    Cloudwing padded up to her apprentice Dovepaw and said "Today is you first day as an apprentice so we will explore the territory." She padded off to the fresh kill pile to eat before her day out of camp.

    Dovepaw watched her mentor grab something from the fresh-kill pile but she was to excited to eat.She saw a leaf in the breeze and she jumped,her paws hit the leaf and she slammed it to the ground purring in satisfaction.

    Ivywing rubbed the blackberry leaves on Snowpaw's bee stings.Ow Snowpaw meowed.Calm down Ivywing murmered

    Cloudwing padded back over to dovepaw after a nice meal and said "Let's go, we need to be back by sunhigh. I'm on the moonhigh patrol so I want to rest before" she padded over to the bramble covered entrance and ducked out. she sat down wait for her apprentice to follow her.

    Dovepaw dashed out of the entrance and almost slammed into her mentor.Then without being told to she dashed past Cloudwing and raced on a flattened grass trail then jumped on a fallen log which was resting against a beech tree.She scrambled up it,her unusually long legs making it an easy climb and climbed up on the first branch and looked around.

    Cloudwing murmered "Be careful you don't want to get hurt before we start. Get down now, we need to get going. Cloudwing padded off father into the snowy undergrowth in the direction of the Snowclan border. She greeted Icepelt and his apprentice Bramblepaw as they returned from hunting. She stopped and called over her shoulder "If you would hurry up we could start hunting practice!" She sat down and waited for Dovepaw to hurry and catch up with her.

    Dovepaw grunted and muttered to herself I was just checking for any weird smells but she didn't complain then she raced off through the snow,the white ice clung to her fur but she plowed through it and ended up racing right past Cloudwing again.She skidded to a halt but not fast enough and she gasped as the ground fell away beneath her.She muttered under her breath as she realized she had fallen in to a ditch but something caught her eye.Hearing Cloudwings paw steps draw near she slid into what she had seen,a tunnel.She raced into it and smelled the sweet smells of stone and earth.

    Cloudwing yowled and raced to the ditch just in time to see her apprentice's tail disappear into the tunnel. Cloudwing wanted to get Dovepaw back but she was scared. She remembered how her mentor had warned her about the tunnel yet she ventured in anyway. All she saw was blackness then heard barking in the distance. suddenly a blood curling yowl snapped her out of her memory.

    Dovepaw kept walking.She felt....Calm.The darkness felt comforting and she just let her paws take her through the twists and turns.She soon realized the tunnel had widened into a huge cave. A dark river ran through it and she padded to it.She lapped up the water and it tasted fresh.She sat down and looked around.

    Cloudwing called over and over for Dovepaw. But she never answered, Cloudwing was worried. She leaped into the ditch and followed Dovepaw's scent.

    Dovepaw stood up again and walked into a random tunnel that was on the other side of the river.But as she kept walking she realized she had taken so many turns and that her own scent was fading.Soon she reached a dead end and decided that she should go home but her scent trail was gone. The deep moist air had covered up her scent.

    Cloudwing started yowling at the top of her lungs. 'If Dovepaw cant hear me then what should I do?' she thought. Suddenly she had and idea, she would creep into the tunnel just enough so she could find her scent.

    Dovepaw caught a scent.She realized it was Cloudwings and at full pelt she dashed to the smell and collided with Cloudwing.

    Cloudwing was ready to attack at any moment but then realized it was her red apprentice starting back at her.

    Cloudwing and Dovepaw padded out of the tunnel, when they reached to light cloudwing found it was almost sunhigh. She needed to get back to camp. She mewed "We need to get back to camp, exploring the territory will have to wait."

    Dovepaw nodded.She followed Cloudwing through the snow.She shot past her mentor again and raced down a trail until she reached a river.Oh wow Dovepaw breathed in as she saw how big the river was.
