warn the others. He shot a look to Dragger, already engaged in combat, before he steeled his spine and launched himself at the nearest brute. Though the brute outweighed him, Eurus was a whirlwind of speed, using the males bulky frame against him. The sleek male snapped at the rouges face, his fangs ripping through the delicate orb and rendering the optical useless. As the rouge roared in blind rage, Eurus rolled underneath the me and sank his canines into the beasts tender belly. Blood poured hot across his tongue and down his gullet, urging him on. Eurus held on like a massive tick, as the brute snarled and tried to dislodge him.

Rhea was fairly certain she could not love any creature more than Pariah. As a pup, her mother often told her if she ever found a brute willing to give his life for you..hes a keeper. The red pelted fae knew her mate would die to protect her and their whelps, just as surely as she would. "I think the watchful eyes of the oak sound wonderful," she said with a smile. She paused mid step, looking back over her shoulder worriedly. The fae could not shake the feeling something was amiss.

  • ((ooc my computer is broken and the new one won't be here until the 20-25th so I will be posting on my phone. Ignore typos lol and sorry if they are short))

  • OOC: We stopped at a service. It has free wi-fi :3
IC: Tia opened her eyes, so far finding no other rogues in the blackness via smell, she wanted to fight but knew no fighting skills. Only hunting skills, so she used her skill to her advantage

  • ooc: Going to powerplay Langun~

Thadeus chuckled. "My love, that sounds marvelous. I'll let you bring the announcement, come dawn..." The alpha trailed off due to uncertainty of the elusive light, and sheer grogginess. By now, his orbs were hidden by his lids, thus- he had fallen into a black slumber.

Dragger took a heavy blow to the gut, of which had already been slit in several places. He stumbled back and let a stream of blood trickle from his tongue as he wheezed...and though reminded of his own mortality, Dragger took comfort in the fact that his opponent was in similar condition, only, the rogue had also suffered a compound fracture in his Ulna. Drag rebutted with war-cry and threw himself at the rouge, and it was clear that they had only moments before on or the other would break. A sick crunching echo rang out, and Dragger released the rogue's now smashed muzzle from his own chops. "To each their own.." He bellowed, before turning his wary attention to the others.

Brigita cackled much like a hyena, and gripped Tia's scruff, yanking her to the sidelines. "Stay by this boulder, if another comes after you, simple step out of the way and kick the beast into the rock." Bri ordered the huntress, before engaging once more in the brawl. She was then met by the remaining female. This was when Langun stepped in as well, however, more to oversee the fight rather than to stir it up...not out of cowardice, however. His intentions lay with keeping a keen eye on their surroundings as if expecting more. Dragger staggered near Langun. "Bring Tia back." He barked, watching Brigita and the last female circle one another, along with the fight tearing between Eurus and the last male.

Brigita cawed and mewled, and the eerie song dazed the other fatale, and further angered her. To Bri, blind hate was an advantage on the flip side...and just as expected, the rogue female made the first shot- landing a steel-inspired clam on Brigita's hip. Bri then turned on a dime and took the extra flesh of the rogue's craw between her own teeth and ripped the large bit of flesh from the other dame's frame as if it were an elk carcass. The other female howled out and lost her mind, then biting Brigita's tail clean off. Brigita spun around squealing before deliver a clean snap at the rogue's nose, also dismembering it- leaving the other dame's face half-eaten away. The rogue female stumbled- seeing red before she fell to the ground, succumbing to blood loss and exquisite pain. Bri then stepped forward, with a sharp rock in her paw and drove the stone between the rogue's eyes, thus, ending the quarrel.

  • Eurus was slowly disemboweling the rouge, as with every breath the brute took Eurus sunk his fangs deeper into its gut. With blood pouring out all over him Eurus noticed how slick things had become. The young brute knew he would have to release his hold and just as he contemplated the thought, the rouge reared up, thus dislodging the wolf like tick that had ate away at his innards. Eurus rolled across the ground, sliding and slipping on the bloody earth. The rouge tackled him, forcing the brute against a boulder and clasping his jaws around Eurus' mandible. The scout yelped in pain and tried to rear upwards but his lightweight frame would not move the heavy rouge. The will to live sprang to life, shooting adrenaline through his bloodstream. With a muffled snarl Eurus rolled sideways, forcing all his weight in one direction, breaking the hold on his lower jaw. A discernible pop could be heard as Eurus' jaw was rendered from its socket. With agonizing pain rippling through his body he collapsed to the ground. An eerie howl rose from his mangled maw and rose into the dark sky. Once more the rouge attacked and pinned Eurus down. The scout dug his claws deep into the brutes gut and was rewarded when guts and organs poured out onto him. The rouge shuddered visibly and with a last bit of effort sank his fangs into Eurus' shoulder, cleaving meat from bone before blood loss took its toll. The brute collapsed on top of Eurus, and the young male had no strength to push the carcass off himself.

