Another Midnight's Sleep day has ended . . . cats are now relaxing as the sun dips by the tall evergreen trees. Herbs are disappearing and the blizzard plot has begun . . .

Running Wolf gazed into the sunset. Ah, the wonders of Midnight's Sleep! Snow glistened as it twinkled into his eyes. The colors above his head seeped away to black. In the sky's entangled hair, small speckles lit up. Running Wolf slowly turned around, exhausted from hunting in the deep snow. Careful to not stir any snow, he raised his tail and planted his feet securely in the fresh snow. He finally made it to the camp and nodded to Bouncing Pebble.

Splash River checked the herbs one last time before letting out a sigh of satisfaction. The herbs were mysteriously disappearing ever since the moon was full. She padded out of the den with a small skip in her steps. Her muscles ached to run from being cramped in her den for such a long time.

Evergreen Bark returned from the hunting party. He looked at Rising Moon and Apple Chomp carrying prey proudly. His own catch was unsuccessful, Evergreen Bark thought as he remembered falling into the hole as the pesky rabbit fled easily. He smiled happily but was even more happy to meet his clanmates and talk about it.

In Characters: Wolfie embraced his beloved daughter. "Do you want to know how to do the hunter's crouch?"

Bouncing Pebble noticed Written Scrolls and heaved a sigh. He could tell from the body language that she was depressed. Slowly, he stood up. Creaking bones eased into place as he stacked his bones into an erect poise. Finally, he forced his ancient limbs to carry him towards the she-cat.
"Hey," he rasped. "Beautiful snow we got here."

Splish River greeted Fleeing Seal as she went up to Caesar. "The herbs," she began in a low whisper. "It's still disappearing."

"So we first start off with balance distributively evenly to all feet." He stooped into a position where his belly was almost brushing he ground and his tail was straight and still. "Be in this crouching position and be as low as possible. Don't move your tail too." Wolfie continued to stay in the Hunter's Crouch. "Now you try."

"Yes," as Splish River grimly reported. "Especially the catmint. Seems like some cats are desperate out there."

"The tail,"" Wolfie gently reminded, still in the familiar Hunter's Crouch position. "Now you see the stray twice over there?" Once the little kit corrected her crouch, Wolfie pointed his muzzle towards the rotting brown stick. The camp was covered in snow though thick trees encircled the dens. The white frost forced the vulnerable stick to stand out with its dark colors.

Bouncing Pebble shrugged. He gave his all but the she-cat wouldn't budge. His effort was all wasted on this. Slowly, he heaved back to the den. Suddenly, he felt a cat help him. Evergreen Bark was helping him back to the den. "Thanks Ev'rgreen Bark." The quiet tom smiled.

In Characters: Splish River followed Moonlight with her diamonds. "There must be a civilization of cats living outside if they are so desperate for this . . . this catnip. I shall ask one of our clanmates to unravel the mystery."

Wolfie nodded. "Why not?"

Evergreen Bark finally returned the elder back to his place. He bid the old cat farewell and prepared to turn to the direction of his nest but he promptly bumped into Ceasar and Splish River.
"Oh! I am sorry! I have interrupted the two of you." Evergreen Bark apologized, dipping his head.
"Oh, no don't worry. We have been discussing about the missing herbs, that's all. No big sorry!" Splish River flicked her tail. She was startled at the accident, causing her to leap to her nimble feet. Now, she sat on her haunches, resetting her tail into a comfortable poise.

In Characters: Bouncing Pebble reclined in the sunlight that penetrated through the thick canopy. His muscles relaxed as let out a sigh. The breath puffed became a warm cloud of vapor as it condensed on his pink nose. Slowly, he turned onto his side. His solid colored coat of soft gray reflected a little light when the sunlight hit it. His once sharp turquoise scanned the camp as his mind was emptying to nothing like a soaked ball of moss being scrunched, water trickling out if it. At the thought of moss, elders, and water, he smiled at the memory of when he was only an apprentice. He accidentally gave wet moss to Dangling Spider. Oh Dangling Spider sure got the best of him when he scolded the apprentice for Bouncing Pebble's mistake. now it's my turn to get mad at them apprentices. but currently, there are no apprentices.
