  • Feeling guilty that he'd forced the other off, he simply sat as the storm rolled in again. Rain soon enough battered against the roof of the building, thunder and lightening frequently lighting up the darkening sky. Cold wind began to blow through the area, the temperature dropping rapidly. As much as he hated to admit it, but with a small shiver, he figured being close to the other was better. Making his way to where the other was, he dug his way beneath the foul smelling hay, and nestled in. It was slightly warmer, at least enough to help him feel better. Being skinnier and unhealthy, he got cold when he shouldn't have, and thus needed more to keep warm. This would be enough.

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white]Feeling another life form slightly larger in size and mass plop down next to her surprised Kasey as she drowsily opened her eyes to see Artyom lay near her. She hesitantly scooted closer to him to give him a bit more body warmth just in case he was a bit chilly. She closed her eyes once again, this time drifting off a bit quicker into a light sleep that was barely disturbed by the loud weather outdoors of the born.

  • Even at a distance, he was grateful to feel some heat from another body. It also did something to satisfy his mind, hearing another body close by. It felt like he was no longer alone; like someone else was present to sort of.. watch his back. While had been initially hesitant to trust the female, she'd shown nothing but kindness, albeit hesitant at times, to him. And such affected his mind, allowing him to feel not quite so angry or alone, and so sleep was more possible.

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white](Mkay! Oh, and happy late Valentine's / Single Awareness Day!)

A soft, cool morning breeze that ruffled the female's thick fur and tickled her semi-folded ears caused Kasey to stir in her slumber, and eventually open her chocolate brown eyes. Blinking away the sleep to see properly, she stood up slowly to stretch her weak muscles to fully awake herself before her gaze averted over to where she saw the German Shepherd last with a yawn.

  • ~Meh. Valentines day. Blah. I dont' believe in them. Hope you had a good one, anyway, though.~~

It had taken a while, but eventually Arty had fallen into a sleep. It wasn't a deep sleep, but it was restful enough that when he woke, he felt a lot better. He opened his eyes to find light streaming in to the building through windows and cracks, and sat up. Blinking the sleep from his eyes, the dog looked around. "Morning.."

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white](Mine was boring..... I didn't get any chocolate! D:)

The Boder Collie flashed the male a bright, yet sort of tired smile at his greeting. "Good morning," she barked softly through a second yawn. "Do you have an idea of where we are going next?" Kasey shook her fur lazily to rid her pelt of any loose strands of hay, but it wasn't very effective and caused some more strands of straw to cling to the fluffy wisps of white and molten brown fur. This very much annoyed and frustrated to fae, though soon ignored the pestering straws to return her attention to Arty.

  • Sitting up and shaking himself off, the dog was confused for a moment by the word 'we', before recalling that he had allowed the other to go with him. "Nope. No clue. Just keep on walking, in a direction that's different from the one I came from." He answered, watching for a moment the other's struggle with the hay. "Need some help with that?" He questioned, a small, and rare tone of humor lacing his voice.

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white]The fae's ears grew hot in embarrassment as she felt that the brute saw her struggling with the hay in her fur. "Hehe...... Yeah," she admitted as she sat down on the boarded floor to scratch behind her ear at a straw of hay that bugged her deeply. [b]"Sometimes I wish my fur wasn't very long, and right now is one of those moments."

  • Chuckling softly at that, the dog took a few tentative steps closer, before sitting back. "I bet it can be annoying." He empathized. Using a paw, he brushed strands that would probably have been unreachable from the female's thick fur. Being this close to another was something that the shepherd hadn't had happen in a long time, and as soon as he realized what he was doing, the dog backed away. Thankfully he'd gotten a good number of strands loose.

Blinking once, the shepherd closed his eyes for a moment. "I.. sorry. Let's.. take a few minutes to hunt for food.. and then meet here. After that we'll um.. keep going." Now unsure of himself, and wondering why he'd so willingly volunteered to help Kasey brush hay free of her pelt, he took off quickly. Hunger was a good excuse, so he'd use it.

