Flickerkit grinned. The younger kit used his smaller size to his advantage, deciding to be a fox. He darted forward, aiming for Littlekit.

  • Nettlespring slowed the pace, tasting the air continually and glancing at Sparrowpelt when she asked if she could help. "I got it. We're nearly done anyways." He said with a curt wave of his tail, shivering at a gust of wind from the western border.

Littlekit ran at Eaglekit when he pinned down Fawnkit, about to try knocking him off and away from Fawnkit when Flickerkit came at her. She spun around and aimed to cuff him by the ear and hopefully take him off balance.

Frozenstar waved her tail for silence a moment when Puddledrop opened her mouth to speak, fixating a hard gaze on both medicine cats. "No, I haven't told Iceclaw, but I will, obviously. This is my decision, not yours." She said.

Flickerkit rolled with the cuff, giving himself momentum. He leapt at her, grinning like a madman. He was extatic that he had friends to play with.

  • Littlekit squeaked and scrambled to get out of his way, and did so very narrowly. She fell on her side in the process, then darted forward, aiming to trip him up by his forepaws.

  • "Looks like it anyway." Sparrowpelt smiled apologetically. "Sorry if I haven't been a help...Clanning's new to me. Come to think of it, what do you eat around here? I'm accustomed to mice," She explained, this having being her first time living in the wilderness.

  • Lilacpetal sighed, hesitantly nodding. Frozenstar was right, it was her decision, no matter how she or Puddledrop felt on the subject. "Yes, Frozenstar. Do you know where you will go?" She asked, concerned for the leader.

Fawnkit wiggled, eventually getting herself in a position where she could kick at Eaglekit's stomach, managing to push him off. As Eaglekit stepped back from Fawnkit, he batted at her flank as she stood. Fawnkit then retaliated by batting at his ear.

  • "No, it's fine. At least neither of you are complaining." Nettlespring said, amusement evident in his tone. "We eat what we can catch, which could be mice, rabbits, hares, squirrels, thrush, and if you were to go out onto the tundra out of our territory, there's lemmings and voles. I personally prefer fishing in the river that forms our eastern border." He said.

"I'm going to go west, out onto the tundra, maybe then head north from there. I don't think I'll be returning." Frozenstar said, her eyes blank as she spoke. "I'm proud to have built this Clan and to have led it for so long, and I don't regret it either, but it isn't right anymore. I'm not who I thought I was." She said, dipping her head slightly.

  • "Whoa! You don't get to hear those names every day." Sparrowpelt shook her gray pelt. "Er, not to be daft, but, what are they again?" She asked the tom, feeling awkward.

  • "Which ones? All of them?" Nettlespring said, twitching his ears and angling them sideways as he tried to think of some descriptions for these animals. It would probably be easier just to show Viperstrike and Sparrowpelt the prey rather than explain it.

  • "I know what rabbits are, as well as squirrels and thrush." Sparrowpelt mewed, and catching his expression, flicked her ears. "Seeing that warriors come back with a lot of fresh kill, you could name them for me." She offered. Viperstrike listened curiously, and he had a puzzled expression as well.

  • Lilacpetal nodded, still absorbing anything. She couldn't imagine the clan without Frozenstar, as Frozenstar had built the clan when she had been so young and was the only leader EquinoxClan had seen so far. "I hope you have a safe journey...And a happy life," she added, almost stumbling over her words. She really did wish Frozenstar the best. "When will you talk to Iceclaw?"

  • Littlekit squeaked and scrambled to get out of his way, and did so very narrowly. She fell on her side in the process, then darted forward, aiming to trip him up by his forepaws.

Flickerkit stumbled, nearly falling, but he seemed to have excellent balance even though he was still young. He growled playfully.

Dustpaw watched the kits play, having been given nothing else to do.

  • Nettlespring curled his lip slightly, shifting on his paws and turning to start heading back to camp now that they were close to their border with ChristmasClan. "Yea, I guess it would be easier just to show you instead of trying to describe them." He said sheepishly.

"If he hasn't left camp yet, I'll speak to him now, or if he hasn't gotten far." Frozenstar said, feeling the smallest bit of hesitation and depression mixing inside of her. She couldn't do it anymore. "This Clan will be in safe paws, and you both know it." She said softly, walking over to the entrance of her den and starting to head out.

Puddledrop felt at a loss, her head hanging and the images from her own omen flooding over her again. She'd seen this, at least a sliver of it. "May StarClan guide your path, wherever it goes, Frozenstar." She said, holding back her biting words toward her leader. She'd had rough spots with Frozenstar in the past, but she had respected the she-cat, and to hear that, not because of death but because of what was lost, she was leaving them, it pained her. She touched her tail tip to Lilacpetal's to signal for her apprentice to follow her out.

Littlekit bared her tiny teeth in a mock threat, running in circles around Flickerkit before attempting to barrel into his side and pin him down.

Flickerkit squeaked as he felt her crash into his side. He rolled around in a bundle of legs and fur with Littlekit, until she had him pinned.

  • Littlekit stuck her tongue out playfully, leaping off of Flickerkit again only to circle him, waiting for the moment to pin him down again.

Frozenstar padded out of her den, skimming the clearing with a heavy heart and padding down from the den. She stopped at the base to survey the camp again, fluffing out her pelt and feeling rain start to spatter down on them. She looked up and saw dark clouds blockade the sun, bringing in the rain and a distant clap of thunder.

  • Sparrowpelt's ears flattened as the familiar sound of thunder roared in the distance. A faint misty smell of the scent of rain followed the darkening of the once pure white clouds. The she cat had been so caught up, she hadn't noticed. "Mouse dung," Viperstrike hissed from her side.

Flickerkit heard the thunder, and jumped. He looked up, suddenly noticing how much darker it was.

  • (Its's okay, Raven!)

    Poppy !
The she-cat nodded excitedly when Iceclaw asked her if she was ready to see the territory. It always excited Poppy to explore new places, especially the forest. As a kit, her mother told her it was dangerous but she always felt like she belonged there. Now, she would be able to. When he asked if it'd be okay if Shallowpaw could join, she nodded. "Of course!"

    Ruesong !
The dark she-cat stood behind Poppy, yawing softly. She was still a bit tired from last night but Ruesong knew she had enough energy to go on. Besides, she was interested to seeing how Poppy would react to the forest.
