What A New Set Of Elements! {RP}

Twilight wove her way through the crowd to a nearby stage, standing tall. It was a perfect vantage point, considering how both Rarity and the cannon were on the opposite side of the room. "Fire!" she shouted, turning a few heads.

Rather than the usual confetti that would have fired on a normal occasion, a large ball of fire sped out of the cannon's muzzle. It exploded once it hit Twilight, erupting into a swirling orange pillar of heat. The strange form continued for a few seconds before dissipating, revealing the changes it had make. Twilight's saddlebags were gone, replaced by a dress with an orange color that was all too similar to that of the fire that had just been swirling around her.

Rarity didn't seem any less impressed by the strange outfit, as well as the far-from-orthodox method of preparing it. "Well, you simply look stunning, Twilight!" she praised the Alicorn. "Though I must say, I never would thought orange to be your color. Altogether, though, it looks fabulous! Do tell me how you pulled off such a stunt!" "That's the genius of it- The cloth is woven from the fibers of phoenix wings... If they're burned thoroughly, then the ashes can be preserved and reignited, causing them to retake their previous form- Quite the display, if I do say so myself." Twilight put a hoof to her chest, proud of her handiwork.

{So am I, actually. I like it when things tie into the canon mythology in a way that makes sense.}

Almost instantly afterward, Twilight was whisked away by some curious partygoers, several of which were speaking of her wonderful taste and how it would be such a great opener for their new line. Rarity tried her best to ignore all the attention that was being taken away from her, reasoning silently that it made sense that she'd been outdone. Good for her! She performed well and received her prize. Still, what do I do now if there's nopony to- "Excuse me, miss?" Rarity's train of thought was cut off as she heard a familiar voice speaking behind her. She whipped around, surprised to see such a face there.

"Miss Rarity!" Fancy Pants exclaimed, suddenly recognizing the white unicorn. I knew I should have brought my good hat. "I must say, I didn't expect to find you here." "Likewise! What brings you to this establishment, anyhoof?" "Well, I happened to be in town when I heard of a particularly interesting party was being arranged. Rumor has it that the princesses plan to make an appearance." "What? No, that simply can't be true." "I suppose we'll find out, shall we? In the meantime," He looked past her, his eyes locking onto Twilight, who was still conversing with several others. "Just who is that exquisite friend of yours? She seems familiar, but I can't place my hoof on it..."

If Rarity could become any whiter than she already was, she probably would have blanched. Of course she'd catch his attention as well. "Oh, don't be coy," she joked, attempting to keep herself from getting too serious. "How could you not remember Twilight?" "Ah, yes, now I remember- Miss Sparkle!" With that, Fancy Pants trotted off to speak with her as well, leaving a particular white unicorn on her own.

Rarity jumped slightly, startled by the her friend's sudden appearance. "Oh, what? No, I-I'm fine, dear, just... I suppose I'm used to being the one everypony's fawning over. Twilight getting this much attention is just a sort of wake-up call to me. I'm not the only pony in the world- I guess this is just her way of showing me that." The unicorn felt a smile coming to her face. That had to be it. "You know what? I should congratulate her." Her gaze shifted about before locking onto the alicorn in question, who was now by the snack table, her crowd of locals in tow.

"Twilight!" Rarity called, hurrying over. "I do have to say, I'm impressed by how you've managed to sop up the crowd today." The discussion Twilight was holding suddenly quieted down at that, and the princess raised a brow. "Um... Thank you?"

Applejack watched them take Twilight she sighed shrugging a little and turned back to look t her friends "Attention is all she can get everyone loves royals" she said simply not angry or bitter just a matter of fact. She looked around the party and whistled slightly "The host sure is a well off pony" she observed quietly. Fluttershy kept silent as she bumped into this person or that. She would whither away from them and stayed as close to her friends as she possibly could.

Sapphire heart was looking around her dress looking at the party goers all 'high rollers' by pony standers. She nodded and walked into the party fluffing her sparkling wings out throwing her mane back and trotted through to the party.

ICC: Marv was quietly gazing around the room, it wasn't like she had anything better to do. Maybe she could do something other then what she originally planned? With a small sigh in aggivation at her indecisiveness, she stretched her wings a bit before looking around with a more observent eye. That's when she spotted Fluttershy with another group of ponys. It wouldn't hurt just to talk, so without further ado, she trotted over cautiously, putting on her shy persona. "Um...hi?" Although it was loud enough to hear, there was a soft quality to the tone. Hopefully she didn't startle the obviously shy pony even more, or others might get suspicious.
