You've wandered too far, stranger. You are on the edge of the Departed Souls' territory. Oh, you wish to join? Fine, then, but don't say I didn't warn you...
█ █ █ █
We've arrived in the territory. As you can see, everything is dark, and grim. Don't worry- the members are worse. The hotspots of our territory are the Pit of Soul Sand, the Crater, camp, the Tree of Departing, and the Vines. Follow me to the Pit of Soul Sand.
We've arrived. As you can see, it's a misty, swirling vortex of eerie sand. Well, to make you feel better- it's for executions. You see, any offense to me, authority, or law, does not result in exile, nor banishment- they're the same thing, really. It results in execution. Though minor breaks in our code , including inactivity, only result in demotion. Watch your step, kid, or you'll be taking a ride down into a one-way exit from the Overworld, and don't think the Departed will accept an unworthy little squirt like you. No, not until you have proven yourself- until then, you're rat scum.
Here's the Crater. Just as the name describes- a giant pit in the ground, caused by a demonic rock, launched at us to save us from the angel spirits. We now use it for pit battles, where one or both animals are injected with Grimphobiastic- oh, you'll more hear about it later from the Witch. She heals your wounds. The Grimphobiastic strains their body to the end, which results in extreme murderous reactions, and a drain of real thoughts, opinions, or any sort of intelligence. Any 'winners' are locked away, trained by professionals to attack only the enemy. They make for good mindless weapons.
Here's Camp. This is where you'll be staying. All creatures that are initiated into Departing Souls live here. The ranks are, in the order lowest to highest-
Soul sacrifice. They are the cats that will be executed. All executions are a sacrifice. Cats that have disobeyed laws or authorities, cats that have different beliefs or speak out against something, or cats that have been found or captured are qualified as sacrifices. Also, if there are no sacrifices on the full moon, one will be either captured, or a regular member will be sacrificed. Of course, not one with potential- couldn't do that, could we? Anyway, they are the absolute lowest cats- as you pass one, it is customary to give them a strong, blood-drawing bite on the paw pad to signify your worth and their lowliness. They are kept in special prisons until a qualified authority comes to take them with a metal chain to their doom in the soul sand. Only some have access to the special sacrifice prison. They have absolutely NO freedom, and are fed once a week.
Prisoners. They are kept in the Vines, which we have yet to arrive. Only few are sacrificed, the rest are kept in prisons. Everyone has access to the Prisons, though you may not open cages unless you are an authority or semi-authority, who may go to the Prisons to choose their Plaything. They have no personal freedom, are fed once every three days, and never come out of their cage. I'll tell you about Playthings now.
Playthings. They are higher than Prisoners, but still qualified as lower than a regular member. Only authorities and semi-authorities are allowed to have Playthings. If you are an authority or semi-authority, you may have as many playthings as you want- just don't clear out the Prisons in the Vines. Now, if you own a Plaything, you may do WHATEVER you want with it- it is a creature of absolutely no worth, merely property. You may breed them with other Playthings, if you have the permission of the Plaything's owner. You may r.pe them, bury them alive, even EAT them. Anything you would like to do to your Plaything, as long as you are an authority! (you must have the Plaything's roleplayer's permission first, though! If you roleplay a Plaything, you can't decline EVERYTHING, just things you really don't want to happen to your cat.) Also, Playthings are kept in cages in the owner's den, or dragged around on ropes. No personal freedom whatsoever is given to them, and they are fed whenever the owner feels the desire to feed them.
Scummies. Well, Scummies are an interesting topic. If an authority has the desire to mate with a prisoner or Plaything out of real love, not r.pe, the Prisoner or Plaything gets promoted slightly, to a Scummy. Scummies have more freedom- though they are still lower than regular members, they may wander around camp and the territory, attend meetings, and will be healed if harmed harshly. It is any low creature's dream to become a Scummy. They may eat when they want, but may not eat more than three pieces of bloodfurs each day. (bloodfurs is the same thing a freshkill)
Child. A child is merely a cat or other creature of three moons or under. They are not to be ordered, attacked, or sacrificed (child sacrifice results in execution for the executioner). The moment they are a three-moon-old, they join the souls.
