this wasn't her first time, but perhaps it would be her last. she wasn't very old, somewhere around thirty-five months of age, but that didn't mean she was exhausted of having litter after litters. curling up inside of her mossy nest inside of the nursery, the female sucked in a deep breath, settling down for a nap when a sharp pain erupted into her stomach. deep, russet-chocolate orbs widened slightly in surprise as she had believed the kits were coming next week, but apparently their urge to come out into the world was stronger than she thought. powerful ripples flooded down her stomach and she knew that this birth would be different for her since she was in a new, foreign being.
after about an hour or so of non-stop contractions, the first cub was born. a rare beauty, a gorgeous little white cheetah who louvreart knew would be a treasure to her, as all of her kits were. "you will be known as daydream efflorescence praelium," she whispered to the new-born. a warm tongue licked the female cheetah's fur backwards to start her blood flow while teeth gently grazed the delicate cub, opening up the air sack for her to breath. nudging the small being to her stomach, louvreart barely had enough time to admire the little beauty. another white and black beauty, a female as well. so unique, weren't they? repeating the same process with her other daughter, the former deputy thought momentarily for a name to dub the little cub. "you will be called odette praelium," she finally murmured, her nose pressing into the cheetah's side as she placed the new-born next to daydream. and last(?), but not least, another female, this one a chinchilla cheetah. teeth opening the sack so the little graceful female could breath and tough tongue lapping over the cub so her blood would flow, the mother pressed her nose to the last female. "you, my dear, will be named titanic praelium," she whispered as she pressed the newly named female cheetah toward her stomach so she now lay next to her other two sisters. a proud, weak grin pressed the former calico, feral feline's maw upwards as she briskly licked the three cheetah's heads. she knew, because it was part of the deal with the scarclan leader, that one of the cubs would have to leave to scarclan, but deciding would break louvreart's delicate heart. shoving the thought clear out of her mind, the normal cheetah thanked starclan for letting this litter be a healthy, flawless one. admiring her little angels whom she'd spoil rotten, louvreart smiled warmly down upon her wild-cat daughters.