  • (Sorry if i am messing up any plot lines, let me know if i am and i will change it)

The wolfess moved at a moderate pace through the forest. Treading on unfamiliar ground, Calista took cautious steps, paws placed carefully with each stride. The darkness has her senses on over drive, nares flaring to take in the scents around her. It was obvious others were in the area, but where? Delicate auds twisting upon her cranium she paused. A sickening sound came from her left - the familiar sound of blood and guts. Muscles stiffening instantly the fae was tense as she moved. She knew that it was risky to venture towards unknown lupines, especially with a kill nearby. But she felt more comfortable finding out what was going on than trying to hide. Hiding was not in her nature. Moving stealthily forward, body lowered to the ground, she moved towards the sound. It was after a moment that she realized the blood was that of a wolf. A chill ran down the wolf's spine as she broke through the foliage. Two fallen wolves laid in a tangle mess, intesrines spilled on the ground. Swallowing hard Calista took a step closer, trying to ascertain what had happened. It was then that she heard the shallow breathing of the bottom wolf. Growling in frustration the femme moved closer to the injured wolf. "If I get him off you, you better not attack me" she nearly snarled, not waiting for a response before she grabbed the dead wolves tail and dragged him off.

  • ooc: You did just fine. There were actually four rogue wolves- now dead. One being a female in which Brigita drove into a boulder and smashed a rock shard into its forhead. Brigita lost her tail in the wreckage. Dragger killed a white brute by spilling his organs too (blood loss) and is now just catching his composure as he stares around at them. Langun is going to take Tia back. Dragger (being the highest ranker in the little patrol) will order them to stay out and keep an eye out for more, even given their circumstances. In an nut shell, that's the outcome. Welcome! By the way. ;D

Lithera quietly rasped her tongue across the fleecy chest of her mate as she listened to his rhythmic breathing. She was happy to see him rest and not under the constant pressure of the pack.

Pariah nodded and led her over to tree that was close but far enough away to not disturb them if any pack members returned from the woods. "Here should be nice." He smiled and laid down with his back against the strong trunk inviting Rhea to rest against him.

  • Eurus groaned miserably and let out a yelp as the dead rouge was dragged off of his mangled body. The brute eyed the unknown fae and a distorted growl rumbled from his wrenched jaw. Blood poured from his wounded shoulder and as he stood the limb hung useless at his side. He hobbled over to Drag, falling on his face as his strength was waning. He let out a high pitched yelp as pain radiated through his face. A growing pool of blood was slowly forming beneath him as he stared up at Dragger, his eyes pleading and speaking the words he could not.

Rhea was agitated, and began to pace circles around the oak. However inviting and enticing Pariah was, her motherly instincts were on high alert. She stopped in front of her mate. "Something is wrong...i know it." The fatale licked Pariahs cheek before stepping away, "I have to check on our pups. I won't sleep a bit if I don't." She followed the well worn path to the alpha den and stopped outside. Her ears flicked forward as she thought she heard a faint howl in the distance. "Lithera," she called out worriedly.

Pariah then felt the emotions he had pushed aside earlier come up once again and followed her with worry. He waited at the base of the cliff until he heard a strange cry and decided to go ahead of the others.

Lithera's ears shot up as she heard her mother right outside the den. Her mother wasn't one to bug her unnecessarily so she slipped carefully away from Thadeus so that she didn't disturb him and walked to the mouth of the den on quiet paws, "Yes? Something wrong?"

  • Calista stood where the blood had been spilled, murky amber eyes following the shape of the wolf who promptly left the scene. Cranium tilting in a puzzled manner, the fae realized that she had stumbled upon this battle at its very end. The tension in the air was dissipating with each second that passed, and it seemed that the incursion was over - for now at least. Judging by the heavy aroma of blood in the air, this crumpled lupine was not the only life that had been lost. Glancing back up from the fallen brute, Cal discerned another wolf with the one that she had relieved of the carcass. Panting from both exertion and anxiety the ashen colored wolfess stepped forward in a tentative manner, hoping her good deed would be remembered and she would not be perceived as a threat.

  • Thadeus's eyes peeled open, and at once he noticed Lithera gone, but he wasn't too late in finding her still just outside the den, and heading towards Rhea's pleading voice. He shot past them at the scent of blood at a thundering gallop which suggested anxiety, and determination as well. His hoof-like paw steps hitting the damp, cold earth could be heard clearly as he was approaching the massacre.

Langun nodded to Dragger, before swiftly turning on his heels and brushing agianst Tia, doing his best to come across as comforting. "Let's go home, I hear alpha." He cooed, though it was more of a subtle order.

Dragger groaned and teetered a bit upon lack of balance, and dizziness. He too peered down at Eurus, but not in any threatening or dominant way. Now, they were equals- all of them were. Just wolves. Dragger then stepped forward a bit, and ran his paw over Eurus's forehead. "You fought well." Was all the Delta croaked, feeling a crashing wave of guilt- for it had been he who lead them out that night in the first place.

