Smoothpaw padded into a small clearing and said, " are we going to hunt seprate or togethor?" it was raining and they decided to go out hunting.

"We'll catch more separate." Oakpaw meowed. Typical Oakpaw, always looking out for the Clan first.
-
Smoothpaw felt a pang of sorrow. " OK. we'll meet up back here." she said. Typical Smoothpaw, FINALLY getting a little close to someone.
-
"Mkay." Oakpaw meowed before he stalked off into the brush. Once he was a good distance away from Smoothpaw, he scented the air for prey.
-
Smoothpaw hung her head. then she heard a scurry under one of the trees. she went into a hunter's crouch.
-
Oakpaw froze as he heard a scuttling sound in the tall grass. A vole! he thought happily, sinking down. He stalked slowly toward it, careful not to brush against anything that would give him away. Once he was within striking distance, the apprentice pounced, pinning the vole down. He dispatched it with a quick blow to the head, and buried it to retrieve later.
-
Smoothpaw pounced. she caught it, but just barely. she killed it and gave silent thanks to starclan. she burried it and padded on quietly. she didn't come to hunt, but to relax and think.
-
Oakpaw scented the air for more prey, and flicked his tail in satisfaction as he noticed a thrush pecking around in the brush. (Lol, rhyme.) He pounced, snagging one of the bird's wings with the tips of his claws. He bit it's tail to keep it from getting away, and dispatched it quickly.
-
Smoothpaw saw a squirrel high in a tree. she padded on. when she saw a sparrow she stopped, droped and pounced. she killed it and padded on.
-
Satisfied that he had enough prey for now, Oakpaw picked up his thrush and vole and padded back to the clearing. He sat down in the middle of it and waited for Smoothpaw.
-
Smoothpaw caught one more mouse and padded to the small clearing. she jumped whan she saw how quick he was in comming back.
-
Oakpaw stood up once he saw Smoothpaw return. "Ready to head back to camp? Or do you want to hang out here for a while?"
-
Smoothpaw thought for a moment. " surprisingly, i want to stay here." she said when she dropped her prey. " but if you want to go back, then you can just go on ahead." she said.
-
"I'll stay here with you." Oakpaw meowed. "Let's just put our prey somewhere dry so that it doesn't get all soggy." He got back up with his catch and put them underneath some leafy ferns.
-
Smoothpaw smiled at him and put her prey next to his. " i know a good place to go. i found it when i was wandering a few weeks ago." she said she padded into the ferns and disappeared.
-
Oakpaw followed her, wondering what this place could be.
-
Smoothpaw padded toward sunningrocks then veered right. she hoped over a small, unnoticeable thorn barrier and into a fairly sized clearing. she padded to the center of the clearing and said, "tadda! "
-
Oakpaw padded after Smoothpaw into the clearing. "Nice." he meowed, sitting down in the wet grass.
-
Smoothpaw smiled. " when i didn't have any friends i built this. and i need to restock my OWN fresh-kill pile." she said looking at the rotten and moist prey.
-
Oakpaw frowned. "The clan has to be fed first." he meowed.
