The Australian Shepherd pup noticed nothing as she rested on her side, head turned upwards to watch the sun from just to the right of it. No need to disrespect the Sun Dog and get herself punished with blindness if she didn't have to, and anyways the red merle didn't feel like making an effort to sacrifice to the sun today in order to escape that punishment.

His cold, emotionless blue optics wandered a bit, landing on a small puppy that was laying out on the grass. Emotions returned to his eyes as he raised an invisible eyebrow to create a questioning look.
"...What the hell are you doing?" the apprentice finally asked out loud- he swore when he was younger, so he thought nothing of using the more crude words.

The puppy hadn't noticed the sound of any pawsteps during her near trance, worshipping the Sun Dog's power, and she didn't like it. Scrambling clumsily to her paws and almost tripping over her own toes in the process, the Australian Shepherd shrugged with a grin. "Just admiring the sun, mister! What're you doing?" She didn't really love swear words, they were just so down and depressing like the Moon Dog, but she supposed she could live with them. Tongue hanging slightly out of her mouth, Annalise tipped her head slightly and awaited a response.

"I was just learning the territory," he replied calmly, two half closed blue eyes focusing on the young pup as a look of unamusement filled them. "May I ask, why you were admiring the sun?"

The Sun Dog is obviously the better dog." She barked, grinning at him. The cat looked slightly exasperated with her, though Annalise couldn't imagine why - she was just commenting about the Sun Dog's greatness! It was alright to watch the Sun Dog in all his glory, right? Like his godliness could make one go blind, which was why she never looked directly at the sun, but sure she could watch. "So what's the territory like?"
