Bornstellar sat on the side of a mountain watching over the valley, leaning against his big furry companion, Bjorn. He had his head bent low as he concentrated on his journal, scribbling down notes and sketches of what he'd seen so far. The tall Nord had his Zweihander close at hand, hand his shoes off as he warmed his feet by the fire. All in all, it was a peaceful day for him.

The worst part about Skyrim, Tabitha thought as she carefully steered her horse over the peak of the mountain, was the weather. Hands down. She pulled her hood further down over her face to the point she could barely see under it, huffing and watching her breath appear in the cold air. Even Solstheim was warmer than here. Morrowind was probably even warmer, but Morrowind was also inhabitable thanks to the Baar Dau incident. Why couldn't her family have just moved to somewhere like Cyrodiil?
The young Guildmaster practically sighed in relief as she and her horse came down the other side of the mountain, away from the awful wind and snow- though the snow didn't even hit the ground, it was so busy being blown into her face- pulling down the hood of her cloak and brushing strands of her black hair out of her face. It was a good thing she wasn't wearing her Thieve's Guild armor, she reflected, glancing back at the mountain. Bandits tended to flock to her like flies to honey when she did, even if it did keep the thieves away. She did give a glance warily at the tower she was approached, though it appeared to be empty, which was a blessing. All she had on her was a dagger and she didn't feel like taking on a group of bandits at the moment. Mostly she wanted to sleep, or throw herself into a fire. Whichever was warmer, actually.
Tabitha had almost cleared the tower a disembodied voice spoke up, causing her to flinch out of surprise. The voice soon gained a body to go along with it, stepping out of the shadows with an arrow pointed straight at her.
The Dunmer stared down at the tip of the arrow, following it with her eyes until they trailed to look at the bandit's face, one eyebrow raised. "Toll road, hm? Is that what they're calling it now?" She snorted. "Cute." In one fluid motion she swung herself off her horse, hands raised to show she meant no harm, holding the horse's reigns in one fist. "You seem the civilized sort, surely you can let me pass without payment," she said in a honeyed tone. "Besides," she added off-handedly. "I'm more than certain I can't afford your toll, anyways. How disappointing." -
Tarry was laying on the ground on a sleeping bag, in a light, troubled sleep. She was apart of Raiza's group, and the next shift was hers. She got used to waking up at the same time. Like clockwork she woke up just before Raiza's shift ended. As usual she woke up from either a dreamless or nightmare filled sleep, this time dreamless. She grabbed her sword that was on the ground next to her and slipped it in the sheath attatched to her belt.
The Khajiit stretched, standing up. "Raiza?" She called, yawning. "It's my shift. Where are you?" She heard voices so she followed them. She went to the stairs and climbed up them to the door, where she saw him. "What's going on?" She questioned, yawning again. -
duratus look at the slightly yellowed map that his father gave him before he left for his adventure. 'i'll be back at riften soon' he thought as he passed by a tower oblivious of what was going on. he then sneezed and almost tripped on his feet at the same time "nice going" he muttered sarcastically to himself he sighed "i just want to go and sleep in my bed" he said out loud his tail flicking irritably
-
Tabitha peered around the man's shoulder to glance at the Khajiit, hands still raised innocently. "Just a friendly conversation," she said in a chipper tone. "Or," she reflected, turning back to Raiza, "we aren't killing each other, yet. That's about as friendly as you bandits get though, isn't it?" She smirked. Although she couldn't say her little group back in Riften was much better.
She slowly pulled aside her cloak, reaching for her dagger and cutting the string of the pouch of coins that hung from her belt, tossing the dagger aside in one quick motion. "Alright," she sighed, counting out 20 septims holding them out with one hand, "you win. I'll pay, no trouble necessary." -
duratus was pulled out of his trance by him stumbling over a rock and after glaring at the rock and muttering a few words that weren't all that pretty he looked up "hello whats going on?" he asked still not understanding the situation around him due to his mind mainly focused on the route he was taking and how long it will take
-
"I take slight offense to the thief thing!" Tarry called as she walked away. "You've got this covered, Raiz. I'll be waiting downstairs." She descended the wooden steps, careful not to make too much noise and wake the others up as she did. When she arrived to where the others were sleeping she sat down on her sleeping bag.
