It's About Time (Stream needs a mentor)

    Walks up looking skinny and underfed. Looks at the two cats standing there and freezes "pleas do not hurt me, I am Dapple and I was a kitty pet be for my two legs threw me out of there den!" Looks at paws and sighs "I am starving!" looks at "can you help me find some food or do you have some that I could eat?" looks at river dips paw in it and then looks back at stream.

    "I don't care," Stream replied shortly, her eyes cool. That dumb old kittypet could go wherever she wanted. Starve, for all she cared. "You can join the tribe or leave, but I can't help you any more than directing you. Our camp is that way," she said, pointing with her tail.

    "Fine," Stream said shortly, following in the trees. What on earth did a guard think he was doing training a future prey hunter? Oh well, it wasn't as though she would lose anything through entertaining him for a while.

    "Red is going to teach you how to hunt,in stead of hunting,you will learn the basics of fighting,do not argue with me because I can,by far beat you in battle."

    "I know enough about fighting and besides, I am to be a prey hunter," Stream protested, flaring up yet again. What was wrong with these cats? When the tom made his warning, she sneered. "You wouldn't attack a clanmate, not if you had any sense or honor anyway." Besides, she added in her mind. They say you can't kill what you can't catch.

    "Honey,is a moron,I ham not,if you like I will tell your affisial mentor a bad report,not to mention that your first agsighnment could be opening a bear trap."he said smugly

    Stream shrugged. "Report me all you want. I want nothing to do with traps of any kind. I don't see why we'd want it open if it were closed, unless a tribe member had died in one."

    He trotted off" I will not wast my time with you if you lack appritiation."he said heading for red flame that burns.

    "Then go to camp," Stream repeated, with much more force than previously. "What would you have me do? I'm not a leader. I can't do jack for you."
