"It feels more like they're following then escorting." Riley said. He understood the generals concern. He himself would be nervous if he was in charge of the the prince's protection in a possibly hostile environment.

OOC: What forest exactly? There are many in the Legend of Zelda, lol.
IC:
At last they arrived, but to what? A standing figure in the desert was first seen by Rhyder, but its figure was unidentified because of the swirling sands. "I've seen that before!" The prince ran up ahead. The general quickly gave chase; the oblivious prince, couldn't he see it might've been a trap? As Rhyder got to the figure, it was revealed. The general who caught up, cursed under his breath at the sight of it. A common cow skull had been placed on a stake, as well as other bones that let it represent a living being or some sort. It was disturbing to stare at for the eyes were still in the sockets, staring at the general; it was enough to make him vomit."My lord, this is unsettling; we should leave." The general kept switching glances not know what to be afraid of: the fact that it was disturbing, or the fact that Rhyder was actually fascinated by the putrid carcass.
-
Riley quickly gave chase after them, but came to a dead halt when he caught sight of the corps. "... Well then... Looks like some poor fellow lost his cow..." He couldn't help it, being funny was how he coped with stress. He pulled his gaze away and looked off across the sand, trying not to look back.
-
"This is actually a practice among the Rajah tribe; they have several of these place along the desert. They are said to come alive and attack intruders as night falls." It was possible; the corpse did have limbs, but the thought was enough for the general. "That's it; we're leaving." Rhyder gave him a questioning look, to tell him to explain himself. "These people are Majo; nothing good can come from them." "Not even those who heal ailments and wounds?" The prince raised an eyebrow. "If such Majo existed." The general lead on.

