  • Skypaw walked along the beach. It was very late at night. He had snuck out of camp as usual but this time thought someone followed him. He finaly found the cave in the cliff and sat out side the entrance.

  • Owlpaw crept along behind him, her tail swaying behind her. She paused, her white pelt stood out against the sand.

  • Skypaw walked into the cave. It was very beautiful inside. There was one big moss bed and a small fresh kill pile. There was also a stream running through the cave. He walked over to the stream and toke a drink. He then went and laid down, looking out of the cave at the lake.

  • Owlpaw took this time to bolt by the side of the cave. When she thought that he wouldn't be out anytime soon, she jumped around the corner, but at the wrong time. She gulped and got into a crouch as she looked up at him.

  • I always sneak out here. This beach is where all my siblings died. Mom and dad in battle, sister on ice, and my brother fell off the cliff as mate was giving birth on the top. It's very beautiful here, too. He grabed a rabbit.Lets share, your here, you shouldn't leave. There's enouph room for both of us.

  • Owlpaw sighed. "I'm sorry that happened." She said as she leaned over and tugged on a leg of the mouse, before ripping it off after several tries. She began to eat it. "Thank you." She said.

  • It's ok, it gets lonly here sometimes. He finshed eating the rabbit and pushed the rest aside. He laid down on the bed and again began looking out at the water.

  • Owlpaw watched as mist began to flood the shore, and some looked like cats fighting. Her heart sank as she got into a laying position.

  • Owlpaw purred as he did so, and she looked up at the dense mist. She leaned her head against the other apprentice, mostly from tiredness.

  • Owlpaw yawned, laying down her head. Sleep overcame her, and soon she was still, and the only movement was her chest.

  • Skypaw stayed awake most of the night. He finally went to sleep when the moon fell behind the mountains.