Brigita paced back and forth, a wicked look in her eye as she stared down the other femelle who had just eased a dead lupine off of Eurus. "Your name." She cawed, her rich cajun accent of which she shared with Dragger was twice as evident in her agitated state, though it was sharper, and harsh rather than slick and romantic.

  • Calista found herself wondering if these wolves had eradicated a small pack, or if they were defending their territory from rogues. Her eyes locked on a female who was injured - her tail was missing, most likely due to a battle with a bretheren of the fallen wolf by her own feet. The wolfess seemed aggravated by Cal's presence, and this ignited a fire inside of the ashen femme, but she did her best to extinguish it. This was not her land, nor her pack, and very easily she could be killed or driven away. Keeping her posture neutral without cowering in fear, being careful not to appear dominant, the wolf's strange voice came to Cal's sensitive auds. "My name is Calista" she said simply, "but I also go by Cal." Shifting on her paws, she decided against inquiring the fae's name at the moment, waiting to see what her reaction would be.

  • Rhea paced worriedly outside the alpha den until her daughter emerged. "Something is wrong," was all she managed to say before Thad barreled past them. The betess whirled around and followed, her long legs pumping hard to keep pace with the alpha. A nervous energy buzzed in her blood, urging her on, and though she wanted to go full steam ahead, the inky blackness kept her at a steady slower pace. When the acrid stench of blood became overwhelming to her senses she skidded to a halt, narrowly missing plowing into Brigita. Her claws scrabbled for grip in the blood-soaked earth and she twisted sideways to avoid colliding with the bloody quarreler. Her nares burned with Eurus' scent and she rushed over to her injured son. Gingerly she licked blood from his face, "My boy, you are a mess," she said softly. She placed her large paw over the gaping wound in his shoulder to staunch the bleeding.

Eurus laid in a pool of his own blood, clinging to life by a thread. He was quietly waiting for the wolf he loved the most in the world to come find him. As his mother's calming presence appeared like an angel through the darkness, Eurus let out a small sigh. He had already lost too much blood to feel any pain as she placed her paw on his shoulder. He stared up at her gentle face, memorizing every inch of it. Eurus struggled to speak, managing to whisper "love you" before his eyes rolled back and he slipped away into the afterlife.

Lithera sprinted after her mate and mother, skidding to a stop behind her mother. But she could clearly see her brother laying in such a state. Her body was ridged. How could this happen?.. Her father just returned, her family was finally together! Hot tears began to form in her eyes, "Y-you fox-brained pup! You're not going anywhere! Your not leaving us!!" She growled biting down on his scruff hoping that he would jump up and smack her like he used to. 'Just once, just one..' She pleaded in her thoughts.

Pariah had been slower. He couldn't find his way in the unfamiliar forrest and came upon the scene. Death. His body was screaming with anger, hurt, sadness... His own flesh and blood torn to pieces.

  • Thadeus had upturned a mound of dirt when he came to a halt, and he was immediately overcome with fear. Yes, Thadeus was afraid. "Rhea, we're running short of time to bring him back. It's time to make a decision." Murmured the alpha, his face suddenly aging a full five years as he peered down at Eurus, wondering if he himself was to blame.

Birgita stepped agilely out of Rhea and Thad's stampeding path. "Come, Dragger, Langun, Tia and Calista. There's nothing we can do here other than get out of the way. Alpha is the best damn wolf out there for Eurus right now." She ordered soberly, her tongue whipping the roof go her mouth with every consonant.

Langun was growing impatient, and even more frantic as more wolves moved to the scene, and he was relieved when Brigita took the initiative. He then moved Tia along with a less than gentle nudge with his shoulder.

Dragger's expression contorted to something caught between a silent scream and a weep. Indeed the bipolar brute blamed himself, even in his dark and unpredictable state. He tucked his tail tightly between his hind appendages and the delta shamed himself further by letting his head hang as he hobbled past Brigita and the three others- a nearly black trail of bubbly blood dripping from his battered craw.

  • Having assumed the she wolf was about to drive her off, Calista was surprised when she heard her own name roll out of the fae's mouth. Her eyes, which had been lowered submissively, flicked back upwards instantly. Despite the fact that she had no connection to these wolves, their grief was evident and somehow transferred to her. As she glanced at the fallen wolf she frimaced, swallowing suddenly. She then followed, her delicate appendages carrying her in the path of the others, not sure where they were going. She moved silently, hanging back a bit from the group so as not to intrude. Although her eyesight was keen even in the darkness, she found it hard to take in her surroundings accurately, depending on her hearing and nose to guide the way into the unknown.

  • Rhea's face contorted into a mask of grief as Eurus took his last breath. "I love you too," she said sadly though her words were spoken to no one, just her son's spirit. No tears formed in her eyes, as she had yet to accept he was truly dead. The fae merely lowered to the ground and eased her son's bloody and broken body onto her back. With a heavy heart she followed silently behind the rest of the pack.