-
[That'd be rad!]
"I'm going, I'm going," Tabitha insisted, turning and grabbing her dagger up from the ground, slipping it back into its sheath on her belt. She mounted the horse, pulling her hood back up over her head as she nudged the horse to continue on the path. She cast a glance back at the tower as she rode away from it, shaking her head. Bandits. Good for nothing. Less honor than thieves, if such a thing was possible.
-
a look of confusion crossed duratus' face before he shrugged and reopened his map and continued to stare at it's contents, he started to mumble about directions and rocks before setting off again towards riften
-
Bornstellar could hear the soft echo of their conversation from his perch on the hill. Ever the curious one, he shut his book and set it with his bags and took up his Zweihander. "C'mon Bjorn, let's go check it out!" he said quietly, crouching low and jogging up to the tower. It took him a while, but he managed to get behind a rock overlooking the passage. "Oohh... Bandits... Damnit..." the Nord muttered, hand on his Zweihander's hilt.
-
OOC:
They're not bandits, though.
I don't think.IC:
Tarry grinned at Raiza as he ran in, the others being woken up out of their sleep in a rather unpleasant way. "Good job." -
The road to Riften was long, Tabitha thought, but at least it was warmer now. Slightly. One could never really call Skyrim warm. Better than up near Winterhold, at least. By the Eight, if she ever had to go there again she would probably throw herself off the top of the College. She fell into a sort of mechanical process after a while, following the path at a moderate pace, not really watching where she was going. It was, after all, a pretty long way to Riften, and she did have a lot to think about.

Arenbor, an Argonian warrior with full Dwarven Armor, road past the mountain tower slowly on his horse, currently he was heading to Whiterun so he could collect a bounty reward. He stopped as he heard noise from inside the tower and from his knowledge this tower was supposed to be abandoned, just to investigate he started walking in slowly, he had an iron axe out along with his shield, he slowly approached the door and he heard clink before being knock unconscious by the trap door. His helm had been knocked from his head as his iron axe was two feet away from him.
-
Tarry was going to join Raiza and get some food when she heard a loud noise. "What was that?" Voices said, the thought traveling around the room. "I'll go check." Tarry offered, standing up. She pulled her sword out of its sheath and descended the stairs. As she reached the trapped door she saw an unconscious lizard-creature laying there. Well, she called them lizards. "Hmm.." She put her sword back in its sheath and picked up the axe and helmet. "Haha. I'm in need of some new armor." She thought aloud, returning to the room the others were in. She opened a chest she had at the foot of her sleeping bag and set the items in it, grinning all the while. "Hey, Raiz, there's an unconscious lizard near the trapped door." She called to him.
-
Ooc: NO NOT THE ARMOR IT TOOK HIM THREE DUNGEONS TO COLLECT THAT! Is what I would say in the actual game XD
IC:
Arenbor continued to be unconscious and unmoving, the trap sort didn't do much damage to him it was more the knock back and he hit the back of his head. Good thing he wasn't well known because this would have been embarrassing even though it already was. His black scales kept him warm for the most part and the small amount of red feathers on his head moved with the wind
-
OOC:
XD. Too bad, bandits. Just like if you take a horse and 20 minutes later you get arrested.
-.-IC:
Tarry decided to go check on the guy. She went back to the trapped door and stood over the guy, looking down at him. She seemed un-amused, but she couldn't help but felt slightly sorry for the guy. -
Arenbor...... remained unconscious, but his both was starting to move about now and his head flopped over to the right. His senses were coming back to him and his eyes opened a little bit, his vision was extremely fuzzy so he didn't see much.
-
Tarry watched him, noticing some movement. She kneeled down in front of him when he opened his eyes. "G'mornin', sunshine." She said, slight sarcasm in her voice.
-
Arenbor groaned and shook his head, "Where is my helm," the lizard asked looking around with a confused look. He saw Tarry and sighed "Oh great a bandit, and I'm defenseless"
-
"Your helmet is in my storage chest, along with your axe. So yeah, pretty much." She said, grinning.
