8. If you're going to be inactive for a while, please PM me or tell me in the thread that you're going to be inactive. If you're inactive for a week or two without telling me, I'll put your character up for adoption. If you have a high position and are inactive without telling me, or inactive and tell me, either way, I will put a temp up. If you don't tell me you're going to be inactive when you have a high position, I will also put your character up for adoption after a week. I understand that you may have something unexpected going on, like lots of homework or something similar, so I will give you a week or two. :)

This Clan is based off a parliamentary government. There is a king and queen. The offspring of the king and queen are forced to marry what their parents decide. All of the offspring of the king and queen will be required to marry the opposite gender of a cat that they pick, but only one child born between the two will become the next king and queen, and so on. The queen decides who marries their son(s), and the king decides who marries their daughter(s). The cats may not necessarily be in love, they were just forced to marry each other to keep the government going. There is also a council of 5 cats, who are the eldest and a Prime Minister, the ultimate rank. Keep in mind, The Prime Minister is forbidden to take a mate or kits, and will be killed instantly if anyone finds out. If the apprentice of the Prime Minister is not ready to be Minister at the current point, the king will take over and the queen will marry a cat of her choice in the Clan. The Prime Minister can be male or female, and they have an apprentice who will be the next Prime Minister. The Prime Minister and council guide the queen and king along. Duchesses and Dukes and Knights and Jesters are also along with them. Duchesses and Dukes are the offspring of the queen and king who were not elected to be the new queen and king. The cat who is marrying the Duchess (the king's choice) will become a Duke, and vice versa for Dukes. Knights are the warriors of the Clan, the fighters. They rarely hunt. The Prime Knight is in charge of arranging the border patrols for the day. The Knights chosen for the patrol will march in an orderly manner, forbidden to talk unless there is trouble among the border or in the territory. A Jester is the comical kind of cat. They always make everyone laugh, and must entertain the king and queen. If they don't (they have three tries), they will be killed. Any cat not of royal blood directly from the queen or king will be trained to become a Knight or Jester by a Knight or Jester in the Clan. Any "low-bloods" who are not related to any royalty at all (such as former loners/rogues will be the servants of all the cats in the Clan, but they are still allowed to be married with a cat of their choice and have kits.

Prime Minister - Medicine Cat and ultimate leader of the Clan; guides king and queen along; makes final decisions on laws and such; forbidden to have a mate and/or kits; final suffix is always "moon"
Prime Council - Minister's council
Prime Minister Apprentice - Medicine Cat apprentice; Has a bit of a say in laws; helps make final decisions; helps guide king and queen along; forbidden to have a mate and/or kits; must be 10 moons old; final suffix is always "moon"
King - ruler of the Clan; final suffix is always "star"
Queen - Secondary ruler of the Clan; final suffix is always "star"
Prince/Princess - Offspring of the king and queen chosen to lead the next royal blood family and lead the Clan; when the prince/princess marries their approved mate, they have 12 moons until the queen and king retire and they become the next rulers; the prince/princess MUST be 12 moons to marry; Prime Minister chooses suffix
Duke/Duchess - Offspring of the king and queen not chosen to lead the Clan; king and queen still decide who they marry; male - king chooses suffix, female - queen chooses suffix
Prime Knight - ultimate leader of the knights; organizes patrols; sort of like a deputy; hunts often; suffix is chosen by the queen when they are named a knight, and the new suffix is chosen by the king when they are named Prime Knight
Knight - Warrior and protector; rarely hunts; suffix is chosen by the queen
Jester - comical cats in which their one goal is to make others laugh; if they don't humor the king and queen properly, they are sent to death; suffix is chosen by the king

Apprentice - jesters or knights in training; suffix ends in 'paw'
Young - Kits; suffix ends in 'kit'
Servants - Hunts often, serves other cats
Religion: There is a different dimension where the dead cats go. They'll always be with us, roaming around us, and they can make their own spirits vibrate more frequently so we can see them. The cats in the stars will be the greatest heroes and every King, Queen, Prime Knight, and Prime Minister of the Clan that has ever been. But of course, the cats in the stars can come down any time to visit the living cats in the camp, or visit their lower-rank friends and family. Every full moon, the cats in the stars and the cats in the second dimension will meet with the Prime Minister and Prime Minister apprentice of the Clan to discuss things between them all.