TJ was running away from the shop keeper because he "borrowed" a laser sword from the store when suddenly he bumped in to someone,as he fell over and got back up,"sorry sir."he said trying to get back on his feet.
-
Riley tried not to flinch at the generals comment, and had to restrain himself from saying anything. It was a direct insult to what he held most true. He wondered how it ever came to this. How did the world lose it's trust in magic? It used to be that magic was common and widely practiced, or so his father told him. Yes, it can be use for evil, but so can the technology they clung to during this age. His hand went up to his Oracle Specs on his head. They appeared as normal goggles, but they were a perfect example of how magic could be used for good. "It's not the magic that's good or evil, it's the person that uses it." Only after he said it did he realize he had spoken it aloud.
-
"I would not expect you to understand national security." The general scoffed at his remark. "It is the potential that you must protect the people from; rumor is bound to cause hysteria. Now tell me, how would that help the situation I ensure does not happen?" Rhyder sensed the older man's anger and decided to continue past the carcass. "There's smoke coming from the horizon there..." He shielded his eyes from the setting sun and walked straight in the direction.
-
Riley started to follow him, and as he did, he lowered his goggles over his eyes. He held his hand in place on the side and started to concentrate on the smoke in the distance. Slowly, the source of the smoke appeared to grow closer and closer. Unfortunately, there was a dune blocking his sight, so he could not see what was behind it, or what was making the smoke. He made a mental note to figure out a way to see through objects. "Whatever it is, it's likely been started by someone. Not a whole lot of stuff out here that would burn on it's own."
-
"Dark magic." The general spat. "Nothing good comes from Majo; that's all there ever is." Rhyder had other thoughts; in fact, the prince had studied about the Majo. As of now, there were three types. The first were arcane, those who manipulated the forces of nature such as fire and air. Second, the dark, raising the dead with vile and horrid practices, of which some required the use of blood; the very thought made him shudder. The last was the pure who used magic in its most refined form. Though it was the rarest to obtain, it was thought that pure magic could bind wounds and mend flesh, turn back time itself and so much more. However, the decline in magic was not without loss. Only bloodline Majo were able to use magic and only one kind, their family's. That was enough, the prince thought; there were more pressing matters ahead. "That's the camp, though you may be irked by the appearance once we go in." It seemed Rhyder had did much research, maybe too much.
-
"If there's dark, then there's light too." Riley said in a slightly annoyed tone. He was quite irritated with the general. Here he was slandering magic with a Majo standing right next to him. For a moment, he felt like giving the general a little shock, but that would like end with him in the sand with the generals boot on his back and a gun at his head. He wished he knew some stronger spells. If his father had lived a little longer, he would have learned to fully unlock his inner power, but the most he had now was enchantments and a few small spells, nothing impressive by Majo standards. Maybe he would find someone someday that could teach him how to fully take control of his powers."
-
Rhyder nodded in agreement. "They use their practice for the protection of themselves, making them hidden from outsiders, have a heart general." The older man scoffed at his joke. "I do, and it is stone cold, even in the desert heat your highness. May we get this over with without anymore delay?" So impatient... The prince thought. Perhaps they would not need to walk miles to the camp; as it turns out, they were coming to the group. A rattling came from behind them a few yards away, loud and eerie. The sun was nearly gone with only a sliver of light on the horizon; the carcass had awakened. The bones flung off of the stake, assembling themselves. Then, picking up the stake, it donned the cattle skull; the stake had its reason as well, a weapon for this creature. More rattling was about in the distance, the guardians of the Rajah had risen.
-
Riley heard a sound behind them. He turned, and saw a figure. It was to dark to see who it was from this distance, so he put on his goggles and zoomed in. What he saw made him gasp. "Uh, my lord... You were right about that cow thing... It's alive."
-
OOC: It would be better if I just named the general Tarsis, Sir Tarsis.
"Yes I know," He nodded, his back still to the pilot, "I'm looking at ten to twenty roaming the dunes behind us." Though in small numbers, the creatures did their job surprisingly well, able to survey many yards of sight; it was obvious when half of those were staring right in their direction. "Lay down your arms." Rhyder whispered to the members of the group. "Walk as if you have a purpose in being here, which we do. Walk as if you've known the desert like the back of your hand...and don't look at them." He explained quickly. "After staring into their eyes, you will be transfixed by their sockets as they walk toward you-" The general could not hear his lord's reply, for he had done it already. He grunted in effort as he tried to look away, but the empty holes in the creature's skull pulled him in, when, in fact, it was walking slowly towards them. It had only 2-3 yards distance apart before it would make contact. What it would do once it reached you was not discovered; those who'd written it never lived to finish their detail. "Sir Tarsis!" The prince replied in shock. Unfortunately, it was a bit too loud. The other creatures snapped their heads back a disturbing 360 degrees, their bodies vibrating with that eerie sound of rattling. Then, they came a walking.
-
Riley's gaze swept along the rows of the creatures that were approaching, making sure not to stare at any too long. Seeing the general caught in one of the thing's gaze, he quickly shielded the generals eyes with his hand and pulled him away from the creature, hoping to break his trance. "Uh, my Lord. You seem quite well knowledge in these... things. So, what do we do to keep from being killed?" He hoped the Prince had an answer, else... The corpses were likely bone dry (No pun intended) from all their time in the sun's heat during the day. It would only take a spark to quickly turn them to ask. He doubted however, that his gun would be able to light them, and even if it could, there were too many. He was afraid of what he would have to resort to. "My lord, please tell me you have an idea."
-
"I like your idea, but the temperature lowers drastically in the desert nights; a flame won't survive for more than a few seconds here." Rhyder thought quickly, but those got in the way of his reasoning. "Enough." A feminine voice calmed the beasts. The looked at her yet she returned the favor. Sensing the dark presence, they made a great moaning sound, not of anger, but of pleasure. They retreated back to their posts. Placing their stakes back in the ground they leapt up on their perches, vigilant and unmoving once more. Were the voice came from was the only question Rhyder had answered. "The escort..." He turned to the cloaked figure. The general seemed to have snapped out of his trance. Instinctively pushing O' Conner aside, he walked to the figure, weapon drawn.
-
Without thinking, jumped between the general and their escort. "Wait! She stopped the creatures. She's helping us." The last thing Riley wanted to happen was for anyone to get hurt.
-
Unfortunately, the gesture enraged Tarsis even more. "And why did she not do so before? Now get out of my way, or you'll end up like she will-in the palace dungeon!" "Tarsis!" Rhyder yelled at him for the first time. He looked back and tried to reason.
-
Riley stayed where he was. "I'm sure arresting our escort would be a great sign of trust towards the Ferau." He warned. He didn't mean for it to come out like that, but he was frustrated with the general.

(Faron Woods)Darkrai stepped out of the shadow of a tree"Greetings Sunl"he said

Rhyder snapped back at Tarsis, giving him a shock; he'd not been this angry in his entire life. The native Ferau looked at the young man and suppressed a laugh, but her purr could be heard. This one, he's different... She smiled at the thought. Removing her cowl, she sported her cat-like features. It was not her ears that caused the prince to halt his anger, but her hair. Snow white, it stood out and shined iridescently in the moonlight, a beautiful sight. He smiled as he saw this. "Welcome to Rajah's Garden, or as you humans call it Gerudo Desert." She held her hand out to Rhyder who took it politely as custom dictated. Tarsis, sensing the mood changed drastically, said nothing.
