  • "I'm serious Jay, don't get on my bad side." He said with a straight face before grabbing a hold of her wrist. "Now how about I show you around the castle," he spoke. He lead her through a trail if hallways and up a set of stairs before opening a door. In the middle of the room stood a great big bed that was draped in gold and brown bedding. It had a tower of matchin pillows with silk designs on them and drapes fell from the top of the bed frames in the corners. In the corner of the room was a grand hand carved dresser with a large mirror ontop of it. On the surface of the dresses were bottles of expensive perfumes and a beautiful hairbrush that's handle was made of gold. There were large glass windows against the wall where sunlight streamed in, in the other corner was a large silver bath that had steamy water in it. The last addition to the room was the large wooden closet that was open, revealing lots of elegant and fancy dresses as well as simpler one colored dresses. "This is your room," he said leading her into the room, "Sarah already got your bath ready, so you can bathe before we go to the dinner hall,"

  • "While the thought of watching you bathe is an intriguing one, I do have some respect for girls so I will be waiting at the dinning hall. While Sarah helps you and tells you the rules." He spoke. He walked out of the room and a few seconds later a young girl probably seventeen years of age walked in. She had brown hair that was tied back in a braid, and she had bright green eyes. "My name is Sarah, I will be your personal lady in waiting." She said with a small smile

  • "Hello Sarah, My name is Kathrine Jay Meadoe. But just call me Jay," she introduced herself. "Honestly, how can you stand working for that guy? He's so self centred." Jay started to get ready for her bath.

  • She let out a giggle before replying, "He's not that bad.... But he is pretty bad," she said. "But he is the only person that was willing to take me in, so beggars can't be choosers," she added. She got a bar of soap and tossed it into the water, "Let me know if you want a wash rag or scrubbing brush," she said. She went to the closet and mumbled things like, 'no,' 'too poofy' 'too simple,' then she said, "Aha!" She pulled out a dress and showed it to Jay, "Prince Luke will love this on you, though for your sake it has a lot of ties so it won't be easy for him to remove it from you,"

  • "He better not try anything," Jay grumble as she bathed herself. "Thank you, by the way. I'm glad someone around here is sensible and decent." She stood up and wrap herself in a towel. She walked over and sat on the bed.

  • "I agree, I'm the only teenage girl in this castle, so having another girl here is very nice," She smiled. She made her way over to the closet and took out a pair of soft silk undergarments, "These were imported," she smiled. She placed then next to Jay, "Now... the rules. Number one, don't disobey Prince Luke, He hates not getting his way. Number two, don't hang out with the men around the castle, Prince Luke gets jealous very quickly, and the last rule. Never run away. He will find you and punish you." she said with a serious face

  • Well it looks as if I'm going to end up breaking all of those rules, thought Jay with a wry smile.Jay looked at the silk undergarments incredulously. As she put the on she said, "Silk? Really?" She stood up right and looked backed at Sarah. "It must be hard being the only teenage girl in the castle. Feel free to come and ask me for any help of you need it," Jay said smiling sincerely.

  • "Thank you," smiled Sarah. "Sarah! The prince is getting impatient." called a guard from the other side of the door. "Oh dear." said Sarah, "Why don't you hurry and get dressed, I'll pick out a perfume for you," she smiled walking towards the dresser.

  • "Ok," Jay said as Sarah walked to the dresser. She groaned inwardly as she put on the dress, not wanting to eat dinner with the prince. She tied the corset, and turned to the mirror.

  • She picked up a small Crystal bottle and walked over to Jay, "This is Rose de'Amour... From France," she smiled. She sprayed a bit on Jays neck and then put the bottle back, "There, you look beautiful!" She smiled. Now come on!" She said grabbing ahold of her wrist and tugging her out the door. They reached a large dining hall and at the end sat Luke. "Nice of you to finally join," he grumbled. "It was my fault your highness," said Sarah quickly not wanting Jay to get into trouble, "I haven't talked to a girl in a while so I just got carried away,"
"Don't do it again," said Luke making Sarah's face fall a bit, he then he dismissed her and she walked out, "Paul, you can bring the food," called out Luke. Just then three men came out Arrington trays filled with delicious and fresh food. Once they placed it on the table try left but not before bowing. "Sit, and enjoy," smiled Luke

  • Jay looked sympathetically at Sarah as she walked out of the room. She sat down quietly and averted Luke's eyes. She look at the wonderful lay out of food before her and grabbed some silently, taking small bites out of it.

  • "You looked beautiful," he conplimented. He placed some food into his plate and started to eat, "Why don't you tell me a bit about myself, I don't want to marry an absolute stranger," he said giving her a charming smile, as he spoke the chef came into the dining room and handed both of them a glass of wine, before exiting the room

  • "There's not much to know. I've always been known as the baker's daughter," Jay said stately. "I'm not particularly talented at anything but I do enjoy cooking now and then, especially when it's pastries. I sometimes draw and sing. I read and write a little and I adore taking care of animals." She said, staring at her food the entire time.

  • He smiled, "That's nice." He spoke. "I'm more of an outdoorsmen. I spend most of my time outside the castle horseback riding or practicing fighting," he smiled. "I would like to take you out for a horse ride some time," he smiled

  • Jay looked up at him briefly then looked back at her food. As much as she wanted to ride a horse, she did not want to ride with Luke. "Even if I didn't want a ride, you'd forced me to anyway?"

  • He placed down his utensils then clasped his hands together and rested his elbows on the table, "Well, I think you want to ride. You just don't want to ride with me." He chuckled, "Don't worry Jay, your gonna get used to me, and then you'll start to see how lucky you are," he spoke taking a sip of the wine.

  • He finished up his meal and placed the utensils in the silver plate, he stood up and walked around the table stopping behind Jay. "When you are finished I'll take you to my quarters." He said, "Then I will show you something special,"