Non-graduate. They are considered normal members, but may be disrespected by anyone except low-ranks. They are creatures who have not passed the initiation, or have flunked out of training, and may join back into cadet training at any time they wish. (the initiation is roleplayed out, so you may not pretend your cadet has passed. the initiation includes an obstacle course, speed timing, battle challenge, and wit challenge.)
Cadet. A cadet is also called a trainee. They have the same rights as souls, but must call their mentor sir or ma'am.
Authority Cadet. Authority cadets are being trained for a specific rank. They must have a Trainer for their mentor. Only authority-born children may become cadets, unless an amazing act of worthiness is performed during childhood or cadethood of a normal-born creature. Any authority cadet born to a leader and being trained to be leader must go trough and graduate both authority training an professional training.
Professional cadet. These cadets are trained by Professors, Professor Trainers, or Witches. They are trained scientific theory, classification, are required to go to optional classes for souls or cadets, learn any and all types of math, are trained every herb and their healing powers, learn the powers of supernatural minerals, liquids, and other materials, and are considered the most intelligent cadets in Departed Souls. Only the son/daughter of an authority may become a professional cadet.
Soul. A soul is a regular member who has gone through training. They may eat when they wish, and have average freedom- they may not disobey a direct order or go into no trespass zones, such as the special sacrifice prison. Bedtime is at the break of dawn- you need to be in bed by then, but you are not required to sleep. Souls train cadets, and if they are found to be amazing at it, they may be promoted to Trainer.
Trainer. Trainers train Authority cadets all about being an authority of their parent's choice.
Child-bearer. A Child-bearer is merely a soul who is expecting little ones. A low rank is promoted to a Low-blood bearer if she becomes pregnant, and is not treated with the same respect a child bearer is treated with. Child-bearers are demoted back to souls the moment their children are old enough to join the souls. They are not to be ordered, attacked, or sacrificed. If they had been r.ped by enemy to become a child-bearer, they are to be promoted instead of demoted at the end of the Children's weaning.
Visionary. A visionary creates weapons and armor out of stolen or found twoleg things. They give their weapons to Assassins and their armor to Soldiers.
Guard. Guards guard the territory, camp, and anywhere else. They must follow every order and address every higher authority by the title of ma'am or sir. They may not go into no tresspass zones unless given permission.
Soldier. A soldier is specially trained by authority trainers in fighting technique and discipline. They follow the orders of the warmaster, and keep all opinions to themselves. They must call any higher authority 'sir', especially warmasters.
General. Generals follow out orders from the warmaster, and orders Soldiers. They are demoted to Soldiers once the warmaster dies or retires, and are replaced with new Generals the new warmaster trusts.
Assassin. An assassin can sneak through enemy clans without being detected and easily kill whoever they were sent to kill. They are very trusted throughout Departed Souls, and may be sent to kill anyone in an enemy clan. The third time an assassin fails at killing the selected cat, they are to be demoted to guard. (this does not count leaders. If you fail at killing a leader, you remain with the same number of strikeouts as you had.) Assassins are given special weaponry, designed by visionaries.
Witch. Witches use dark magic, supernatural materials, and herbs. They heal, catch spells, poison, brew, and all things a fantasy witch could do, though they do not have green skin, warty faces, and fly on broomsticks. All witches must be female, and may have kits or mates. They are initiated at the Tree of Departing, and some may become barren, blind, or acquire a mental issue or physical deformity (ex. a stub tail, a missing paw, etc.) as they are initiated. They may train Professional cadets.
