Ivypaw crouched by the river, starring into the water. Suddenly, she saw a flash of movement, fish! The apprentice lashed a paw out, scooped the fish up and flung it in the air sending sparkling droplets in all directions. But it landed on the edge of the bank and started to flop towards the river. "No!" Ivypaw tried to grab the scaly creature but ended up slipping and landing in the cold water with a loud splash. "Argh" she coughed as she tried to dig her claws into the muddy grass she had been sitting on.
Stupid fish!

··Stormcall
[hr]"No! ...Argh"
Stormcall paused and pricked his ears. He had been patrolling the perimeter of the RiverClan camp, keeping an eye out for unwelcome intruders and even occasionally prey. At the sound of the frustrated mews nearby, he slipped silently through the reeds to find out what was going on. That sounded like Ivypaw, he thought to himself. He halted at the edge of the reeds, his mottled dark fur melting into the shadows as he studied Ivypaw struggling to keep her balance. He just managed to catch the gleam of silver of a fish before it flopped back into the water with a loud splash.
A moment later, she toppled in. Stormcall bounded out of his hiding spot and leaned over the river, unsheathing his claws to grip the sodden patch of grass Ivypaw had been standing on moments before. He bent down swiftly and carefully grasped the flailing apprentice by the scruff with his powerful jaws, leaning back slightly to avoid her flying paws and the water splattering off of them. Then he heaved upward and dragged her ashore, setting her down carefully on the grass. "That would have been a good catch," he told her, "But fish are slippery and fast, and sometimes they do get away." He paused, studying her dripping fur. She was a RiverClan cat, but even warriors could suffer from a dip in the water when it was so cold in the leaf-bare. It was almost spring, but the water was still bound to be freezing. "Are you okay? Do you need to go back to camp?" He asked her. He wasn't a medicine cat, but he wondered if he should advise her to go back anyway, in case she caught a cold or something. Having a denful of sick apprentices in the middle of leaf-bare was the last thing RiverClan needed.

Ivypaw's dark, wet fur was plastered to her shivering body, she felt like she was made of ice. "Yeah", she paused for a moment to sneeze, "but I probably shouldn't sleep in the apprentice den for a while, incase I'm sick". Ivypaw blinked as water trickled down her forehead and into her eyes, she shook herself making water fly in all directions but it didn't do much good. "Stupid fish" she mumbled. Although it was probably her fault for not keeping a good grip, Ivypaw preferred to blame the fish.

OOC: Can I join?
IC: A cool breeze passed over the water. -
((It's up to sweetpunk. ;) ))
Stormcall nodded in response to Ivypaw's words, gazing at her in concern as she sneezed. "Let's get you back to camp, then. You should have a medicine cat look you over once we get there." He beckoned her with his tail, indicating for her to follow, and headed back towards camp.

OOC: Sure, anyone can join.
IC: Ivypaw nodded and followed Stormcall back to camp.
