Misaki felt the presence of a nearby wolf. Female. Young. Alone. The white and white wolf slinked through the shadows and moved quietly until she reached the she-wolf. "What do we have here?" The older she-wolf snarled. Her long white and red fur stood up, bristling. "あなたは誰です?!" She growled, she blinked and quickly corrected herself. "Who are you?!" Well... Being a japanese-speaking wolf wasn't the best in a situation like this.

Leithia sank to her belly. "I I'm Leithia." She answered.

"何？" Misa demanded. "What are you doing alone? You should be with a pack! It's very... Um... 危ない... Dangerous I think. Anyways, you can't stay out here alone! A hunter should just come and shoot you!" Misaki growled, her long curved claws ripping into the ground.

"Oh, you've never heard of lone wolves?" Leithia said, though she knew she was vulnerable. Hungry too.

"勿論! Well of course! But in this season? Hunting season is 残酷な! Very cruel! Human hunters have set traps! Traveling alone? It's like suicide." Misaki shook her head. The wolf twitched her delicately shaped ears.

"Well, what else am I supposed to do?" Leithia asked. "It's not like I can waltz up and join any pack I'd like."

"それはそうでしょうか？You smell like you've been around other wolves for a while. Left your pack have you? Hmmm? 私は正しいですか? Am I right?" The Japanese wolf circled Leithia watching with hardened amber eyes.

Leithia rose to a standing position, her legs slightly bent. She turned, keeping her yellow eyes on Misaki. "Maybe I have."

"Hmm. 私はそれを知っていた! I knew it. Tell me. What do you plan to do after I leave. 周りにさまよう？ Hang around? You'll get killed." Misa barked with a hint of amusement in her deep voice.

Leithia didn't know what to say. She fumbled for words. "I can take care of myself."

"何？You already look like you're half-starved." Misa chucked, "Look 子ども, you can stick with me if you want. I'll make sure we all have food and shelter. If you want though... You can still hang out here."