Professor. A professor takes the role of a scientist, and tries to find a logical explanation of every problem in the clan. They classify animal types, take blood tests to see if captured clanners are of high worth, and keep track of each family in Departed souls. Only authorities can make a new family, and you may ask to join it, but any and all animals born to an authority bearing a family name must take that name, unless disowned. If you were born to, say, a deputy in the family Grimm, which is the absolute most respectable name in Departed Souls, and a Guard in the family Serial Killer, you would be named ____ Grimm Serial Killer. Professors track all of this information. They are considered wise, and are not to be attacked, EVER. They have access to all no trespass zones, except authority dens they do not have permission to enter. They may also train Professor cadets.
Professional trainer trainer. They used to be Professors, but retired, and now train Professor cadets. They have all of the same permissions as Professors.
Warmaster. War masters can declare war, send out troops of soldiers, and own a tent instead of a den. Each warmaster chooses their own General- if a warmaster is slain, the generals are demoted to soldiers, and the new warmaster, who was an authority cadet, picks new Generals.
Dementor. Dementors are second in charge, play the role of a deputy, and may announce meetings, lead raids, and send out assassins. There can only be three dementors. They have access to anything they want.
Dictator. I am the dictator. I am very sorry I have not introduced myself until now. I am Phobia Grimm, the head of the Grimm family. My job is to run everything, announce meetings, demote, promote, sacrifice, send assassins on missions, decide who is friend and who is foe, heal others when the Witch cannot, evacuate everyone during emergencies, and more. being dictator is hard, and the responsibility of everything weighs on my shoulders. There can only be two dictators.. (only one spot left for dictator.)
Alright, that took longer than expected. As I already explained the other places during the rank itroduction, how about we skip the tour? Oh, wait- I haven't said a thing about the tree of Departing. I'm too tired- I'm going to bed. My roleplayer can tell you the rest.
█ █ █ █
Ok, fine. The Tree of Departing is where dying cats go. They are brought there, and it is believed a limb of the tree will reach into the dying animal and pull out its soul, leaving behind the useless body. the soul will then either be deemed unworthy and be sucked into the heart of the gnarled tree for eternity, or be deemed worthy and be sent straight into the center of the earth, for the Departed slumber. It's pretty much just heaven or being trapped forever inside an infinity tree. Infinity trees rarely grow, but they live forever, and anyone who eats a golden berry off of an infinity tree will be granted eternal life, unless killed physically. A new dictator eats a gold infinity berry, so they have just one life to lose, but cannot lose it from old age. They will remain young forever, but the moment they are killed their true age will be revealed. However, they only grow when a dictator dies, so your cat can't just " oh, whoopdeedoo, I found a golden berry. Yum! Oh, my gosh! I live forever now!". N.O. If you roleplay that, we will pretend you ate a regular infinity berry, which is maroon and immediately sucks your soul into the tree for eternity. Also, SO SORRY I MADE THAT SO LONG xD. Here's my forum.
User;; ς๏ภŦยรเ๏ภ
Screen name;; dolly .
Name of animal;; Phobia Grimm
Age (cadet aged, child aged, above cadet aged);; A few moons above cadet aged. The young dictators often turn out the most successful. However, even if he weren't a little above cadet aged, he would still look like it because of the gold infinity berry
Species;; He had been born a black cat, though somewhere along in his madness as he became dictator, he acquired a power, multiple possessions. Since then, he has been taking over a Komodo dragon for war and any time he wanted to be like a boss.
Looks;;
1. KOMODO DRAGON
He will become large, blueish komodo dragon, with an unusually long tail and fiery red marbled eyes. Even though he has the same personality, he does not seem to love his jacket anymore, and instead wears a large, spiked collar and a black motorcycle helmet in the shape of a askull.
2. CAT
He is quite short, and covered in black fur. Scars cover his nose and tail, and it looks as if he gets scratched one more time, his tail will fall off. His pale green eyes are unforgettable, because of a large scar over one of them, and he's pretty feared throughout enemy clans even though we don't have any.... YET. MWAHAHAHAHA. Also, he seems to love one thing on earth, and only one thing- a black jacket with a huge, spotted collar and a skeleton imprint.
