OOC: Well, Twilight and company (Minus Rarity and Spike) have arrived in Canterlot a day before a party that Lyra's running. (In this subverse, Lyra is in a rich Canterlot family) Once they arrived, Twilight underwent a strange mood shift and started being an all-around d**k to everyone around her. After they met Spike and Rarity in the Mareiott hotel they're staying in, Spike convinced the others that she was a changeling, referring to the incident with Cadence and Shining Armor. They soon find out that it isn't true when Spike informs Twilight of her previous behavior and she breaks down crying. Everyone makes up (Minus Rarity, who was outside the room at the time) and now it's time to give Rarity a recap as well.

Spike scribbled a note with the same message that the others were relaying, slipping it under the door of Twilight's room before accompanying Rarity to her room so he could explain what had happened.
Twilight lifted her head up as the note came in, floating it over to herself so she could read. "They're right- I do need to get ready," she thought aloud, managing a smile. The alicorn pushed herself off of her bed and trotted over to her mirror, reaching out with her magic to grab a hairbrush from her saddlebag. "After all, it would be a shame if such an important pony didn't look her best..."
With that, she set to preparing herself for the party.

OOC: I felt kind of in the mood for cliffhangers, so I'll leave Twilight with that for a while. On another note, I feel a Wikipedia excerpt is necessary...

Twilight trotted along toward Lyra's home, gaining a small smile as the building came into view. Unlike the others, who all had come in their dresses as planned, this particular alicorn had, once again, come with only Spike and her saddlebags and refused to let anypony see what she had inside. Rarity had refused to come altogether, locking herself in her room and insisting that she needed more time to prepare.

OCC: Sorry for inactivity, still having problems with internet.
ICC: Night Marvel, or Marv as she liked to go by, was flying down the street toward the address of the party. She wasn't wearing a dress yet, the dress she choose was safely put in the saddle bag she kept to keep up her image. Usually she wasn't very interested in going to public events, but maybe she could trick some poor gentlecolt or another mare. Snickering lightly, she picked up her pace just a bit, although not to much as to break the image she had set for herself among the general public. Marv's eyes were drawn, though, to somepony who she hadn't seen before and slowed down a bit, silently giving the purple mare a general look over. Well, well, well, looks like a new pony to mess with. Making sure to keep a mental note of the mare and what looked like her companion baby dragon (and cover the snicker that threatened to rise from her throat), she landed and decided to walk the rest of the way.

Glancing around, Twilight caught sight of her party-obsessed friend. After a moment of wondering why she hadn't brought out the Party Cannon, she chalked it up to being too predictable at this point. "Hey, Pinkie!" she called, waving to her friend before cantering over.
