Coralkit and Sharkkit scrambled up and disappeared into the nursery, 'What happened?' the little she kit asked her clan mates in a whisper.

" the-the badger ripped out her throat." Shadowshard said, with sorrow filling his voice.

Shadowshard settled himself down next to his sisters body, and to his surprise, he heard slight shallow breathing! " spottedstar!" Shadowshard yowled.

" emberwing she-she's still alive !" He exclaimed.

" what can we put in the place of her throat?" He asked looking at the still bleeding throat.

" I'm not sure that cobwebs are gonna hold this." Shadowshard fretted, "wait do you still have that piece of two leg metal we found?" He asked, having an idea.

" thank you, can you bring me a large rock?" He asked sitting the stone lightly on emberwings throat.

" thank you ." He said before picking up the rock in his jaws. With hard tentative strikes at the stone, he shifted the rock to where it form-fitted where emberwing's throat should have been.

The metal began to go up and down like a normal throat, as emberwing came back to life.

" oh no! I'm a warrior through and through, I just wasn't going to let my sister die.... If she did I don't think that I could go on." He said looking at spottedstar.
