• I've never seen A Skyrim roleplay, so I shall make one.

    Alduin the world eater, is back. And he's planning on taking over again. No dragon born is left. The only way is to group up with the fighters named in the prophecy

    Fighters
    1.cyalar (my oc)
    2.Praxiphanes
    3.shadow
    4.Linis Willowdale
    5.Draco

    Rules

    When you make your oc do not make him/her a leader of any group. He/she can be apart of a group. No dragonborn abilities aloud. And nothing to overpowering. Vampires and werewolves are aloud, but no vampire lords. If there is any npc's that are needed in the story, please let me know what npc it is before controlling him/her

    My oc
    Name:cyalar
    Race:kahjiit
    Appearance: her fur is orange with black Bengal stripes in her fur. Her eyes are orange due to her being infected with vampirism. And she wears a full set of leather armor except she doesn't have a helmet, instead she wears a silver moonstone crown. And she has a amulet of Mara necklace.
    History: She used to be apart of a small kahjiit caravan. Until one of the members turned and killed the rest of the group. This traitor was turned into a vampire. Killed the group and left cyalar alive, but badly wounded. Cyalar only lasted a few hours before dying, then she awoke with a taste of blood, and enhanced senses. She also felt cold. Very cold. She was infected, and she tasted for blood. Not knowing how to handle this she seeker helped from many cities, but each one shunned her and put a high bounty on her head for the creature she had become. Soon she hid in the northern mountain region hiding from any bounty hunters or anyone in particular. She felt alone...she was alone, on the snowy and bitter cold mountain. She learned to use her claws, her bow, and her elven daggers that she had gotten from her mother. She hunted animals for blood, and sometimes wondering people. She soon adapted to this new life of hers. She didn't like it, but this is what fate gave her.
    Personality: she doesn't conversation much, and relies only on her instincts and her blades. She feels Lonely and only wishes to have acquaintances, maybe even more.
    Other: she specializes in stealth, daggers, archery and frost, alteration magic.

    To sign up use this layout I have used for my oc. If anyone has questions about the roleplay feel free to ask in the comments below.

    When you start, you can start anywhere throughout skyrim. It doesn't matter to me where, as long as it is in skyrim.

    name; Praxiphanes
    Πραξιφάνες
    Apocrypha's Lost
    "Tentacle-Face"

    race; Daedra --> Seeker
    gender; agender, masculine identity

    appearance;
    Effects of prolonged exposure outside of Apocrypha showing advanced decay, thinner body, malnutrition and jutting ribs. Sounds are harsher, speech like clay, dull noise and whispering easiest methods of communication in current state. Rotten smell, like dead fish, emanating from body. One pair of eyes is no longer functional. Much pain, dulled down using herbal remedy and small healing spells. Took only two potion capsules on Nirn, need to find better supply. Another thing; Need to find warmer robes, temperature dropping, becoming irratic, numbing - not sure if good thing or bad. Inefficient body, inefficient senses, but found Orsimer-blade amongst trapper's cabin. That will do.

    Current Status; I am alive.
    Estimated Time to Perish; 4 Seasons.

    personality;
    Desperate times call for desperate measures. Praxiphanes knows this, and yet he doesn't wish to acknowledge it. Humanity is an apathetic creation of a side most different than himself, and he has learned the ramifications of being in their presence - even if it were out of his hands to begin with. He is an inherently wrong individual in the Mortal Plane, a visitor who has been stranded and is slowly languishing until he either drops dead or can find the means to get back home. What else can he be but a little cynical? Like most of his kind he harbors a deep interest in knowledge and the acquiring of it, and despite his superior-than-thou mannerisms will not hold hostilities - unlike the majority of his brethren. His goal is a three step process; Exterminate his ex-summoner and controller, reclaim his Black Book to return to the Draedic Prince Hermaeus Mora, and re-enter Apocrypha to become whole once again and regain strength.

    history;
    A member of the Brood Hermaeus Mora, and thus his allegiance is to him. He is a disciple and practitioner of the Forbidden Arts, a heavy scholar since birth. Rightly so, he earned and ascended to the rank of High Seeker, and chose to dwell in Apocrypha to guard one of the seven Black Books, away from the Mortal Plane and thus sealing the entrance to that appropriate kingdom. Several centuries past, his interactions with humanity were thankfully restricted by the few champions who managed to walk into the supernatural realm, or the spirits forever bound to seeking knowledge that could be found within the libraries of Apocrypha's halls. He learned enough to avoid them.

    At somepoint in the current era, a Dunmer summoner and Dragonborn was able to wrest from the Daedric realms a single Black Book, and read the contents within. He learned to conjure Seekers, and in doing so he summoned Praxiphanes to the Mortal Plane, specifically to Skyrim, where he stole Praxiphane's Black Book and soon fled while the Seeker was stunned by the sudden transportation. Praxiphanes's summoning was severed, but due to his book being stolen, he was unable to return. Furthermore, the alien air and environment weakened and began to take its toll on him, and if he were to stay on the Mortal Plane he would soon be whittled away to ash. Now the Seeker is stuck within Tamriel, ever searching for his Black Book, his only key to returning to where he belongs and his only means of healing. His search, as well as the ominous threat of Alduin's return, has brought him to the furthest reaches of Skyrim, to the mountains. What fate has something in store for him there he does not know...

    █

    other;
    Praxiphanes holds the regular abilities of a Seeker, though it has been severely weakened due to the symptoms of prolonged stay in Tamriel. He can move through walls and become a black mist, which allows him fast travel. When not in this form he moves very slowly, almost sluggishly, but he must be in a normal form to use his forbidden magics. Praxiphanes's limited magic involves a weaker Seeker Drain, the abilitiy to use magic as a light/heat source, telepathic speech, and other small abilities/effects.