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white]Kasey was very thankful for Arty's polite assistance, but was confused whenever he rushed away to go and hunt. "Ummm..... O-Okay?" she called with much puzzlement in her naturally soft voice. The Border Collie sighed, and reluctantly took off in a different direction in case the German Shepherd wanted his space. Lifting her black, moist nose into the air, the fae scented the breezes that carried any scents that read of prey.

  • He felt like a fool. He shouldn't have gotten that close to her. It wasn't.. right. He didn't feel right doing it. Well actually he did, and that was the problem. He was becoming too soft... too friendly. Arty couldn't allow that. But despite such thoughts, he couldn't bring back the usual, dispassionate self of his. Where had it gone so quickly? How did Kasey rub off on him so much..? It didn't make sense!

His mind was so preoccupied he found it difficult to even concentrate on hunting, let alone catching anything. Finally though, he got lucky on a couple of field mice and consumed the small snack as though it were nothing. But it'd be enough energy to keep him going for a while.

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white]Puzzlement and confusion clouded the fae's eyes and distracted her mind as she continuously tried to focus on a rabbit grazing in front of her a meter or two away. She was crouched down as low as she could on all fours, her nose twitching with anticipation while she licked her chops hungrily. As Kasey leapt towards the rodent, her mind grew with thoughts on what had happened not too long ago and missed the rabbit to only fall into a large puddle filled with mud. Growling with frustration, she reluctantly stood and grimaced at her now dirty and wet fur.

Later on, she had somehow caught an elderly rabbit and killed a Black Snake that tried to take her catch away from her. She only buried the snake, and then continued to devour the bony hate that didn't have very much meat on its bones, but managed to fill her up some. She searched for the same pond she was at yesterday with the German Sherpherd to wash off.

  • Upon finishing his snack, the dog sat up and moved off to locate his friend. His strange behavior was no doubt... well, strange to her, and he felt like he owed her at least a few words of explanation. Tracking the other to the pond of water, Arty paused there. Attempting to work his courage up, he found himself unable to, and so he simply sat back to watch the other. He remained alert though; it would be at a time like this that his pursuers would show up. Just when he thought everything was going to be alright.. they would happen upon a time and destroy it.

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white]Kasey had been swimming around in the decently clean pond that had a few patches of moss floating on its once still surface. She dunked her head down every now and then to see if there was anything underwater, but couldn't really see a thing and just popped her head back up for air. After this quick wash, the drenched Border Collie shook her fur that was still quite soaked, making her huff with disappointed when she noticed her white fur was still slightly colored from the mud.

  • Silently observant, he watched the other swim about and.. do whatever it was she was doing in the water. It looked like a bath, or perhaps a swim just for fun. He remembered doing that at times. Though not for a while. Clearing his throat, Arty finally worked up the courage to speak. "Hey.. ah. You ready to go?" He had considered just taking off and leaving without the other dog. But it didn't feel right. He couldn't do it.

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white]The fur on the fae's back stood on end in surprise at Arty's voice that rang into her semi-floppy ears. Turning her head towards the male, Kasey nodded towards him and half ran towards the German Shepherd to join him at where he had been watching her.

(Uggggh, sorry for such a terrible post)

  • Smiling faintly, Arty offered a small nod. "Sorry, if I startled you. Cause.. you look a little surprised." He said, taking in the wet furred dog before him. Feeling somewhat bad for the fact that he'd been watching for.. however long now, the shepherd turned. "Just wanted to know if you were ready to leave?"

  • [align=center][font=andale mono][color=white]"O-Oh, ummmm..... Yeah!" the fae sputtered, still a little anxious from being startled by the unknowingly watching male. "We should get moving so we don't get caught." When surprised, Kasey knew she was going to be a bit clumsy on her paws for a while, and that's what happened as she shakily trotted in the opposite direction they came to the pond the previous night. She nearly tripped over her paws a few times, winding up with her nearly faceplanting her head into the ground.