Personality;;
Phobia isn't really your classic bad guy- of course, your classic bad guy has a giant mustache and laughs like some maniac. He enjoys the power of being dictator, but it IS hard work to be the only dictator. As a kit (throughout his childhood he had always been a cat), he wanted to be a Professor. Well, they denied him- even though he was the son of the Dementor, he was believed too small and weak. A professor not only needs intelligence, but intimidation to make up for their lack of battle training. He grew to live with that, and settled for being an assassin- and he couldn't do that either. His mother refused to let him be a position lower than a Witch, and made him go through authority training. None of the jobs appealed to his mother (you know parents want something they can brag about!), except one, which her son was perfectly qualified for. A dictator. Well, the current dictator was nowhere near death, and he already had his training done. Apparently, crazy ran in the family, because his mother tried to murder the current dictator. They ended up both dying, but Phobia's mother pulled away from the Tree of Departing and entered Phobia's thoughts. The second dictator had started to become paranoid, because of the looks the young black cat was giving her- Phobia's mother was taking over and effecting his perfect personality. One day, as the dictator slept, the former deputy in the young black cat's body took over and slit the dictator's throat. When their leader wouldn't wake up, everyone came into the dictator den, where they found a bloody bundle of matted fur, with an ominous cadet standing over it. Of course, everyone recognized him, and though some wanted him executed, the authorities stated that there was nothing against it in the laws, and that Phobia was the official leader now. Immediately after, he executed the Professor who had refused to train him and all of the cadets who had teased him. Though his mother's soul had left, his mind was corrupted and he had gone insane.
Rank;; Dictator
Theme song (optional);; Going Under by Evanescence. ()
Secret code;; [size=1pt]SAINTS INTO DEMONS, THOUGH I KEEP LIVING

Alright, you've been hearing about these the WHOLE time- LAWS! There will be IN-ROLEPLAY laws and OUT-OF-ROLEPLAY laws
OUT-OF-ROLEPLAY
1. Do NOT disobey any higher authoritys' orders because you think you can escape the ENTIRE CROWD OF CATS THAT ARE MURDEROUS, QUICK, AND ALL WILL TRY TO KILL YOU AT THE SAME TIME. You see my point?
2. YOU HEAR THIS EVERYWHERE- No descriptive mating. Seriously, people, some person didn't listen to the rules on a thread I was on, and it was disgusting. I hope they got banned.
3. Do not roleplay someone you did not sign up for! This applies in all official clans, and this might become official one day.
4. DO NOT POWERPLAY. Ex. 'Example hissed and bit down on Monkey's neck.' Try 'Example hissed and leaped at Monkey, opening her/his jaws wide to bite down on his/her neck.'
IN-ROLEPLAY LAWS
1. The religion is strictly The Departed. Any other religious beliefs result in execution.
2. Disobeying any order will result in execution
3. Any Departed Soul member showing mercy to an enemy is considered treason and the member shall be executed. (Ex. if a clan leader comes you can't show them any respect, you must take them immediately to a dictator. They are the only ones to be shown mercy, and only if they have business here. If a mere warrior wanders here, they're sentenced to death)
4. (I am completely against this in real life) Homosexuality will result in execution. (You can have your character be gay, but they can't tell anyone, or they'll be executed. This rule will change later)
5. Trespassing in no trespass zones results in execution
6. Naturally, death is sentenced to those who try to harm the higher-ups
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, The family names! You may choose one or make a new one IF your character is an authority!
1. Most respected- GRIMM (must ask me to use this name)
2. Second most respected- SAVAGE (must ask Acrylic Ice to use this name)
3. Third most respected- SERIAL KILLER
4. Fourth most respected- SHADOWSEEKER (must ask •°•Ellen•°• to use this name)
5. Fifth most respected- JAIL (must ask Sinister Angel to use this name)
6. Second-to-last least respected- GORE
7. Least respected (so far)- INSANITY
[7. A name that souls may have, but it does not make them any more of an authority- SICKNESS]
Also, here's the role play thread!