    He carries an Orsimer-made hunting knife, a ragged cloak over his back and two small healing potions, which he has to take in order to numb the pain of his slow deterioration.

  • Hopefully it can get a signal boost too. We should make an ad for it in the Video Games forums, with a link and such to draw attention. That's just a suggestion of course. Not actually sure if the forum will allow it, though I've seen some topics serving as ads for other rpgs.

    Also, on a relevant note, aaah I'm excited for this rp to start. How many more people do we need before we can begin?

  • Name:Shadow
    Race:kahjiit
    gender: Female
    Appearance: her fur is pitch black with grey tiger stripes and red war paint. she always wears her robes of quickening which slightly increases the speed in which her magicka is restored, a ring of minor health, a necklace of minor restoration and a gold sapphire circlet of alteration. she has vampire boots she looted from an ash pile she'd found and carries with her a necklace of talos just incase she needs to make a prayer.
    History: She's simply a thief from whitetrun that lived a life of silence and theft.
    Personality: she doesn't converse unless she needs to but will speak her mind when it needs to be spoken. she is short tempered and always has her dagger at stranger's throats.
    Other: she's a thief, and a very good one to.

  • Also shadow is approved, as well as the deadra

    Also I don't want to risk the adds of this rp on the gaming thread. But please if you guys have friends try suggesting them to this rp, it would be much appreciated.

  • Name: Linis Willowdale

    Race: Bosmer

    Gender: Male

    Appearance: Linis is tall when compared to most other Bosmer, though in reality he could be considered rather short, especially when compared to the Nords of Skyrim. He's got a build that can only really be described as "scrawny"; thin, and with hardly any muscle to speak of (there's a reason he's never used anything but a bow). He has light brown skin as is typical for most Bosmer. He has unruly black hair, sticking up in all directions, and tries to keep clean-shaven most of the time. His eyes are slanted and nearly completely black; overall, he appears generally average for a Bosmer.

    History: His family has owned a far up in the mountains near Bruma in Cyrodiil since his great-great-grandparents, growing wheat, mostly, though it was difficult to trade since the Imperial City was a good deal away from the farm. His father decided to sell the farm and move his family, which just Linis and his parents, to Skyrim, where his father figured trading would be easier. They moved near Whiterun, and the farm's been there ever since. Linis' parents passed away not too long after, leaving him to run the farm. Unable to produce enough income to maintain it, Linis sold the farm for a good sum of money and has been staying in the Whiterun Inn, doing small jobs for people in order to earn enough money to buy a house or maybe move to a different town.
    Shortly after moving to Skyrim, he started training with different weapons, figuring he might need it some day. He discovered quickly that he was bad with essentially every weapon besides a bow, though he did try magic out and loved it. He applied for the College of Winterhold, but was turned away, as his skill with magic was shaky at best. Someday he still wants to go to the College, but doesn't have the money to make a trip there and back as of yet, considering he has to pay nightly for his room in the Inn.

    Personality: Linis is generally light-hearted and sincere, maintaining that as long as people are nice to him, he'll be nice to them. Heck, even if they aren't nice to them he'll still try to be nice to them. Hostility doesn't solve anything, though all of Skyrim seems to think otherwise. He doubts his attitude will make much of a difference, but he doesn't plan on changing the way he is anytime soon. He's not very good in social situations, though he makes an attempt, and if you get him talking about something he's interested in he'll just about talk your ear off. He tends to stutter when he's embarrassed or when he's put on the spot, which is why he tends to avoid the spotlight at all costs.
    He's next to useless in a fight, though he's working on getting better at that. He'd rather pick off enemies from the sidelines using his bow, though his training with that is mostly a work in progress. Though Linis isn't that great at making friends (or, rather, keeping them), when he does form a close bond with someone he greatly treasures it, as he values loyalty immensely. Linis isn't comfortable with breaking the law, at least not him doing it directly. If a friend asks him to he will with some hesitation, though why anyone would ask him is a mystery. He's rubbish at sneaking, and his hands shake whenever he does try to do something illegal, making him an easy target to catch. He wears leather armor, since he felt the need to protect himself but also gets weighed down too much by heavy armor.

    Other: Is actually very athletic, a quick runner and an excellent climber, though that doesn't do much for him in combat. Unless that combat involves running away, in which case he's your man for the job. Is rather young for a Bosmer, and enjoys reading in his spare time.

  • Alright. I'll try to see if I can find anybody, though I have to say, since I am pretty new to this forum in particular it won't be an easy feat.

  • Awesome, I mean it's cool to meet another person who's also new. I have to say this is a great first thread idea too. I don't see many Skyrim Rps on the forums here...

  • It's surprising there are so few, considering how many possibilities there are with Skyrim, and even more once you take the entire universe of TES into account.
    I've been on the forums for a while but just barely got back from a hiatus that lasted several months, so I don't really know anyone on here anymore who could join. I could put a link in my signature, maybe, but I'm not sure what else I could do to promote the thread :T

  • Ya, I agree this should be popular. Specially with the mound of endless things that could happen in skyrim.

    Also I just realized it's all girls so far :D

  • Definitely agreeing with what Pandorica's saying. Skyrim is a vast setting, along with the entirety of Tamriel. The signature idea would hopefully help. I'm not sure what I can do to help along; The only thing I can think of is bumping the topic up. Thankfully it hasn't died so we don't have to do that.

    Haha, that's true. Just noticed that now too. XD

  • Ok I have an idea, since each of our characters are supposed to meet up (due to fate, and later on we find out it's in the prophecy) I think we should start it now. If we do it might show what this roleplay is capable of. Any objections?

  • Works for me. Anyone who happens to join late should be able to hop in without too much of a problem, if anyone else does join.

  • Sounds like a good deal to me. Let's get this show on the road.
