  • "The Medeis? We will not be using this ship. His majesty has already hired a crew for our departure on the Principle." The general tried to dodge Riley's offer.

The prince shrugged it off, but had to reason with the pilot. "We are to go to the Ferau tribe in Gerudo Desert, for the sake that the travel time is much shorter." He explained. "A royal ship would signify that I am on board or another of high status, much better in a situation to make peace. Forgive me if you are to depart with us on the royal vessel."

  • "Oh," A bit of the excitement seemed to die from Riley's eyes. "Forgive me. I was not aware that you had already chosen a vessel. All the same, I'll do my best to pilot it." He didn't like the idea of departing with his ship. It meant a lot to him, and the possibility someone might discover how it ran scared him, which is why he kept the engine room under lock and key almost all the time. But there was nothing he could do about it now, and he wouldn't even think about turning down the Prince.

  • "Truly, I am sorry." He turned to shield his guilt. "We won't be gone for long." Rhyder left to board the ship with the general following behind, a smile lit his face. He had avoided this situation successfully. "Set sail for Gerudo Desert!" The general called to the crew who acted immediately.

  • Riley took a moment when he boarded to look over the ship. He had to admit, it was a fine vessel. It was much much larger then his one-man boat that he flew, and looked to be much more powerful. "She's quite the vessel." Riley said. "I'll make sure to take good care of her."

  • "See to it." The general grunted.

Rhyder took to the helm and scouted ahead. The deck was up on the tallest building in Hyrule, which made it easy to see the Gerudo Desert off in the distance. "Set sail!" He called out, which was Riley's cue to get to the wheel as the crew started up the engine.

  • Riley made his way to the wheel. "Alright big girl. Lets see what you have in you." He worked the controls like he knew them by heart, and soon the ship was rising over the city. Once they were clear, he brought the engines up to speed, and soon they were on their way. "I have to admit. This is one of the largest ships I've ever flown, but she handles like a dream."

  • The prince nodded his thanks to the compliment. "Made by the Gorons, forged in their fires." For the Gorons, many, many years of change did well for their kind. Famous for their sturdy, but light metals, they became the most reliable shipbuilders on the face of the world. It was also a benefit from the fact that their bodies were made of a hardened rock, their fists like hammers on the anvil. Not just ships, the Gorons have now spread out to many places to prepare other metal inventions. The ship was nearly over the town square. As people looked up, they waved their greetings and cheered for the people onboard. The town went back to its normal life after they left and were over Lake Hylia. "So, have you heard of the Ferau before?" Rhyder opened the discussion.

  • "Only bits and pieces," Riley responded. "Mostly that they look much like humans but have a few feline like features, like cat ears and tails on some. Oh yeah, I'm told never to call them 'kitty'." Riley was quite excited to meet a new race. The only other kind he has ever met was the Gorons, and often it was just to buy metal for his gadgets.

  • Rhyder smiled, his pilot was well informed. "There's a tribe of them right below us, if you didn't know. The Valpha tribe." He headed over to the side and saw Zora leaping out of the water to greet them, as well as other beings, their features much like the Zora, except for the feline ears and teeth.

  • Riley glanced over at Rhyder as he looked over. Despite his curiosity, he stayed at the wheel. "Maybe someday when I have time, I'll come out on my own and visit. I've been meaning to travel more, but often I get caught up in my work."

  • "If that is so, when we get back, I give you permission to go come back here." Rhyder was up on the bow, so it was obvious he would feel the heat of the desert before it washed over the others. "Drop anchor there." He told the crew, pointing to a spot on the cliff separating the lake from Gerudo Desert. The anchor was very much needed here; there were no ports to dock their vessel. The anchor was held by an iron bridge-like rope that served as their passage on and off. It was quite a useful tool.

  • Riley slowly brought the ship up along the cliff, careful about keeping a bit of distance from the rocks. Once they were in position, he slowed the ship till they came to a stop. "You much easier to fly then that cargo ship I flew a month back." He said to the ship. "It took her forever to turn. You however, quite nimble compared to most ships I've flown." Talking to the ship was something he picked up from his dad, that if he listened to the ship, then the ship would listen to him. He knew his dad meant to pay attention to how it flew, but he felt better connected when he actually spoke to the ship.

  • The principle docked successfully and soundly, docile to Riley's hand. "Excellent flying Riley." Rhyder smiled at him as the others got ready, packing before leaving via anchor.

  • After making sure everything was as it should be, Riley walked over to the anchor. "Excuse me my Lord, if I may. I was wondering if I have permission to accompany you, at least as long as you permit, or would you rather I stay aboard?" This was a rare opportunity, and sure, Rhyder said he would have permission to come later, but his curiosity was killing him.

  • "That is what I intended! You do not have to ask, c'mon." Rhyder gave another famous smile. The desert was the same as ever. Not much was there to blemish its sands except for one thing. A hooded figure stood below near the ships anchor, welcoming the passengers disembarking with a nod. The general walked to the prince to escort him off the vessel; the suspicious character did not bode well with him, though Rhyder sensed no danger.

  • TJ saw a airship and stood still,it was magnificent ,he saw people walk off it and just looked at the ship,he always wanted to be in the hylian army

  • Riley followed the two off the ship. He held up a hand to shield his face from the sand that was stirred up by the wind. He had only been to the desert once before, and that was to deliver some supplies to a small outpost near the edge of the desert. This is the farthest he had ever ventured into the sands. He glanced at the hooded figure with interest. He couldn't tell who, or what hid under the hood, but he felt no fear, only curiosity.
